Mumbai, September 19, 2006 - Farhan Akhtar's forthcoming Don may attract 'A' certificate just because Shah Rukh Khan has been shown smoking stylishly. The members of Censor Board feel that this type of smoking inspires the youngsters to copy him and that will encourage smoking among them.
Shah Rukh Khan is playing Don, which originally played by Amitabh Bachchan.
Shah Rukh, however in a recent interview, gave a different view from that of Censor Board.
He said Don is actually against smoking but when he puts a cigarette in his mouth, 'I am trying to quit it' when gang members come to light it," said Shah Rukh.
"If you are talking about 'A' certificate for that, you see what I do next...smoke coming out of all my orifices," he laughed jokingly.
Shah Rukh himself is a chain smoker in real life.
However he's desperately trying to quit smoking, as said while launching a cancer drug developed by city-based Biocon. "I am trying my best to quit smoking. But it's difficult. I am trying to reduce it. I have reduced it a lot", said Shah Rukh.
Smoking is not a blessing but a curse when the smoker fails to leave this bad habit. Censor Board is desperately after educating the youngsters to refrain from smoking.
