Shilpa Saklani aka the bold Ganga is all set to join her other Kyunkii… costars on the sets of Karam Apna Apna. She has been cast opposite Salil Ankola in a vital role.She will play the role of a shrewd businesswoman Alpana Sehgal. "I play an unmarried fearless woman who has loads of attitude & arrogance.She is the most unpredictable person of the show" says Shilpa.
In the serial she will play the ex-flame of Mahen Kapoor(Salil Ankola) who ditched her to marry the daughter of a rich businessman and now she has returned to destroy the man once
she loved the most.
Talking about her role in the serial, Shilpa says"My character will start with a grey note but gradually you will see a positive side of Alpana. Earlier I will be unrecognizable to everyone including Mahen Kapoor & my family as I will be shown to have undergone plastic surgery on my face in the past. I am the only one who knows about the evil side of Mahen Kapoor which is hidden to everyone including his wife & family".
When asked whether she is the latest Sautan in the balaji camp, she laughed & says"I am not the typical sautan you see in every other show. I am not here to snatch a man from his wife or his family. Infact I am the one who will befriend his wife & family especially his son, not out of any revenge but due to their innocence & non-involvement in my life's tragedy . I will be the one instrumental in bringing the twist in the life of the protagonist of the show.I will share a deep emotional bond with her because my past is related with her family which I can't reveal now.But one thing is sure that you will see me in a new avatar who although is not the protagonist but she is not like the usual protagonists or other characters you generally see in your favourite television serials".
When asked about her other commitments, she says"My hands are now full with Rin Mera Star Superstar, Kyunkii… and Karam Apna Apna. At present I am not in a mind to sign any other new project.I am happy with what I have now."
