Well they have and are still bearing the brunt cause when distinguishing between the reel and real fails then people think they need to take decisions and give support to the individuals who are consenting adults capable to deal with their own lives!!

Yes some criticise and go over board based on assumptions and without amble information, while other defend blindly just for the sake of being on the defense side. But like I said when someone chooses a profession that is of a public figure... criticism and praise is part of their trade and they will handle or learn to handle it in time!! If they need support.. am sure they will ask for it!!

well said yaar... but for some of the members around.. this is not getting into their brains.

On screen drama is reel life
Off screen drama is real life

Barun is not ASR, Barun just plays the character of ASR
SI is not KKGSR, SI just plays the character of KKGSR

it applies the same to every one else as well.

You can't request what the celebs do with their real life, u can only try to suggest the reel life story & not real life story.

Agree Rahul and this has been the problem with this forum forever...
I agree that a lot of times the actors personify the characters... for me too Barun and Sanaya played ASR and Khushi to the T so perfectly that I could not suggest another set of actors who could have done justice to the roles. But thats again their acting skills and capability to make those fictional characters believable.
But they dont become those characters or they are nothing like them in their real lives. And as an audience of the show we can control the storyline/ track of the actors lives, we can only be appreciators or critics!!

I never understood the concept of Customer Rights when it comes to entertainment industry. If I pay for a movie and absolutely hate it, can I file a complaint and get my money back.
People write reams about how much they invested in the show and the emotional investments they made and time spent and money spent. DId any one force them to part with their money, time or emotions and feelings. When they do it out of their own choice, likes and dislikes, where does cusotmer rights come from.
Unfortunately, the line between being a fan and a fanatic is very thin and once crossed, logic and sanity and what is reel and what is real is forgotten.
brilliant post Juhi (I hope I got your name right).

Yes u got the name right!! 😊
I get taking a journey with a show.. laughing at the happy times and crying at the sad lows!! But we do that for movies too right?
When the 1/2 episode gets over... its curtains drawn and we snap back to reality!!
I dont get believe almost starting women's right movement when Khushi does demeaning acts in a track to fight for her. Or condemning ASR when crosses a line of meanness in an episode.
Khushi and Arnav are characters and how to act and what they do is based on what the writers en down. So having movements for or against characters is like me fighting for Tom the cat against Jerry for bullying him. Senseless!!
If there needs to be criticism it should be against the writing when characters are poorly portrayed.
But this failed and fighting for characters went too far an moved to fighting for the actors.

Much needed post. 👏

Could have avoided this kind of frenzy and closure of the show if we had been able to keep the reel and real world apart.

The obsessive need for fictional characters to come alive, making their existence palpable in minds and dreams that we can no longer distinguish between the made up world in our heads and what's actually real.

I can only pity the people who let fictional characters take over their lives.

This blurring is not a new phenomena RC..
I remember laughing while reading an interview by Gulsan Grover where he said that women ran away from him screaming when they spotted in on sets or in public cause they feared he was a real life rapist!!
The impressions of the reel many a times translates in how we perceive the real, but seriously believing that the reel is the real too and twisting consumer rights to force down opinions and wishes on the actors' real life is just taking it too far!!

Its not a fact people are unaware of...
They just fail to control the blurring of the lines and dont want to accept reality!!
People know this but wont accept it!
