yup, the tweets are coming in and coming in fast. its all about english vinglish over barfi for oscars.

the reviews of eng vinglish are better than barfi, not only at home, but in videsh too.

they screwed up big time.

I haven't seen the movie. But from all the reviews it seems like a better choice for Oscars. Also cuz it deals with Indian culture and it's struggle in the foreign land. But then again, I don't know if it fits the criteria. Burfi was definitely a good movie, but the controversy around plagiarism puts it down for me. Hope there isn't any plagiarism with English Vinglish.

Gosh!! Can people stop cawing about this already? Barfi has already been selected and nothing else can be done, accept it. Why is it sooo important?

Anyways as per the rule the film need to be first released in the country submitting it no earlier than October 1, 2011, and no later than September 30, 2012. So English Vinglish doesn't qualifies it.
