Defending Barun...:)

Ok i wanted to write this from many days but never wrote it...but since the topic is being discussed again i want to write this...
Hope i dont break any rule...
I wanted this as a reply to Harshu's post but her post has crossed many pages and i wanted many people to read this so i have made a separate post...
Harshu i loved your post and request everyone to join this thread and give your thoughts...please dont take offence...

Starting from Barun's leave...
I dont think his leave affected the ratings anyway...the ratings had increased when he came back but PH could not maintain these ratings as the story has been destroyed by the PH and cv's ...
Before leaving Barun must have talked with PH...PH agreed and Barun signed..
I would like to think BS would not have signed had the PH disagreed...
Again his leave could have been handles in many different ways...only kidnapping was not the track..
Also Barun was available whenever required so track could have been handles differently..

His look ...
I agree he needs a haircut badly but i dont think it has anything to do with his interest in the role of ASR...
I think he likes to keep his hair long thats what he said in one of his interview...
So just because he is not getting a haircut it doesnt mean he is not interested in the role anymore..
SI had said in one of her interviews that Barun even ignores Pashmeen's request regarding his haircut..

His acting skills...
Again it is said post kidnapping his acting is not good...again i would like to disagree..
Remember his scenee when he feels Khushi is dead, during the mised SR, his scene when he finds out about garima,also the phase when he is trying to woo her...
There have been many instances when he has excelled..
Regarding ASR's aura well he is been turned to a cheesy SP pati so how can we experience his aura when the script itself is bad...

His PR skills...
This guy needs to improvee over here...i have often felt he is afraid of interviews and thats the reason he fails to convey his message properly...
His saying anyone can play ASR meant he is not special and i found it endearing and an down to earth reply..
It also meant story is the hero and his leave wont affect the show much..
He trusted PH bit they failed badly..
SI did say he gives very bad interviews...so he needs to hire a proper PR..

Wanting a career growth is never wrong and i support BS in it..
Yes his leave did affect the show but he is nowhere to be blamed for the low raitings ...as post GH track ratings have been low and same during kidnapping track..

I had written a long post on Harshu's thread...Yes coming to ur topic yes I think Barun is to be blamed here...As an actor yes he is entitled to look beyond and move for greener pasture...But as an viwer I feel deceieved with so much dragging kidnapping track that was done mostly to combat his absence.He was kidnapped twice.r u kidding???? Again the way he got kidnapped was very illogical.again I am not going by the logic of Indian shows as they r frm each other... But the track got executed somewhat well..but overstretching cause disintersest among not only the fans but also trp audience...

there is nothing to defend here. We were discussing who's decission affected the show the most in a strictly rating based manner. His professional integrity, acting prowess etc has nothing to do with that post.

If they didn't gave him leave... then he may walk out...At that juncture The chances of show survival with new lead is minimal as everyone well aware of Barun's popularity and his onscreen jodi with Sanaya... Infact the Usp of the show itself is their magical jodi effect...And on the other hand they can't simply end the show as there r many tracks waiting.like mu clearing, past track ,Shyam's revealation etc...So they can't help in bending to his demands...

Fact that is I am a fan of Barun and I very much like him both in onscreen and offscreen...But that doesn't mean I will become biased with my judgements... And television actors leaving their popular shows in mid way ( the shows which gave them so much recognition) for BW ventures... just can't tolerate it.... because I feel as a viewer I got cheated...

See as a actor he has rights to try for greener pastures..
If we get a promotion we wont just stay happy with our currrnt position..
I am nowhere blind to his faults..
Also he was bound to the show by a contract...PH had the advantages in their kitty but they did not use it..
