I LOVE YOU FOR THIS.BAS!

Very well said Juhi! 👏
People mixed reel with real and got our show shut down.
Fans can voice their opinions to a certain extent. But not to that extent which closes the show entirely! The main problem of this forum is DELUSION! They live in that small happy bubble. They can't see Sanaya with anyone else other than Barun. It is so stupid and kiddish!
They totally mixed reel and real here.
And the number of posts which motivated this thought is countless and I blame these members for believing it.

I want to hope that fans will change their perspective after this but sadly seeing the forum's state after the show's end makes me doubt it highly!
Its getting worse day by day!
Now that the show has ended because of THIS Very problem mentioned in your post,my anger on these people is only getting doubled 😡

And I must add that ppl were aware of all reality and still continued with their dream. Constantly encouraged others with some vague stories and created a web of lies involving the lead's characters.

Even since I have joined this forum (my first I must confess) I have faced the constant confusion of how people viewed the reel and the real.
When I read posts that in one sentence spoke about Arnav and Khushi and in the next talked of Barun and Sanaya... I found myself go back and re read those lines to understand if the references were for the reel characters or the real actors who played those characters in those posts.

This confusion was made worse when the various champs got formed..
I was never sure why people who called themselves Barun fans got offended when ASR/ ARav was criticized as a character or for an action in a particular episode. Or why Sanaya fans felt they needed to arm themselves in defense when Khushi's track role or portrayal was not appreciated.
Of course the same happened in reversal for the Arnav and Khushi fans who would constantly jump to Barun and Sanaya's defense when the characters got criticized.

This is how I understood it...
While some people liked the actors, most were awestruck by the characters that were defined and enacted well by these actors.
However, somewhere along to me, the line that seperated the reel characters from the real life people who were professional actors and played those roles of Arnav and Khushi, seemed to have blurred and then completely vanished.

Thats is when Arnav and Barun and Khushi and Sanaya were and are mentioned in the same sentence as if they are the same people and Arhi/Arsi are seen as Sarun.

And this is when there is bound to be trouble in paradise!! When reel translates and is seen in the real world...not only are the real people and their personalities conveniently ignored, people assume that as viewers and consumers of a show that brings those characters to us, we are also the consumers and dictators of the actors and their personal lives.

So Barun is not allowed to quit being ASR / Arnav cause in many a minds he is ASR and Arnav and is answerable for his professional decisions to the world who are technically his company's customers. Just makes me feel grateful my company's clients don't have such dictating power over my career.

And when Sanaya wants to continue to work inspite of her colleague leaving, it is seen as Khushi not being dedicated in love. I cant imagine what I would do if my colleague's quitting can determine my job security.

People need to step back and remind themselves that their consumer rights are limited to enjoying a show and its storyline, acting and aspects related to what we see on screen and criticizing the same.

If we like the actor and his/ her past or future body of work.. then we may become their "Fans" other wise it would be a one role wonder what we would remember them as. We also get to comment/ snigger/ criticize/ gossip about their conduct as public figures whose lives are up for constant scrutiny.

But I dont think at any stage we get to dictate and decide what they could and should be doing in their personal or professional lives and defend its under consumer rights!!

Have to admit that the line between reel and real got blurred to many including myself and may be thats why it is getting hard to let go of this serial...it just proves how good SARUN were in portraying ARSHI .Yes if the line was not crossed may be we all could be still watching the show ..its a maybe bcoz there are other factors involved too!!

Jules very good analysis...Barun and Sanaya were totally in skin of the characters Arnav and Khushi.. and they made us to live in Arhi land...for us it bcomes Barun as ASR and Sanaya As Khushi...as for me always like Raj as SRK and Simran as Kajol...😊...some lovestory is like that when reel bcome real...these make all these mess...but now we all need to move on...no more IPK2...bcoz magic can create only once...and it is created and IPK always b as good memory of us...

Suji... its not a shocking thing when such burring happen where the character sketch is well written and the potrayal is par excellence... but the blurring happens to the extent that u can see anyone else playing that character. The actors who breathe life into those characters and translate them on a screen... make them seem real.
But the issue is when people cant distinguish between the reel and real after cameras are not rolling and extend imaginary rights and social responsibility to fictional characters and the real people who played them!
