She played the lead in Balaji's first MTV show, Kitni Mast Hai Zindagi. As the chirpy Ananya, Panchi Bora became a popular face among the college crowd. The show eventually went off air and Bora disappeared. However, Panchi is back in talks with Balaji for another show. The only problem is that her mother isn't too kicked about the idea.
Education first
Currently pursuing a degree in Arts from Fergusson College in Pune, Panchi says she can't wait to get back to acting. "I earned myself a name and became popular after the Balaji show. Getting a chance to do another show with them definitely excites me, but I need to convince my mother about it too," she says.
Her mother isn't too happy with the idea of her getting back to acting. "She wants me to complete my education before taking up another show. I love my college life and have a nice set of friends here. I've been doing advertisements whenever I get the time. Apart from that there have been offers to do some movies in the South, but I don't want to get into that right now," says Panchi.
Good rapport
About her new show with Balaji, Panchi says, "We are still in talks and the offer is good, but I need to think about it. I share a good rapport with Balaji and working with them once again is something I'm looking forward to."
But won't her acting schedule interfere with her college schedule? "My teachers are quite supportive of my interest in acting, and they have promised to help me out."
Talking about Kitni Mast Hai Zindagi, Panchi says the cast hasn't really been in touch with one another. She says, "Everyone has moved on and is doing their own thing. But once I get back to acting, maybe I will be able to get back in touch with them. For the moment though, I just hope my mom gives me permission to do the show. If that doesn't happen then maybe I will take up a job in mass media."
