SP: Tips to prepare for a wedding (Sandhya)

Jeevika - Clothes

I know Mannu's choice well and I know she prefers to wear simple clothes which are not heavy. However I have told Mannu that clothes for a wedding should have bright colours and tend be a little heavy. Swamini bua has got many beautiful outfits designed for her and an important thing is to decide in advance which outfit to wear for which occasion, so that there are no last minute hassles.

Akshara - Jewellery

Very often the bride is made to wear heavy jewellery and this can make her very uncomfortable on her wedding day. So make sure that you decide what jewellery goes best with your outfit and if you are comfortable in it beforehand. If you are using ancestral jewellery, make sure you polish it before using it. Check all the hooks and if precious stones are intact on your jewellery sets.

Khushi - Beauty treatments

At least a week in advance, get all your beauty treatments done at a good salon. Facials, relaxing massages, spa treatments, waxing etc should be done in advance as this will make the bride feel relaxed and ready for the big day. Also ensure that you have someone to do your make-up and hair on your wedding day.

Sandhya - Delegate work

Do not try to do all the work yourself. Take help from your family members and friends. Delegate specific tasks to people and make sure to check with them on the progress of it. Take advice from others but don't try to incorporate everyone's suggestions. While deciding the venue, catering, decorations etc, always consider a few options before finalising on one.
