For example, Asad today said Numaiyish pashchim ki ada hai aur tehzeeb Purab ka gehna. Pashchim and Purab are Hindi words. In Urdu, it'll be Mashriq and Maghrib 😃.

Anyways, I guess what can be done is people can request 4 Lions to have subtitles for the episodes so everyone can enjoy. Because if you change it then it takes away the essence. Plus if KSG can learn Urdu for the show, we can too 😉

More than anything I completely agree with ur last sentence and totally love it .. :)😳😛

I prefer to be practical than leaving random posts here. If it will continue like this I will skip this show along with rest of my family members as this telecast at 10am and it is late. I am sure there are plenty of ppl who will find this not very appealing. How many ppl are going to come and ask clarification on IF forums. Why bother even watching as it is not spectacular show. Its nice but not worth finding meaning of words.

Lol I don't know you too well so I wouldn't know if you had the time for it or not 😆 And I respect your concern, if someone were to make me watch a total Hindi show with difficult sanskriti words, then I would have a ball of a time trying to understand it😆 Well, you have your views, but I guess its a good effort from the team of QH that they are attempting urdu. Even though someone pointed out the little mistakes here and there with Purab and Pashtim... ( Excuse my spelling) it's actually Maghrib and Mashrik. 😆

Urdu language has historical link with bhopal city.
And muslims of madhya pradesh largely urdu speaking.
May be thats why urdu used many times.
But i agree the non urdu speaking people like me find it difficult to understand what they are saying.
And urdu should not be tag as muslim language in india.
5.06% people speaks in urdu according to indian cencus 2001.
Muslims are 13.43% of india's population according to indian cencus 2001.
So only 37.7% indian muslim are speaking urdu.
If you are trying to projecting urdu as muslim language.
It will creat negative mindset among non urdu speaking indian muslim for urdu and urdu speaking people.
I can give you my state example.
I am living in west bengal state of india here muslims are 25.25% of state population according to indian cencus 2001.
Urdu speaking people are 2.02% of state population or 8% of state muslim population.
So when some urdu speaking people try to show urdu as muslim language it creat huge negative reaction among native bengali muslim of west bengal who are 23.23% of state population or 92% of state's muslim population for urdu language.
Urdu language is become deeply unpopular among bengali muslim of west bengal.
And result was quick.
A quick social divison.
In west bengal bengali muslim and urdu speaking muslim people live separately in different locality.
No maritial ties with each other.
No cultural exchange.
A mutual distrust grow.
So don't try to add religion with urdu language.
It will only create problem.
Urdu is a beautiful language like all other language.
Lets shine it on its own merite.

Urdu is a huge and common Islamic language in India! It's obvious they are going to use it. Plus, the story is set in Bhopal and as far as I know, Urdu is a common language there amongst muslims. I suggest you enjoy the show and if you have difficulty understanding, feel free to post and some of us who speak urdu can help you out. I for one am glad theres a proper show out there that speaks more urdu than hindi. I like the change. Saari life hindi sunte aayi hoon and I know lots of hindi now. If urdu words can be used in songs, why not in shows? The episodes do air in subtitles, at least in the US and I'm sure you can find uploads with subtitles too. If you need help, post in the forum!

AGREED! They are using a much simplified version of Urdu. They are keeping it minimal and mixing a bit of Hindi with it. The urdu we speak or our relatives speak is much much much more complex than whats being shown.

Too much Urdu?? really...

Its easy to understand... Its just hindi and punjabi mixed (basically). I think it gives the show a different flavour and you might actually learn something new from the show (alil bit of urdu maybe)
