Piling on Apurva
I was shooting in Powai for Jassi. We packed up at three and I left hoping to reach my home in Lokhandwala. About seven hours later, and having explored all the possible roads that I thought could take me out of the place, I landed back in Powai at 9.30. There was a small lake on a hill somewhere which had begun to overflow. So, along with the water there were stones that were falling all over the place. My car had begun to vibrate violently and I was really scared. I decided to check into Renaissance but I had heard horror stories of waist-deep water around it so I decided against going there. I saw a few places around, but the situation was more or less the same. In the meanwhile the studio had shut down and I was stranded. Finally I managed to get through to Apurva (Agnihotri) who was stuck somewhere around the area as well. A few frantic calls later we landed at his relatives' house in Powai at about eleven in the night. The next morning I decided to leave early but reached my house in Lokhandwala only at 11 am.
