Yeah finishing of shyam track made the show a little weak and there wa no other strong lead introduced after that..Sheetal was not strong enough!

For SMJ
Thank you for this post.😃

Indeed he did play a HUGE role in bringing them together, so after he left they were kinda "lost". Glad you liked the post!

hmmm. it seems so. this is very true. ipk went completely offtrack after shyam.

i wouldn't say he was the " soul " of ipk but yes . he proved himself as a vital member of the show.

He was a key member of the show, regardless of how we felt of him. He was the one that kept the story moving forward. After he left I felt like the writers and whoever were left saying "Now what?"

This is also what i think...Shyam was the character that used to give the inputs to the writers and gave a seriousness to the soap and look back at all the dhamakedar entries that he got...writers definitely had a soft corner for him
And well he was the best villain I ever saw in an Indian TV show!

Well he did keep the story moving forward, whether that be his lies or failed murder attempts. This was my first Indian serial but indeed he did make quite an impression on me!

I understand that Shyam was a huge part of the show, but to me Khushi was the soul of the show. Life started and ended with her. Bas.

Definitely Khushi was right there through all of it! But theres only so much she can do to move the story forward. They really could have done A LOT with her character, taken it so many different ways. Alas they kinda let her character drift off.

Interesting. He did play a huge part in keeping them apart which created than tension and unpredictability which is essential to keep the suspense going. Once they got together, CV/PH did seem somewhat lost.

Once again, I strongly feel, they did not develop paralle tracks and explore other areas besides just relying on Arshi to pull the show. CV/PH got lazy. They let their show down. There was so much potential - ignored.
I agree - Shyam was one heck of a villein, very unique. IPK did give us epic characters. No dubt.

I felt like after Shyam the developers were left saying "Now what do we do?" The whole Shyam thing basically went on for the whole duration of the show, save the last month or so. In that time they could have introduced Sheetal, and build her up as a rather evil villainous. That would have given us time to get used to her.

lol.. he was the SUPPORTING LEAD..
😉

I think he was more than the "supporting" lead. He moved the story forward.

I always felt after Shyam was revealed (which seemed too easy for our detective trio knowing how sinister he was and always one step ahead he was) . It was a good time to end the love story, or as said introduce a parallel villain ahead of time, but alas it was not so.

Another option was bring Shyam back with sinister motives...

That would have worked as well, they could have explored how Shyam tried to kill Khushis father. That track could have went quite well, had they explored that.

They didn't give Sheetal enough time to develop into a villanous character. It was very quick for her. She was in and out within a couple of weeks. Where as we Shaym he was there for a good year or so, we began to recognize him as an actual potential threat.

I always thought since Shyam leave the show went down hill. Yes Shyam was a very important part of the show I'm disappointed cause his chapter wasn't even over yet there is alot more deeds he needs to pay for. Khushi never get to know what Shyam did to her father it's pathetic alot of stuff was left to unfold and the show end like this. 😕

They could have stretched out Shyams role a lot, he did A LOT of things that he never got called out for. Ehh its over now.

I totally agree with u even the kidnapping track was interesting bcz of shyam n ya dey could have introduced sme new villian with shyam or dey shouldnt have ended the dadi track dat quickly wen dadi doesnt know the real face of shyam den wat's da need of dat char.
I believe any story runs wen the hero heroine n villian all da 3 r present.Though its an old trick but its the successful one.
