Chapter 24
The meeting went quite nice. Sonam had a plan and she discussed it with Arnav. She promised herself that she will make her sister's life full of happiness. She had planned everything and she asked Arnav to b in contact.
Arnav: Definitely Princess. Hum roz discuss krenge n we'll make sure that everything goes according to the plan.
Sonam: Thats for sure. Bs mujhe call krte rehna n let me know her reactions.
Arnav: What do u mean?? Tum toh khud hi dekh sakti ho uske reactions. U stay together.
Sonam: M going to Mumbai for a show. A concert is held there. I can't postpone it.
Arnav: When??
Sonam: In 10 days.
Arnav: What!! Why didn't u tell me?? Kahin nahi ja rahi ho tum. U r still not well. I won't allow u to exert urself so much.
Sonam: Chill jiju. M fine. Mera jana zaruri hai. Sb taiyyariyan ho gai hain. We can't cancel it now. Ye concert 3 months advance mein plan hua tha. Saare passes b sale ho chuke hain. I can't disappoint my audience. Afteral their love n support makes me who i am today.
Arnav (sternly): But still. I can't let u leave alone. Rohan b ja raha hai??
Sonam (sheepishly): Wo Rohan bhai ko kaam hai yahan. He is busy in a deal here. He won't b coming.
Arnav (sternly): Then even u r not going. That's final.
Sonam (annoyed): Please jiju. I really don't want to argue with u. Lekin mere professional decisions mein kisi ka b interfere krna mujhe bilkul b pasand nahi hai. Or achha hoga aap b ye yaad rakhein.
Sonam was deep breathing to control her temper. She didn't want to b rude but Arnav's dictatotship regarding her going to Mumbai just made her mad and so she reacted that way. Arnav was surprised to see Sonam's reaction. He was not expecting such an outburst.
Sonam (after controlling her anger) (guiltily): M sorry jiju. Its just k mujhe aadat nahi hai. Maine hamesha se apne decisions khud liye hain. Or mujhe gussa aa jata hai agar koi mujhpe apne decisions enforce krta hai. M really sorry.
Arnav: Its ok Princess. Even m sorry. Mujhe b aise nahi bolna chahiye tha. I mean AR k liye konsa project lena chahiye or konsa nahi ye mujhe koi or instruct krega toh mujhe b gussa aa jaega. I understand. Its just that i don't want u to b alone. U r not fully well. I want u to take someone along.
Sonam: Fine!! I'll think about it. Happy now??
Arnav: Very!! Anyways i'll leave now. Keep in touch. N keep me updated about u.
Sonam: Sure. Take care jiju. I'll see u soon again.
Arnav: Yeah sure.
Rohan's Cabin
Arjun, Payal, Rohan, Lavanya & Anjali were sitting together planning about the venues for different functions of the wedding when Sonam entered.
Sonam: Hey everyone!! Wassup??
Payal: Aao na Chhutki. Hum sb sare functions k liye venue n decorations discuss kr rahe hain. Tum b dekho na.
Sonam: M sure u guys can handle it jiji. Mujhe aapse kuch zaruri baat krni thi bhai.
Arjun & Rohan could easily judge that she will ask for something which they r likely to deny. Even before she said anything,
Rohan: Don't even think about it.
Sonam: Lekin maine toh abi kuch kaha b nahi.
Rohan: Kehna b mt. U know my answer is NO.
Sonam: Lekin bahi...
Arjun: I agree with Rohan. Tum socho b mt uss baare mein.
Sonam (pouting): That's not fair. Mujhe koi bolne b nahi deta.
Payal: Kya baat hai Bhai?? Usse bolne toh do.
Lavanya: Rehne do Payal. Ye dono Princess k expressions dekh k hi samajh jate hain agar demand aisi ho jo nahi maani jani chahiye.
Payal: Lekin fir b ek baar sun toh lo.
Anjali: Bolo na Sonam. Agar maan-ne wali hui toh maan b jaenge. Don't worry.
Sonam (not looking at Arjun and Rohan): Wo bhai... Wo Mumbai wali concert...
Rohan: What the hell!! Maine usse cancel krne ko kaha tha na. Wo on kyu hai abi tk?? Mai abi Sriti ko puchta hu.
Sonam: Usse maine hi mana kia tha cancel krne se. Mai wo concert krna chahti hu bhai. Please.
Arjun: Lekin Princess wahan tum akeli kaise ja sakti ho?? We can't allow u.
Sonam: Please bhai. It is a very big ocassion for me. Ye meri India mein pehli live concert hai. I want to do it. Please bhai. Pretty please...
Rohan: I can't let u go alone Princess. Rishi b busy hai Sapna ki shaadi ki wajah se. Hum sb b apne apne projects mein busy hain. Dad is also out of country. I can't let u go alone. Sorry. But no other option.
Sonam: Lekin bhai...
Anjali: Agar Sonam ko aitraaz nahi ho toh i can go with her.
Arjun: What??
Anjali: Main free hu n isse aap sb apna kaam b araam se kr skte ho n Sonam ko concert cancel krne ki zarurat b nahi padegi.
Rohan: Fine. Lekin fir Sriti or Harshad b jaenge tumhare saath.
Sonam (smiling happily): Thank u bhai. (hugging Rohan) U r the best. (To Anjali) Thank u.
Anjali just smiled. She was happy that she will get to spend some time with Sonam. She wanted to start a new relation with this cute little girl. She wanted to see Sonam getting comfortable with her too as she is with all others. Anjali had noticed some changes in Sonam's relationship with Arnav and she too wanted to b a part of her loved ones.
Arjun: Ek shart hai meri.
Now Sonam was confused.
Sonam: Shart??
Arjun: U won't b staying in some god damned hotel. Mere ghar pe rahoge tum log. Agar maante ho toh theek hai nahi toh bhool jao.
Sonam: Fine bhai. I accept.
Arjun: I'll ask the housekeeper to get everything ready for u guys. (holding Sonam's hand) Take care of urself sweetheart. Stay away from trouble.
Sonam (hugging Arjun): I love u bhai.
Mehta Mansion

Dinner Time
Sonam (to Khushi): Dii mujhe aapse kuch baat krni thi.
Khushi was annoyed as no body asked her before allowing Sonam to go to Mumbai. Moreover, Sonam was not ready to take her along as well.
Khushi: Tum toh humse koi baat na hi karo. Bohat badi ho gai hai. Khud faisla kr lia k Mumbai jaegi. Humse puchne ki b zarurat nahi samjhi. Hum hote hi koun hain!! Fir kehti hai k hum saath na jae. (fuming)
Sonam (hiding a smile): Dii aapko na le jane ki wajah hai. Aapse bohat zaruri kaam hai mujhe.
Khushi: Kaisa kaam??
Sonam: Hum sbme se sirf aapke paas fashion industry mein kaam krne ka experience hai. N u know ASR ka traditional cheezon mein kaisa taste hai. I can't rely on his chioce. Bhai or bhabi k outfits ka contract maine AR ko dia hai. N i want u to join them so that the result is according to our requirements.
Khushi was shocked. Here she was trying to avoid being close to Arnav and Sonam is asking her to go back there??
Khushi: Lekin ye kaam toh Lavanya ji b kr skti hain. Unki khud ki shaadi hai aakhir.
Sonam: Haan lekin bhabi ko apne khud k projects b dekhne hain. No one is free. Sbke projects in progress hain. I can't assign this one to someone else. Or aapki opinion pe mujhe pura bharosa hai. Agar aap nahi krna chahti toh its ok. I'll think of something else.
Khushi wanted to say NO but seeing Sonam's dejected face she could not muster enough courage to refuse. So she agreed to work with Arnav over the wedding outfits.
Sonam (happily): That's great. Fir main ASR ko inform kr deti hu k aap unhe kal se join kr rahi ho. He'll arrange the rest of the things.
Khushi: Matlab??
Sonam: For the project Dii. Aap akele thodi karoge. There has to b a team for handling the whole work. Humne kuch designs select kiye hain aaj. U'll b handling the rest of it. Ok??
Khushi just nodded. She was trying to prepare herself to face Arnav again. It should have been easy as they were friends now but she was not sure if it is just friendship or something else. She didn't want to even think about love now as she was convinced that love will bring only pain.
Sonam (mentally to herself): First step complete!! Pari Dii in AR. Let the games begin. Kb tak bhagogi Dii?? We'll get u soon. 😛 😉 😈
