Geet nodded and ran upstairs. Rano called Dadima and told her the good news. Dadima's happiness knew no bounds. She thought it is the right time to tell Maan. She entered his room with a huge smile plastered on her face.

"Dadima, You look happy today, Kya baat hai?"

"Maan, I have found a perfect girl for you and your engagement with her is on next week."

"Dadima, Aap pagal ho chuki hai kya? I am not ready for the marriage."

"Maan, You had promised your dad before he left this world that you will always listen to me."

'There we go again, Emotional blackmail' Maan murmured to himself.

"Fine Dadima, I am ready. Who is the girl? Sameera?"

"NO, Never. It's Geet."

"That behenji."

"Dadima, I can't marry her, She isn't my type."

Geet felt like crying when she heard Maan calling Sam as honey and they making fun of her.

She kissed Maan on his cheek and walked away but not before smirking at Geet. Geet decided to say something about it.

"Listen, if you want to marry me you should know that this is MY lifestyle and Sam can do whatever she wants. She is my sweetheart, Get it."

Having said that Maan walked away, leaving a tearful Geet behind.

It was break time. Maan and Sam where sitting together (Well actually Sam was sitting on Maan's lap). Geet felt like crying her eye balls out. She walked over to them.

"Sam, Can I HAVE Maan for a minute, All alone."

"Listen behenji, Maan is not at all interested in you, So leave."

She said with pain evident in her voice. Maan made Sam stand up from his lap.

"Maan, Are you going with this behenji?"

Maan and Geet walked a bit till they were alone.

"Maan why are you acting like this" "Maan if you don't want to get married than simply tell Dadima, Why are you treating me like this."

"Because, Dadima will start her emotional blackmail all over again."

"So, Maan why can't we make the best of it, I love you Maan."

Maan laughed.

"Geet you shouldn't watch dreams with open eyes."

Maan laughed it off and walked towards Sam but Geet was determined. After having a horrible UNI day, She went straight to her room. She needed to do some arrangement so as to show Maan how much she loves him. After she was done, She told her parents and Dadima about her plan. While Dadima was delighted Mohinder didn't like it.

"Geet but what's the need?" "Aunty, I didn't know Maan was like that, I have to re-think about getting my daughter married off to your grandson."

Before Dadima could react, Geet interfered.

"No dad please, I love him."

"But Geet-"

Before Mohinder could continue, Rano interrupted him.

"Mohinder please trust Geet, let her atleast try."

Dadima too speak up.

With the knock on her door Geet came out of her thoughts. She looked at the time. It was already morning. She stood up to open the door. Mohinder scanned Geet.

"You haven't slept the whole night again. Have you?" "Geet beta what have you done to yourself, You have changed completely. Why do you love him so much?"

"I hate him dad ,I simply hate him."

"Phir yeh sab kyun?"

"Toh kya karu dad? Are you forgetting, I am married to him?"

Mohinder sighed.

"Kaun si shaadi Geet aur kaise shaadi?" "Beta, I don't think Maan remembers that marriage, So it's better you too forget it."

"How dad? What about all our relatives in HP?" "They remember and not to forget dad, Next week we have to give a reception as promised. Dadima has already started the arrangements."

"We can still break this so called marriage."

Mohinder sighed and walked away feeling he lost his little girl forever. Geet closed the door and walked towards the window. She smiled thinking how Maan hugged stating he loved her. Love, does he even now the meaning of it? How stupid she used to be that she thought that she can make a monster change. Maan says he loves me but he doesn't remember that I am his wife.

Past

Maan wasn't listening to anyone. All he knew is that he and Sameera are going to London next week. Dadima was getting all tensed up. What if he would come back from London and decide that he didn't want to marry Geet rather Sam? What would she do then? She called up the Handa's. Rano and Dadima's decided to marry Maneet off soon. It was just a contract marriage. They had promised all the relatives that once Maan would be back they would throw a grand reception.
