| After the highly debated film censorship, it's now TV content which is the hot target of snipping fingers! Post the 7/11 blasts there were debates about news channels flashing gory photographs of the victims. Talking about the daily sagas - be it the rape sequence in Kyunki Saas Bhi Bahu Thi, or the multiple-extra marital affairs in almost all shows, the cozy scenes in Viraasat and Kasamh Se and the violence depicted in, believe it or not, cartoon channels…..all this and much more has come under scrutiny! A recent censorship order was passed by the Bombay High Court blanking out 'A' and 'U/A' content aired on TV. Do we really need a regulatory body which will decide what we watch at home, sitting as couch fries? Riya V. Anandwala corners some actors from the television fraternity who give their piece of mind on this controversial issue! Ram Kapoor- "Its mere hypocrisy!" I am totally disgusted with the idea of censoring television content. It's an extremely hypocritical situation when these parents are opposing the English channels. If they intend to condemn their children from watching adult stuff, they first need to control internet through which children are exposed to anything and everything. According to my knowledge there is nothing vulgar or obscene on television that it should have a censor board! In worse to worst situations we need to have a system by which we can lock up channels, as they have abroad. by da way ram looks MAD in dat pic!!😃😳 sorry if posted before!! |
