MILAN- The Final Destination
PART- 68
Some of you were confused with the health problem Geet is suffering from. I had already mentioned in I think part 66 or 67 that she is a patient of Melancholic Depression. It's a kind of depression where u don't get sleep n also have mood swings. Also there is morning sickness so medication is necessary.
Geet looked at the little girl in front of her, hands on her hips n a stern expression on the small face which was rather cute but she didn't dare show the adoration for the fear of igniting Jia's fury further.
What happened Jia? Geet asked faking fear. Did I do something wrong? Why these tough looks?
Jia after her two attempts climbed the sofa n sat beside Geet with huff. You said we would do Jia-Mommy stuff.
Geet couldn't stop herself seeing a flick of Maan in Jia at that time but it didn't stop the pang of guilt she felt. The day before she had returned from her said trip n then she was tired. It was only yesterday when Rajendra had come to visit that she felt a bit better now.
Yes, I am sorry Jia. She said regretfully; she was not fulfilling her duty as mother. Anyways, she plastered a smile on her face for the sake of the expectant girl. Tell me from where we should start.
Hmm... Jia thoughtfully tapped a finger on her chin. I know... Stopping. She shouted jumping up n down making the sofa bounce with her.
Geet was not that pleased with the idea. She rarely went out, then shopping with people all around... it gave her creeps.
Jia we can do something else. Geet suggested.
You don't like stopping. Jia asked with furrowed brows n trembling lips. Maan was also not very fond of shopping n now her mommy was the same made Jia sad.
Seeing Jia's face Geet couldn't have declined the offer, besides she had to purchase her meds also.
Of course I like it. There was a time when she would have killed to go for shopping. The smell of new cloths, the thrill she felt while purchasing a new pair of sandals, it was exquisite. Not anymore, she no more felt that thrill, that happiness in anything. Let's inform Dadimaa that we are going.
Geet changed her cloths then dressed Jia. When they again descended the stairs, Dadimaa was leaving for somewhere.
Geet I am going out of the city n will return tomorrow morning or may be afternoon. Dadimaa informed, noticing that Geet n Jia were also leaving for somewhere. Are you planning for somewhere?
Yes. Geet stated hesitantly.
Jia n Jia's mommy going stopping. Jia chirruped loudly, dripping with enthusiasm.
Waah! Yeh to bahut acchi baat hai. Dadimaa said merrily but remembering about Maan she warned Geet. Maan ka koi project hai military residential apartments se related. There is some political dispute with it n security ka kuch problem hai. Wo mana karte hai public palaces pe jane ke liye like malls but hum aur Annie chale jaate hai chupke se. Dadimaa winked. Par aap do guards saath le jaiyega.
Geet nodded while Jia shifted her weight from one foot to another not aware of the word patience.
Nan aap kitni baat kalti ho. Can we gooo... She said making a baby face.
Haan haan jayiye... Dadimaa said with a smile.
Bhaiya please yahan rukiye. She told the driver.
Par Madam abhi mall dur hai.
I know, mujhe yahan kuch kaam hai. She got down from the car n went into the ATM. Swapping the card into the machine she withdrew money from her saving accounts more accurately her parents accounts which they had left on her name.
There was a medical store beside the ATM, from where she got her life saving medicines. Done with her work Geet sat back in the car for her next destination, mall.
Jia's stopping was nearly done. They had brought fancy cloths n toys for Jia, ate at pizza hut n Geet admitted she enjoyed her time despite of the many people around. Jia didn't leave Geet any time to think about any other matter, pulling her from one store to another asking for almost everything n anything that caught her interest.
Mommy lets go there. Jia pointed towards ladies cosmetic store.
It's not for you Jia, you are small.
I am not. Jia said confidently. Daddy says I am a big girl.
Big girl. Huh?
Yesh. Geet shook her head with a smile n went inside the cosmetic store. Finally with some strawberry soaps, shampoos, a body wash, one fairness cream n a perfume whose smell had wooed Jia, they made it out of the shopping complex. While coming back, Geet stopped at the jewellery shop where she had mortgaged her earring, to get it back.
It was already evening by the time Geet n Jia returned to the Mansion. The sun was about to set n when Geet entered the main hall to her horror Maan was standing there as if waiting for them only. A wave of fear ran through but why was she afraid anyway, it was not like she did something wrong. May be it was the way Maan was standing with hands crossed across his chest or it may be the way he was staring at her with clear fury in eyes or it could be the hard expressions of his face.
Where were you? He asked n at the same time the driver came from behind with the shopping bags in hand. Sensing something wrong he kept the bags on floor n left quietly.
Daddy you know mommy n I went to stopping. Jia ran to Maan when Geet placed her on the ground. We brought...
Jia, Go to your room I will be there in a minute.
Pal Daddy...
Jia I am coming. Maan repeated.
Jia pouted her lips. Otey but come fast haan, I have to show you everything. Jia left for her room leaving Geet on Maan's mercy.
I am asking, where were you? Maan had already heard from Jia that they had gone for shopping n the numerous bags were the proof, but he wanted to hear from Geet. He had returned from office early not to find Jia missing. His Sunday was not free so he wanted to take Jia to aquarium today. When there was no sign of Jia in the Mansion he had got worried but then Nakul told him about her going to shopping with Geet which was even bigger worry.
Hum wo shopping. Geet said not realising she was moving back when Maan started approaching her.
He stopped where the driver had left the bags. Picking up one of the bags he peered into it, unfortunately it was the bag that had the items from the cosmetic store. He gritted his teeth in anger; she had gone to mall risking Jia security only to increase her collection of lipstick n mascara.
Didn't someone tell you that there are security issues? Maan asked, his head bent down hiding the burning eyes from view but Geet knew he was angry if the clenched fist n threatening tone was something to go by.
Haan Dadimaa ne bataya...
He didn't let her complete n grabbed her by the upper arms. Then why did you go?
Jia...
Don't you dare blame her. Maan roared bringing her closer. His nails dug into her skin n breath touched her face with his each word. She desperately tried to move back but he denied the privilege.
Please. She begged but her plea fell on deaf ears. Her attempts just infuriated him more, every time he came close she stepped back as if he didn't deserve the goddess's grace. Not like he wanted her beside him but her with drawl which he misunderstood of something akin to rejection made him mad. Today he got the chance to throw it all out.
Isn't the previous damage enough for you that now you are behind Jia? Geet was not listening instead she wanted to go to her room she had to take her medicine that were so calmly waiting in purse for her to consume them. She wanted the peace, the loneliness that her room provided.
Don't you again come near Jia. Maan shook her to make sure she was listening to his each n every word. Snaking his arm he pinned her to him allowing not much scope for movement.
Now it was too much, the pain, the insult, the proximity. Geet kept her hands on his chest n he remarked she felt good pulled flush against him, not giving any more chance to the heart to play more tricks, he jerked her away n Geet somehow managed not ending up on the floor.
Stay away from Jia. Maan warned raising a finger. She has no connection with you.
Maan left n Geet started for her room, restraining the tears. Once behind the closed doors she would cry to her heart's content.
Precap- The Nightmare
This part was harsh I know. But the next part will bring you some relief... I am telling this because I don't want more gaalis n chappals😛

My likes were the same in number though comments were less. You all ask me to update faster... But you can clap with one hand. If you are not commenting enough n expect me to update the very next day then its certainly not fair to me. Is it? What I am asking is not an essay or something just a few words of whether u liked the part or not. I don't think it's much on my part. If u'll do it fast, I will update the very moment... If you do it slow, well.. I will get some rest then.
