TREE HUGGIES?

Well im writing this post as a mini form of protest at the presense, or lack of tree huggies..mona seems to be bashed in every single post which i think is just really sad-this is the JJKN forum-without mona there wud have been no jassi-her portrayal of jassi is what made the whole drama so endearing...

..I was watching a jjkn rerun 2day and found myself being even more impressed by monas fabulous talent-even AA seemed rather secondary compared to her😲...

..People are seemingly comparing mona with the likes of ash and rani😕=which in itself is just baffling-how can u even compare them-they are as ive put in another post-from two completely different telly mediums-so plz ppl if u want to compare mona with anyone compare her with shweta,amna,smriti,gauri etc🤢-maybe then ull see that she is in a league of her own😛..

..anyway thats my rant over-plz dnt be offended-its all aprt of the tree huggie duty😉..

I've done quite a lot of Mona-defending in my time but i'm just sick to death now of defending her against people who have nothing positive to say about anyone, and are just looking for an excuse to bash her.

I honestly think that because the Mods have come down rather heavily upon Shilpa-bashing, the bashers need new scapegoats and so they zero in on Apu and Mona.

The reaction to my first Positivity Challenge thread shows this: Members who have got into the habit of carping criticism are unable to say anything positive at all even when everyone else is at least trying!

As for the tree-huggies, they are still active. But like me,i think they are just sheer exhausted. No point, anyway.....Mona's talents aren't being diminished anytime soon by a few attacking posts. Her true fans still love her. Those who change their minds for frivolous reasons.....hmm sorry but they were never true tree-huggies to begin with. 😕

Hey aishah ,I totally understand your feelings.Its ok .LOOK all those genuine fans who have watched JJKN will def appreciate What MS brought to the show and her brilliant peformance.Today as i watched the re-run,I was again able to appreciate her talent .

Its not necessary that all b'wood stars are brilliant actors nor is it necessary that all tv stars are bad actors.Infact some actors in TV are much much better than some b'wood stars who dont have anything except a good figure and star arrogance .

As for the ones basing them,just ignore them ,as i have mentioned everyone will learn when they grow up and with time so just ignore their childishness.

when u age and when some of these peoples weight increases (which is pretty much for everyone) ,then they will understand that they dont become ugly or some person to be teased ,they are still beautiful and elegant and dignified and it can be in any field that they enter into .If they have dreams and ambition and determined to achieve their goals ,thats what matters and not weight loss or weight gain.

Take for example konkana sen,she is on the plump side but she has proved herself with her brilliant acting .
Nandita das : a dark skineed girl ,but her acting was the one that excelled and today she is very highly ranked actress .

One can always look at good examples instead of just looking at degrading and insulting other people and thats what I have learnt till now.They will learn too as they grow up to be a matured woman .Till them let them live in their fool's paradise

I'm with you Aishah. There's been too much bashing going on. I used to do it a bit too, but then I stopped cuz I realised that it's pointless and no one's listening (sad, but true). I also stopped defending Mona, even though I support her, because there were repetitive posts down-sizing her and other stars almost every day. Reading stuff like that and defending the actors, as I had mentioned earlier on, is pointless cuz at the end of the day, everyone has their own opinion and will voice it whether some of us agree with them or not. It's not going to make a difference to me cuz I know that I don't necessarily agree with them, but I'm not going to make a big deal out of it and start arguing over nothing.

I think Tina is right. Its best to let them do what they do. There is much more to life than being pencil thin and having fair skin. We have to ignore the unwanted things.

Mona Singh bashing is one of them. I was surprised seeing the polls about her laugh and smile etc.

Whatever said and done MS still is a class apart than her peers.... That's why she is so widely discussed and debated.

mona is great no matter what i mean she did a great job in jjkn and i dont think no one can beat that soo what ever people say about her doesnt make a difference because shes a great actor and thats all that counts!

As for your post, what can I say😡...Like Blyton said it came to a point where this is just plain annoying and pure exhausting...Even the mods got tired of repeating and just left...I stopped being regular here due to the anomosity of this section but whenever I do stop by, the place is filled with hatred threads...You can ignore few but some things like salsa dancers has to be 36-24-36 are just way too ridiculous to even begin with. And the worst one is when someone is badly being criticised due to their physical traits...This is just not right, especially since many of us are fond of different celebs and reading from how the whole calling certain someone "fake" was taken, it seems like that they do have ideas as to how it feels when their celebs are being criticised.

Anywhos, no point wasting my typing skill...for me, Mona is and always will be the best👍🏼

Well,for starters,I didnt compare Mona to Rani out of the blue..I compared their claim to fame,which hapens to be somewhat the same..Certain people,in order to prove that Mona is better,dragged ash into the discussion,and maligned her....Ash and Rani are in a totally different league....they are far more popular,far more successful,far more liked,and far more in demand 😛
But,Mona harbours bollywood dreams..so ,in certain ways there's nothing wrong in comparing her with the actresses there.... ..Afterall,she's now not competing with the shwethas and the smrithis......she's a bollywood wannabe right,so would be compared with peeople there 😛 ...

sorry if I sound rude,but the truth is that,you cannot single us(meaning sheen,prattz and me) as "bashers"...If you have forgotton,may I remind you that It wasnt us who made such a big issue out of the "Manda mystery",and it wasnt we alone who scapegoated ss and bashed her for her "insecurity and for barging into JJKN"...yeah,we did revolt a bit,but it wasnt us who made repeated posts to TnD,Apu and others saying that SS should not be allowed..Yeah,I might have joined in,but it wasnt solely me..So,if We can be called all names,its just fair that the others who have bashed,and continue to make digs at certain actors also need to be called those very colourful and pleasant names...fair,isnt it 😛 ..and honestly tell me,Is mona bashed as much as SS was??I'm afraid NOT!...SS was called all sorts of names(I'm very much guilty here,and every Mona fan had absolutely no problems then.)

Agreed,so why is everyone so obsessed with Bollywood😛..Its just a place meant for undeserving star kids and fake supermodels right...Then why does mona want to join bollywood,if its so crappy.....Tellywood is the hub of talent,good looks,money, etc right...It cant get better than telly..then why is every darn telly actor so obsessed with bollywood.... 😛 ...and those who dont make it say"oh,its not worth it..too much pressure etcetera"...case of sour grapes" 😛 ..If its so not worth it,why does everyone,from Mona,to shvetha salve to Rajeev Khandelwal to Arjun Punj want bollywood😛

have I ever said that one HAS to be thin to look beautiful...Find a thread where I have said that,I'll eat my hat then..Infact,I did have a discussion with a member at DM who called Priyanka Chopra ethereally beautiful....I genuinely feel that she's plain mediocre looking,but she has a body to die for,a fact that cant be refuted....There was a thread,about whether good looks gives an edge,and I had said that barring the entertainment field(and evern there more importance is given to glamour and the figure) ,its not necessary to be beautiful or thin or fair skinned

To be in Bollywood,as a lead actress,one has to be thin..they dont even have to look beautiful,but they have to be thin(shilpa shetty,priyanka chopra,etc..the thin but not so good looking girls)......That's a requisite..Is it right,Perhaps NO....Can it be helped....I'm afraid NOT....

The tree huggies dont produce movies..the people who do that want thin petite girls,they dont need plump oversized girls...Dreams ,goals yada yada etc are the ONLY factor that helps people in certain enterprises like the corporate world and in the student life..whereas in Bollywood,Looks,figure,personality do matter...Mona,sadly,cant just harbour "dreams and ambition" to get where she wants..she has been talking about her being uber ambitious for such a long time,kya kuch hua....nahin....Honestly speaking,what is so outstanding in mona that top producers wuld want to sign her😕...She isnt as beautiful or as thin and tall as certain supermodels (Deepika Padukone..the 20 year old who's starring in SRK's next),she isnt that great an actress,and in today's day,any actress can be made to deliver powerhouse performances,provided they get a good director...So wouldnt an able director want to make a Ash act,rather than making a Mona singh act 😛

Well,ash was maligned...Was mona called any names😕...I'm sure none of us had resorted to name calling...."mona badmouthed her own show" ..that's a fact,not any random opinion....so you see,None of Mona detractors had called her any names,whereas some had dragged ash into a discussion just to prove that Mona is better,which didnt really sit well with some Ash fans

My two cents..Mona wasnt unreasonably bashed,neither was anything untrue said about her..Certain facts were reiterated,and I dont see how that can be called bashing..No one called Mona any names(like how ash was called fake),no one took the fact away that she did JJKn,and was pretty successful to some extent..but when it comes to ber dancing,I'm afraid she wasnt all that great,neither was Mahesh manjrekar all that great that these two got the second and third positions respectively 🤢 ...Infact Pooja bedi looked more graceful than Mona.....Commenting on certain things like "mona's weight in a promo",or mona" dance in a programme" or her "perkiness" wouldnt surely be definied as bashing in my lexicon.....and saying that Mona's not good enough for bollywood too cant be clled "plain bashing".....Mona has contradictd herself various times,and thus when she now says"oh,i loved playing jassi blah blah",its but obvious that some feel that she's yet again contradicting herself..Now,how can that be bashing 😃

probably this is the only time i will talk about this though my disgust for any 'bashing' threads is already known.

it is difficult to generate pages after pages of reason like you do to support every mood you happen to be in at that moment... whether you admire someone or do you cannot stand them...

its is not about bragging as in case of mona, it is not about screeching and clinging as in case of ss, it is not about dressing sense or body weight as in the case of rakshanda... maybe you have reason about all that.

it is about the negative energy that you generate on this forum which does not go down well with people who generally peace loving and are willing to overlook small flaws which exist in everybody... including me and you.

so my heartfelt request to you.... please continue your bashing and criticising within your clique. if thqat is your common factor then nobody should rob you that pleasure. only that you don't have to do it publicly because on this forum most of us reject it. yes it is a public space where all of us have the right to voice our feelings but on this forum we also have the duty to tone down the negative vibes and respect the feelings of others.

as i have already mentioned - any... totally any form of bashing (aka criticising any actor) is not allowed or justified on IF and this is not a new rule.

As mentioned mannyyyyyyyy times previously IF was built to discuss characters in different serials and a tad bit of the actor's themselves probably. It was not made as a medium to carry out criticisms against actors.
