"I know, but there is absolutely no hurry. Take your time, after all your future depends on this one decision."

"Badi Maa, I think I like her," he replied hesistantly.

"So should I take this as a yes from your side?" Excitement overtook Swamini as she looked at him, waiting impatiently for a reply.

"Well I think you should ask her first. If Jeevika is okay with this proporsal then take it as a yes from me as well." He smiled shyly while his eyes examined the wooden flooring of the living room.

"Really? Wonderful! I will talk to Jeevika about it today only. I am sure she will never refuse me. I am so excited, Jeevika is going to be the bahu of the Wadhera Family. "

"Are you sure she won't say no because we hardly know each other ?"

Swamini smiled her brightest, nodding her head in affirmative. She gave a final pat on his hand reassuring him of the upcoming happiness in his life. "Jeevika is a wonderful girl. I will talk to her today."

The Hall was filled with the sweet scent of mehndi/henna. Young girls sat on the floor making intricate and beautiful designs on the hands of the Manvi and other guests. Ladies sat in the centre of the hall playing the drum, singing while some danced to the music.

Jeevika hurriedly came out of her room and hurried herself to the hall. She knew she was late and Swamini would surely not like this.

"Stop!"

Jeevika frowned as she heard his voice.

"What is it? I am already late because of YOU !"

Viren smiled looking at the beauty standing in front of him. She looked gorgeous in a light blue saree, with a backless blouse, with minimal makeup, hair tied up in a loose bun and simple diamond earrings.

"I think you forgot your necklace." Viren looked at her innocently, shaking the necklace in his hand. "Come I will make you wear it."

Jeevika turned her back on him, while Viren hooked the necklace round her neck. "Viren I am late because of you, now you better drop me of to the hall."

"Here done. Oh so you are late because of me, huh? I don't think so. Anyways I am a bit busy you carry on ." and he turned to go back to his room, " You may take the driver if you want."

"OMG!!! You.., " but it was already too late, Viren had left and Jeevika knew it was futile to argue with him, he would never agree to take her. She had to hurry herself to the hall, so it was better to take the driver only.
