My Box Office Predictions for Chakravyuh

The film is being directed by the much-acclaimed director Prakash Jha. His films like GANGAAJAL and APAHARAN received appreciation, and he really hit his peak with one of the biggest Hits of 2010, RAJNEETI.

By looking at the promos, I feel that CHAKRUVYUH is a film that will be appreciated by the audience. As a matter of fact, I think that this type of film has a chance of being universally-appreciated, rather than being appreciated by only a section of the audience. Also, not only does the director have a smart mind, but also, Abhay Deol has starred in a lot of well-praised films, including one of the Super Hits of 2011, ZINDAGI NA MILEGI DOBARA. Moreso, Arjun Rampal has also been in several successful films (OM SHANTI OM, ROCK ON, HOUSEFULL, etc) and I think he also knows what the audience wants.

Opening Wise, the film will start on an average note. The film is releasing on a holiday, but there isn't too much hype for the film, and STUDENT OF THE YEAR (which is likely to maintain well on weekdays) may record strong collections on Wednesday, thus possibly affecting CHAKRUVYUH. However, Word of Mouth should help CHAKRUVYUH in the long run and make it a success.
