A little self-introspection for Anandi?

I liked today's episode but I feel that Anandi definitely needs some self-introspection as well.

Shiv was wrong, no doubt...he got pulled in by the 'evidence' Jagya presented vis a vis the keepsakes saved by Anandi, but more than that it was Anandi's OWN words that forced him to believe all this...Has Anandi ever DIRECTLY clarified to Shiv that she isn't marrying him only for her mother's last wish? Has Anandi ever paused to wonder about her behavior at the engagement wherein her "Jagya radar" went off and she so RELUCTANTLY put the ring on Shiv's finger? Has Anandi ever paused to reflect on her behavior while caring for "patient" Jagya? Has Anandi ever paused to think that she may not be the only sacrificing and mahaan person in this world?😆

I actually felt a little ironically amused today while listening to her bhaashan cuz here is a girl who's literally been a pillar of goodness and sacrifice all her life...too bad for her that she ultimately had to face a man trying to do the same for her in her life...however misguided in some senses...but it was Shiv's GOODNESS that propelled him to this point.

Anandi is right to feel hurt, no doubt...she feels hurt, disappointed, betrayed by Shiv...fair enough...but I think she also needs to think about her own actions that have contributed to all this...Shiv has been her pillar of strength as she herself described today...should she also not pause to think for a moment what could possibly shake that pillar for a bit? If she says it was her mistake that she thought Shiv understood her very well, what about Anandi's own perception towards Shiv? Aren't his pain, his feelings part of the equation as well? How perceptive has Anandi herself been about those in all this time?

A misunderstanding, a situation being brought to this point requires equal parts contribution from both parties involved...and it's a bit disappointing to see that Anandi has totally absolved herself of all responsibility towards that in this case and the focus is all on Anandi's hurt at being "rejected" again but when she and everyone else CLEARLY know why Shiv did this, shouldn't they then atleast for a bit pause to think about why things reached this point?

Anu: Completely agree. I for one always wanted to see this introspection of her feelings for Shiv. Never seen that although she did tell Shiv that she has no feelings for Jagya at one time.
She herself probably hasn't realized her feelings for Shiv yet. Hope they do show her reflecting on this in tomorrow's episode when Shiv tries to pacify her.

Dixie, I think maybe I expected too much from this epi😆...I got all excited on Friday thinking that Anandi will clearly point out her choices and shut up Jagya once and for all too...but it didn't really play out that way.

Most of the focus was only on Anandi blasting Shiv cuz she was so hurt by his actions even though she completely UNDERSTOOD his intentions which were not about "rejecting" her.

Instead this turned into a long drawn out bhaashan about all the wrongs committed on her person all these years...and I'm not denying that those are all very true but I was looking for something more from this scene apart from Anandi talking about how other people have made choices for her...

In the end this scene only ended up being about Anandi shaming Shiv for what he did, making him feel small when he already felt so terrible DOING what he was doing to begin with...I think this was Sid's finest acting on the show so far...he emoted beautifully with his eyes.

I feel this scene should have made me feel BOTH Shiv and Anandi's hurt acutely...but somewhere b/w all of Anandi's rebukes directed at Shiv, I don't think the effect came through...I think this would have been a fantastic scene if ALONG with all her rebukes, Anandi had given a bit MORE, revealed a bit more of her feelings towards Shiv more clearly...all it ended up being was a reiteration of the things that Jagya has told Shiv anyways too...that Anandi respects him a lot, Anandi calls him her best friend etc. etc...it the writers had actually taken the risk of making Anandi MORE frank, that would have been quite a twist.

On a slightly different tangent, I was reminded of a scene from another show I watched a few months back...Na bole tum na maine kuch kaha...there was a scene where the protagonist Megha is blasting Mohan after she feels shattered at him betraying her trust in him and in the middle of her rant, she almost bursts out saying that how could he do this when he loves her...and I thought that was BRILLIANT twist from the writers to put in something like that when we were least expecting it...However nothing of that sort in BV I guess...lol...

I feel too much focus was put on Anandi's bhaashan...they could have added a bit more to the scene to show Anandi's feelings no matter how subconscious but expressed a bit more...but then this is BV I guess...where an entire epi is taken up in people walking down the stairs...I shouldn't expect so much😆

Maybe tomorrow will bring something interesting...let's see.

Well I think Anandi clarified herself in the Mandir where Shiv asked her that if she wants to think about her decision to marry him.She clearly stated that she hasno feeling for Jagya in her heart so I dont think here Shiv took a right decision by calling off marriage.Atleast he should ask her once.I know Shiv was convinced because DS also wants to reunite JAAN but this is Anandi's life not DS's.So Shiv should ask Anandi

Oooh Anu FINALLY opened a thread on BV Forum. After the epi that we got today, itna toh banta tha boss. 😛

Anywhoo, wiser words have not been said. I completely agree.

I especially agree with the bit on how Anandi has NEVER met a person who can be as MAHAAN as her. LOL...it will take some time for her to get used to it. And agree- I was wondering how Shiv actually agrees to the Chapati Chors claim that Anandi has ALWAYS loved him. But I thought they did a pretty CONVINCING job of providing Shiv the impetus to call it off.

So yeah, Shiv DID falter- but hey, he was just being Mahaan. 😆 All the evidence he had so far- like you rightly pointed out Anu- the way 'time stood still' for her and her hesitation during the engagement when Jagyaji padharoes in the Haweli- thats evidence enough! I have not even watched that epi but I can imagine the thoughts going on in Shivs mind.

So some introspection on the part of Anandi IS needed. Though I loved her dialogues today- I like how we have been getting these epis in sequence- Thursday was Jagya centric I believe from what I read in the WU- Friday was Shivji centric ( I loved that epi btw) & today of course Anandi got to call the shots. But yeah, she needs to SEE where Shiv is coming from. Its not EASY for a guy to see his fiance giving a head massage to her ex in front of you.

And even though I agree that Anandi was becoming receptive to Shivs so called tortoise paced advances, it could all be done for a person who is your friend/ someone you respect- like Jagya told Shiv. Shiv needed to know that its not JUST respect but that she ACTUALLY wants to spend the rest of her life with him.

Anu: I see why this seemed like a damper of an episode to you. Do you know of the aage waali sequence? That Anandi throws Jagyas stuff in the nadi? 😆

I guess I think that this is NOT the end of the entire confrontation. There is more to it. And frankly speaking, I have NEVER seen Anandi kholo her mouth to such an extent- so whatever little I get I'll take it. And I am still waiting to see how Shiv- Anandis conversation transpires. *shrugs*

And that NBT scene! Kya yaad dila diya yaar Anu. I don't think the BV ke creatives are SO progressive that they will have Anandiji talk about Shivs confession in front of her Dadisa and Bapusa. Sigh.

She is a bright learner always. Let us hear their mutual acquittals tomorrow, she may well own her errors there. Meanwhile Today, firm steps out of the shadows. Also,a few 'first times'; a pointed finger at the 'puppeteer', an unprecedented slamming of the 'believer', and above all, an unambiguous retort to the one in delusions-lest he forgot that warning, " tumhe pane ka to apne bure se bure sapne me bhi nahi sochati !"
