Salman Khan's Pathan getup in 'Sher Khan' dropped
It was reported on Nov. 5, 2012, that Bollywood actor Salman Khan's Pathan look for his upcoming Hindi movie "Sher Khan" was now dropped.
The plan was to give Salman Khan a revamped physical appearance for the role of a modern-day Robin Hood.
Apparently fans prefer seeing Salman Khan as himself. Disguises and getups don't work for him. Though he sported a moustache in "Dabangg", that is the limit.
The plan of giving an elaborate 'look' of a Pathan for Salman in Sher Khan has now been dropped and he would now look like his normal self.
A source close to the project said that disguises, get-ups, facial hair and prosthetics work for someone like Amitabh Bachchan, but they don't work for Salman Khan.
If Salman had sported a beard or grown his hair or tampered with his normal look, the film has fallen flat.
The examples being movies like "Suryvanshi", "Nishchay", "Saawan" or the recent "Veer". But as Salman is loved by his fans for the way he is, the plans were scrapped.
Salman's brother and "Sher Khan" director Sohail Khan confirms that Salman will be looking normal.
