PAST CONTINUED
She rolls to his side & slowly slips her hand on his waist. She could instantly feel him stiff & then relax now days. Initially she could feel him get restless.. but 5yrs..umm.. these years have made him little comfortable. But she has learned it over years he is genuinely tired after ☺️. She took a deep breath. Humesha hi tired!!
Her pouting soon turned into sadness when each & every bitterness started to play back in her mind. Things were all fine. If u take like that. Maan was always a man of few words. He hardly spoke to anyone & the least to her. Maan was very serious types thats wat she understood of him now. Actually very serious type. He hardly socialized. He didn't even attend his office or client parties. Can u believe he didn't even watch movies forget watching TV. Yah he did watch tv... strictly news channels. She began to learn abt him as the time passed. Everyone respected him a lot & so a kind of admiration, respect formed in her heart with that came distancing.
She couldn't relate to him in personal level & phir uss din ke baad tho bilkul bhi nahi. She clearly remembered it had been just couple of months since there wedding. The usual sas bahu taunts. Daadi & pami always had their difference & nokh ' jhok. She never interfered in anything. She was way too practical & modern in her approach. She didn't believe in this nokh-jhok. She believed in not doing things which yourself don't like if some one else does it to u. So hear she was a clear miss fit.
Pami always taunted her most of the time over her family being not that high status as Khuranas. Pami would have never agreed for this marriage but it was Daadi who took an upper hand especially in matters like this. That could be another reason why pami disliked her so much. It was another day like this when pami had been really mean to her. Geet never answered back. She was really hurt that day. When Maan came back she rushed to the room behind him & hugged him crying out her agony. He instantly got worried & cupped her face. It was the first time he ever held her so closely other than their usual love making session at night & actually the first time looked into her eyes. That moment was something to be cherished for life long.. because it never happened again. Even today she feels it was probably her mistake. She should have kept quiet. To think abt it now.. she shied it was not that bad actually. But then she was young, new in the family. No one made her feel part of it, sadly not even him. There was no family talks. It was always Maan passing an order & that used to be final. Every one used to just follow wat he said. This was not the case in her house. Family used to talk. Ok .. darji used to take decisions but family spoke, like sitting together, "the family time". There was nothing like that. Only person who made her feel little like a family was Daadi. But then all that was easily ruined by pami just in a fraction of sec.
It was one of such day & she was all time low. All she needed was a sweet talk, just a hug. Just some one to make her feel special. Tell her its not always her fault. Well she expected that from the Maan Singh Khurana her husband, who didn't know wat emotions meant. But that moment when he looked into her eyes in concern he did look vulnerable.. like he did have emotions & all she had to say the reason for her tears was some silly fight with saas.. dammit!! it was not even a fight, it was pami again saying something mean to her. She instantly saw his eyes spitting fire. He stepped back like he disowned her. His anger had no limit.
Wat guts u have have to complain abt my mom to me
her eyes welled up & anger filled in. she was never angry abt wat happened. She was only upset all she wanted was a hug from him. & his anger only made her angry now & she too spoke back forgetting she was talking to the Maan Singh Khurana, that too in a tone no one ever spoke to him
Aur kis se kahoon. She always does this to me. Main ne tho kabhi aap se kuch nahi kaha. Lekin today she crossed all the limits, she.. before she could complete she felt a hand hit her cheek. She glared back at him angrily. How dare he? Before she could voice it out
he spat in out in shear frustration. Tum unse kitni choti ho ummar main. Can't u atleast consider that. He pointed his finger angrily don't u dare raise ur voice at me ever again. Aapne haad main raho Geet is wat she heard last from him on that topic. Well it would have been far better had she not wrecked up the topic itself, that wat she feels now.
She smiled sadly probably things would have been different now. Atleast she wouldn't have feared him as much as she does now. Something that episode left an impact that she could never share anything with him after that. Nor did he try to make it alright. Probably he didn't even notice.. she felt a fresh layer of tear form in her eyes. She immediately wiped her tears & sat upright to look fine.
After that incident when ever she approached him all he had to say was grow up Geet.. or Geet aapni bachkani harketen bant karo. Or I don't have time for ur saas - bahu talks.
Not that he was male chauvinist types. He never expected her to do all those wify things like cooking for him, or doing up his wardrobe. Actually he was very independent that way. He didn't even like if she tried to. Kitni bar kaha, I will manage. He preferred she did something rather useful than taking care of house hold kiosk. More over it was KM they had so many people to do all that. Thats when she decided to get back to her work.
