Parul Chauhan of 'Sapna Babul Ka… Bidaai' fame is excited about her debut 'Myoho – The Mystic Law', as the film reveals the theory of cause and effect. "Yes! The offer came to me as a surprise. It happened instantly .The film talks about karmic law… What you sow so shall you reap within this life," says Parul.

Explaining her character she adds, "I play the role of a simple lass from Bihar. The story narrates the tale of this girl and is set in 1934. In the second half my character is that of a modern woman from Mumbai. All characters are repeated and their lives continue in the second life too." Written and directed by Ranjan Shandilya, the film depicts both the good and the bad sides of karma. It is said that the music of the film will be liked by both the masses as well as the classes.

Chauhan talks about comments on her complexion. "It is so very irritating when people say 'yeh to kaali hai'. But I remember my mom always gave me confidence and pampered me saying I have lovely features. Slowly I gained confidence and started considering my complexion an important feature of my good looks," says Parul.

She adds, "When I was chosen for the lead role in 'Bidaai', people on the sets would unhesitatingly whisper and talk about my dark complexion. But Alok Nathji would always boost my morale and say 'Beta, tu apni acting par dhyaan de and one day you will scale new heights'."

Then things turned for the better, and so did people's attitude towards her. "Today when people meet me they get confused and say 'Oh! You looked so dark in the serial! Was it the make up? In person you look nice.' It doesn't bother me anymore. I have realised that talent makes a person," she chirps.

Chauhan says she has never experienced a casting couch situation. "I think it depends on the person. I was confident of my talent and struggled every day. I remember I did not have even five rupees to spend on a sharing auto and would walk miles. But I was determined to get my way through hard work. I also remember I got just 12 percent votes for my looks at the initial stage but when 'Bidaai' turned out to be a hit, the same audiences fell for my persona and my votes increased to 99 percent. This is what makes me feel proud. A person is known by his/her talent. But yes, one needs to be presentable and that I am," she smiles.

Parul is the proud daughter. "Surely, I remember my relatives would look down upon us because we were not affluent economically. They would travel by car while we travelled by bus. They always looked down upon all of us and especially when I was planning to struggle in this profession they would mock at me. But today I have presented a lovely car to my parents and proved them wrong. Although their wagging tongues have stopped but today I like to maintain a distance with them," she says.

Lastly, Parul says, "I am not single and I shall get married in two years time. It is going to be a love marriage.
