"Yes Jeevika you heard me right. Will you become the daughter in law of our family? " Swamini repeated her question.

Unable to contain her happiness, Jeevika simply wrapped her arms round Swamini's neck in a tight embrace. Resting her head on her shoulder she simply nodded.

"I knew it! I am so happy, thank you so much Jeevika. Welcome to family." Swamini replied as she carassed her hand over her hair.

Viren stood outside the room, overhearing the whole conversation. He stood there dumbfounded. He hid himself behind the curtain just as he felt Swamini kiss Jeevika good night and leave the for her room.

Jeevika sighed and smiled. She felt so happy and content. Finally her wish had been fulfilled. She was going to be the bahu of the Wadhera family. Her life is going to be perfect. Her life is...

Her chain of thoughts came to an abrupt end when she felt a sharp pull pin her to wall."Viren," but before she could continue Viren roughly covered her mouth with her hands. His eyes were red with anger and looked at her directly in her eyes. She sensed that was not happy.

"How could you do this?" he stormed at her. There was pain and anger in his voice. " You are my wife! How can you agree to Badi Maa's proporsal ? How can you say yeas to Rahul ? Have you forgotten that you are already married?"

"Rahul. But was she not talking about you? Oh my God! What have I done?"

Viren looked into her eyes and pulled her firmly by the waist. Her soft body crashed into his hard masculine torso. Unable to control himself anymore Viren bent forward and captured her lips in a long hungry kiss. Jeevika let him take the lead. She knew he was hurt. How could she do such a big mistake? They finally broke apart for want of air. They were panting heavily as if they had just ran for a whole mile. Viren continued kissing her forehead, cheeks, jawline and lips. Jeevika combed her fingers through his hair messing it all up.

Viren stopped when he felt a tear escape Jeevika's eye. He looked up but she wasn't ready to meet his gaze. She continued looking down. "Jeevika what happened?"

"Viren Badi Maa?" Viren lifted her up and walked silently to his room, careful not to make any noise as to awaken anyone up. He made her lie down on the bed and covered her with a quilt. He sat beside her stoking her hair.

"I will talk to her tomorrow."

"But how will she react?

"I don't know. I am sure she will be upset. We didn't tell her when we got married last year in Mumbai."

"It is all your fault Viren. I hate you ." She slightly pushed him as she got up to sit straight. She started hitting him on his chest, "I hate you, I hate you, this is all because of you ."

"Stop!!!" He firmly held her hands and then wrapped then around her delicate frame and made her sit up in his lap. She rested her head on his shoulder and flung her arms round his neck. For the next few seconds the two sat silently enjoying each others company. He stroked her back and hair. She kept kissing him and making patterns with her fingers on his chest.

"Viren why don't you tell everyone that we love each other and are married?"

"You know my reason darling."

"That is stupid."

"It is not."

"Viren when I don't care about my career as a model then why do you?"

"It was your dream to become a supermodel."

"I accomplished that. Now I want you. I am at the peak of my career but I am not happy. I want to get over with it and settle down. Sometimes I feel you don't love me."

"Don't you dare say that again. I don't need to prove my love for you. Get it!"

"I am sorry Viren, I didn't mean to hurt you. But how do you know that Badi Maa was talking about Rahul and not you? She asked me whether I wanted to be the DIL of the Wadhera family? So technically it implies to you."

"I know but she thinks we don't like each other. Rahul came to me today when you were away at the function, and told me about the whole conversation he had with Badi Maa."

"What are we going to do now? What if she doesn't agree to this marriage?"

"I don't know. Lets just go to sleep we will talk about this tomorrow morning." He made her lie down again and got up to close the light but she held his hand.

"Don't go. Please."

"I am right here. Let me close the lights."

He switched off the lights and came lay next to her. He enclosed her in his warm embrace, she hugged him back.and the two slept peacefully.
