As Brij entered KH his aura filled the place, Pammi welcomed him with an extra large smile and a super sugar coated voice, "Namaste Brij ji, I am glad you visited our humble cottage", Brij gave her a straight look and asked, "I am here to see Savitri Devi and Khurana heirs", she smiled though inside her mind she fumed listening to the heir word, she guided him to the sitting room.

Savitri sat on the sofa, she looked elegant, Brij for the first time noticed how weak she was, her hands wore roughness due to hard work, he cursed himself for not paying attention to those sad fearful eyes. He had previously met her always with a table between them, he leaned to touch her feet, she curled her toes as he noticed the scars they had due to walking with unprotected feet. His blood boiled, but he controlled his urge to hit the evil four.

He sat beside the old lady and held her hand in his and slowly unconciously smootened the wrinkles on them, her eyes were filled, it has been long since anyone other than Maan had shown this care and love.

As the tea was served, NT and Kamya made an entry, Brij almost spat the water he was drinking, seeing the two woman dressed so gaudily. NT gave him a inviting smile, and said, "hi, Brij" Brij wanted to bang his head fully understanding their intention, he also assumed the other woman in that bright dress to be Kamya but he said, "hello NT ji, how are you? You look nice" NT was on cloud 7, he added, " are you going somewhere? Even your maid is heavily dressesed" Kamya was horrified by the insult but she managed to say, " I am Kamya, Dev's real siste" Brij gave her a shocked look, "I am sorry" she smiled, he added, "I did not mean that, I did not recognise you". She sat beside him, resting her palm on his thigh, he felt as if hundreds of ants moved on that part, his instant reaction was to jerk free but he controlled, she said cheekily, "never mind, BTW how are you?"

Dev did not like all this; on one hand his own wife and on the other hand his sister and above them his mother; but what can he do. He went forward and gave a stern look to Kamya, who in turn frowned back, he grabbed her arm and said, 'why dont you sit there Kamya' she squinted her eyes, 'why?' he gave her a dismissing smile, 'because I need to discuss something with Brij ji' before she could argue more, Brij rose, 'yes Dev I too wanted to talk to you' both men (though considering Dev a man is an insult, still) moved to the other corner of the room.

Brij said, 'so where is Maan?' before Dev could reply Nakul interrupted, he had come in with refreshments, 'he is been missing' Dev was shocked, Brij smiled inwardly but said, 'missing??' Nakul steadied the tray he was carrying, 'yes, either he ran away or he drowned' Pammi was all white with fear, NT came forward, 'Nakul you again watched fear files last night, now keep this tray there and go bring in some beverages' Nakul nodded, 'but I never watch fear files, though I love watching sh sh koi hain'

Brij wanted to split laughing he managed to say, 'you both are confusing me, I just asked where is Maan and you started discussing TV serials' Dev sighed in relief and said, 'Maan is not here, he is in Chandigarh' Nakul interrupted, "when did he go there, only in the morning ..." Kamya by now have come near Nakul and she collided with him making the tray fall down, this spitter spatter subsided the on going conversation.

Nakul was send to fetch refreshments and tea again after cleaning. NT and Kamya started talking non sense, Dev and Pammi did not stop them as they were afraid that if given a chance Brij will again ask about Maan.

After the refreshments were over, Brij rose to leave, he could clearly see the relief on their faces, but the pale look of Savitri was also noticed by him. As Brij moved towards the enterance his mobile rang, this was Geet,

G: hi veer

B: so

G: we had a flat tyre

B: hmm

G: what hmm, are you not worried

B: you must have managed

G: yes I have

B: is he ok

G: in starting he was a bit confused, but now he seems ok

B: good, I'll be also leaving in an hour from here

G: ok

B: bye and...

G: I know, we all will reach safely and get things settled there

B: proud of you

G: me too, bye

After the call was over Brij turned towards them and said

B: Savitri ji is coming with me

Dev: why?

B: as Annie and Maan are not here, she could take a break and enjoy the free time, infact my Daadi will be pleased to meet her.
