Leo.. I do not think that @ Bold would have helped. Do you think Rashi is not praised? I think you forget times when Rashi actually did something good and was praised by Koki and Hetal for doing it well. It is only in Rashi's mind that the competition with Gopi lies and not Koki who makes her compete.
The basis of Kokila telling others that Gopi did the rangoli was to just show Rashi that what she is trying to prove is not what she should be after. Rashi need not prove that Gopi also needs her. That is known fact and that was the basis of the punishment. But the vice versa is what was needed to be understood and acknowledged by Rashi. That she, Rashi, also needs Gopi.
Koki does not want Rashi to be like Gopi. She is telling Rashi to quit comparing herself with Gopi. Yes. Gopi is praised. It started at her in laws. I am sure Rashi has been praised too all her life. The difference is Rashi, instead of working towards blending in like Gopi did just wants to upstage Gopi because what Gopi has Rashi thinks she wants. There is a difference.
Rashi is not a victim in her sasural. She projects herself to be after every mistake she makes siting Koki correcting her. That is actually what is making her look like a victim when actually she did commit the mistakes wantedly. So before we accuse Koki of picking on Rashi, we need to accuse Rashi for giving multiple circumstances and committing errors wantedly for which she is picked upon

That was not the intention. The intention was to prove that Gopi needs her but not acknowledge the vice versa. If the intention was only to show that Gopi needs her, then the fact that her help gave Gopi praises should not have hurt. But it did. The ulterior intention was to upstage Gopi. I can live with Rashi being selfish. I can live with her need to be praised. Heck that is what all of us do. But what is wrong and what Koki showed her was the difference between wanting to be praised and doing things for the family. One does not 'expect' praise in a family. It comes when you do not expect it
koki highhandness and being a dictatior is getting a lil too much , yes rashi should respect gopi but at the same time does heltal rule or koki?? hetal is the mild one so why cant it be the same with rashi and gopi? ( yes rashi needs to treat her equal) but koki also needs ot trreat rashi equal!!
You are talking of two very different dynamics her. Hetal is mild and Koki the dominant. Yes. But Koki does not want to upstage Hetal. They co exist. They respect and love each other. Koki does not go around bitching about Hetal to her mother. Nor does she disrespect Mota Bhabhi in anyway or taunt her about being the Jethani. Have you seen that between Rashi and Gopi?
Rashi wants to rule over Gopi. She still considers her a servant rather than a SIL or cousin. Two very different things between the two pairs. They cannot be compared😊

It is only now that Gopi does not work. Only after getting pregnant. Koki made that clear too. One thing. They do not show Koki, Hetal working. Meethi keeps working on something and Rashi does use her and sometimes abuse her. I guess we can conveniently overlook that because she is what a servant?😕
Gopi was working like a servant. She used to cook, clean and do all that Rashi is doing now and also do Rashi's work for her. That was how it was and how it would have been if Gopi had not become pregnant.
I agree on one point. Koki can be a little more lenient with Rashi. But with Urmila always showing her the wrong path and Hetal not being strict, Rashi needs someone who can tell her the truth about herself. A mother who is frightened the child that he/she is wrong because the child may dislike her is no good mother. A mother tells the child the right way and correct her.
Koki is being the mother she can be. She may not be ideal. But she has Rashi's best interests at heart. As for Rashi.. well she thinks Urmila is the ultimate being. That itself answers the question.
