OVI Bursts, Arjun Blasts...

Let us talk about the slapfest first...

After all the anticipation of it for the past few days, the slap itself became insignificant, for there was no background thapad music to it 😉 and the whole dumb family seem least bothered by it. Not to say, I didnt enjoy one of it, atleast .. 😉...Putting that aside, I guess it is an accepted thing in their family, each slapping one another, especially if it involved slapping Purvi. It seems to be taken for granted, her being the punching bag of all!! First her Aai, now her daughter. The surprising act was not that Ovi slapped, most women who are out of control and in hysterics, react that way.It was the darling mother who barely did anything to protect the adopted daughter, was the most glaring factor there. The old Archana would not have accepted it as indifferently as she did today with such a lack lusture protest. I guess, her new found family or rather the new found romance, has taken precedence over all. Manav was at least better in that sense. he other glaring part was that everyone was busy calming and comforting Ovi,but not one, mind you, not one, ventured to comfort Purvi. This is exactly what I said, when she moved into the D-house. When push came to shove, there will be no one for her. And this, idiot girl thinks it is her family and doesn't get it. Today, it proved all over again that Purvi was truly an orphan, in every sense.

But, for me, Arjun slapping Ovi was significant. For Arjun, to react and do it itself shows his frustration, anger and helplessness in handling Ovi. It was not the act itself, but what is conveyed by it is what we need to look at. To me, it was not a spousal abuse as some opined yesterday, but more to control a hysterical woman (right or wrong), to bring her to her senses so she listens to the other person. None in that room know how to deal with her hysterics. More so, her father who raised her. For, he is mainly to blame for the way she is. They just look on helplessly, despite their age and maturity which is a major disappointment. It is my POV, of course. The less said about DK, the better. It probably was bad editing, but they showed DK with a smile, when this was happening' J

Punni, was at her best (or the worst), at what she does. She knew how to play Ovi - "Arjun tumhara thaa. tumhara hi rahega.." She kept prodding and pushing until the silly girl lapped it all up. She wanted the public display of Purvi's humiliation, and she got it from Ovi. Bravo for her !!

Ovi, what do I say about this girl? Her total insecurity about her husband's love, the negative help from Punni, mainly her knowledge that Arjun does not love her, has pushed her to this today. Hence, the outburst ! It probably was time for it anyway. Not the right time nor the right place. But, was inevitable at some point ! Even if Punni instigated her, where is her thinking? Why did she not give a thought to her parent's joy of the day? This shows her single focus in her life, which we all know. Granted, she can question Purvi for all it is worth, but who gave her the right to slap Purvi? Is she her punching bag? This was the second time that she did it. When did Purvi promise her to stay away from their life? How does what happened in Pune conference relevant anymore? Why doesn't she first ask Arjun about the messages instead of Purvi? If Purvi was as bad she thinks, of course, she would have an explanation for all. She doesn't want to confront him for the only reason for she has the inner fear, what if he leaves her...She was totally out of control today, in her emotions, words, actions, everything..This shows her state of mind and her propensity to fester and go over the edge.. I think, we will see more of it in the future, whether Arjun reconciles with her or not. In some ways, I felt bad for her today, for the state she is in. No girl should have to have this much insecurity and unhappiness in life. But, she brought it on all by herself. No use blaming Purvi or even Arjun. Why blame them? She wanted it knowing everything. Time to face it, girly !!

Arjun, my boy, you did us proud today ! For, he was finally what he is ! I am not talking about the slap, mind you, before some of u go there. It is the candour with which he questioned her, showed his disappointment in her and the frustration in her actions. For he now saw, right or wrong, her state of mind, and how over the edge she was. He was the only one in that room who again pointed out what Purvi's act did for Ovi, and made them aware of it again. For, they seemed to have glossed over it all, just in a month, as though nothing significant has happened, and are pretending that it was a 'normal' marriage. Including, the useless parents. For me, they are the worst parents any child could have, be it, Ovi or Purvi. They have not been there for either child. His frustration, anger and helplessness was so well done today.. "Yes, I love her !! " was the best for me today..Bravo, Arjun ! Mighty proud of you today !

Why is the fact that he still loves Purvi surprise the family, baffles me ! Especially the so-called Pavitra Rishta couple whose love lasted 18 yrs, but Arjun's love was supposed to dissipate expediately in a month, just because he has Ovi now ! Hmmm... Kinda asking for too much, isnt it?? Why does the fact that Ovi and Arjun not share a bed cause such shocked expressions? What do they think he is? A cassanova? To shuck his feelings aside just because he is married and hop into any and every bed?

Lastly, when is evil, like Punni, ever going to get punished in PR! Will that day ever come? Or, is she going to get away with it all? Will Ovi ever realize how Punni has used her? Purvi still hasn't even after repeated incidents...So, I wonder...

The precap showing Purvi asking Arjun to move on, is really not unexpected if you think about it. I was rattled first too, but it is not a mahaantha act of hers. What Arjun says to it or does not say is yet to be seen tomorrow. Whether he agrees to her or just does not say anything, indicating reluctant agreement is something to be seen. But, realistically, what else can we expect from them after this outburst? Can they ever get back together after all this? If Ovi's baby is Arjun's, however conceived, an ARVI union is something we can forget.. For, Arjun is an honorable man and will not desert Ovi in such a case, whether he likes his life or not. And Purvi, will never do it even if she has Arjun's child, for that would cause irrevocable damage in family relationships..Do I want this? HELL, NO !! So, friends, we will be at a stalemate, unless, some other twists are planned. So, let us stay calm and wait for the drama to unravel !! That is all I can say, at this point, sadly !!
