Student Of The Year Has A Good Tuesday Wednesday 24th October 2012 11.00 IST |
Boxofficeindia.Com Trade Network Student Of The Year was good on Tuesday with collections in the same range as Monday as multiplexes were higher in the evening due to the holiday on the next day. The film has collected around 33.50 crore nett in five days and Wednesday could another 5-6 crore nett as it is a holiday. The film is holding much better on the weekdays than the weekend trending suggested possibly due to the holiday period. The collections on Thursday are likely to the litmus test for the film if collections hold strong on then the film is looking at a good strung run until Diwali. Student Of The Year will also benefit as the new release Chakravyuh has not opened well so the holiday advantage will mainly be reaped by Student of The Year. |
Student Of The Year Is Fantastic On Dussehra Holiday Thursday 25th October 2012 11.00 IST |
Boxofficeindia.Com Trade Network Student of The Year was fantastic on Dusshera holiday as it collected around 6.25 crore nett as per early estimates. The film showed a good jump all over with collections 40-50% higher from the previous day. The film will comfortably gross over 40 crore nett for week one as the collections in six days are nearly touching the 40 crore nett mark. The film has done fantastically well over the weekdays due to the holiday period with weekday collections likely to be in the 17 crore nett nett range while the weekend picked up 25 crore nett. There will be a drop in business today (Thursday) and this drop is likley to tell where the film is heading in the long term though Bakri Eid is still to come and that could also give it a boost. |
Student Of The Year Day Eight Business Saturday 27th October 2012 11.30 IST |
Boxofficeindia.Com Trade Network Student of The Year collected around 2 crore nett on its eighth day which is fair considering the numerous new releases. It collected more than the new releases. The drop is 70-75% from day one which is par for the course nowadays and the film should have a big jump on Saturday, a 50-60% jump is a norm and with Student Of The Year collections may even double due to Eid. It is possible for the film to come out with a 10 crore nett weekend which would be 60% less than the first weekend but it will depend on the Saturday jump. The eight day collections are around 43 crore nett and if it can get a 10 crore nett second weekend then it should go and do lifetime business close to 65 crore nett range. |
Student of The Year Heads For 13 Crore Second Week Monday 30th October 2012 10.30 IST
Boxofficeindia.Com Trade Network Student Of The Year will gross around 13 crore nett in its second week. The collections on Monday will be around the 1.50-1.75 crore nett region with North India recording similar collections to Friday. The film has reaped the benefit of holidays to the tune of 8 crore over the last ten days. In the East, the whole last week was a holiday and the collections of Student of The Year in West Bengal were higher than films like Rowdy Rathore, Housefull 2, Bol Bachchan and Cocktail.
It was 2012's fourth highest first week in West Bengal for Student Of The Year after Ek Tha Tiger, Agneepath and Barfi!. |
1920 Evil Returns Opens Well Student Of The Year Down In Week Two Saturday 3rd November 2012 09.00 IST
Boxofficeindia.Com Trade Network 1920 Evil Returns opened to a decent response with mass circuits having good collections. The film has low cost and the opening ensures its a safe film. Luv Shuv Te Chincken Khurana opened to a poor response though the DT theatres and some of the PVR theatres in and around Delhi put up good numbers. The film has better chances in the Delhi and Punjab area. Ajab Gazab Love collected a poor 6.50 crore nett in week one. DISASTER Chakravyuh collected around 15.50 crore nett over its first week which was a nine day week. The film is better in some pockets like UP and Bihar but overall collections are poor. FLOP
Rush collected a very poor 3.25 crore nett collections in week one. DISASTER Student Of the Year dropped in week two with collections around 13 crore nett. The film got advantage of Dussehra holidays in week one and week two which has enabled to the film to get a reasonable total but good business has only come in the Delhi area and West Bengal has also done well due to a good first week. The two week total is around 56 crore nett. SEMI HIT OMG! Oh God has around 81.50 crore nett in five weeks. SUPER HIT |
