| Groovers and shakers Catch up on the starry Nach Baliye 2 party, with us as your guide Ranjib Mazumder Weren't they supposed to come in two-by-two? But jodis be damed, they all came stag. The earliest to make an appearance was Manav Gohil, and he was about three hours behind the time printed on the card for the Nach Baliye 2 party, held at Squeeze, on September 20. He came in without his partner Shweta Kawatra (she joined him much later).
Gaurav Chopra strode in next, again, without Narayani Shastri. Not that he seemed to mind. "Narayani is in Dubai, so I guess I have to dance solo today," he announced cheerfully. Raja Chaudhary obviously missed his wife (Shweta Tiwari was away shooting), although Gaurav seemed happy to burn the dance floor by himself. Ketki Dave seemed to notice Raja's predicament and came to his rescue finally, giving him company.
It was only at midnight that the dance floor had some couples on it - Tanaaz-Bakhtyaar, Hussain-Tina, Sharad-Kirti, Arjun-Gurdeep, Yash-Gauri, Hiten-Gauri (Pradhan, not Tonk). These couples evidently had their instruction sheets from the channel well-rehearsed, for they proceeded to display their love before the TV cameras almost immediately. A kiss here, a hug there, the affection seemed as well-choreographed as their dance steps. Of all the couples, Sharad and Kirti got their PDA (public display of affection) most perfect. They grooved to the music, bodies entwined.
Last year's Nach Bailye couples, Delnaaz-Rajiv, Varun-Rajeshwari, Amit-Neeru, Sai-Shakti along with Shilpa Saklani and Ritu Chaudhary also hit the floor. Delnaaz made sure that her future sister-in-law Tanaaz got the royal treatment.
Of course, there was cake-cutting ceremony. Time for Bakhtyaar to get active. He hogged the microphone and persuaded everyone to leave the dance floor to cut the cake. Not everyone actually. We noticed that he only called out to the Nach Baliye 2 couples... Obviously, this wasn't the time to share limelight to non-NB types!
