Chennai Express finally chugs off
Friday Sep 28, 2012- MUMBAI, Sept. 28 --
- The much-awaited Shah Rukh Khan starrer Chennai Express, which is directed by Rohit Shetty, has finally gone on the floors. Shooting for the film began yesterday at Yash Raj Studios. The project, which marks the collaboration of Rohit Shetty and SRK for the first time, is a romantic thriller.
An industry insider says, "The set design was personally supervised by Rohit and was created in 25 days. It's beautifully done up and an extravagant set." Our source adds, "On day one, the shoot revolved around SRK and a few other cast members. The schedule will go on for some time."
The film, which will feature Deepika Padukone in the lead opposite SRK, is produced jointly by UTV Motion Pictures and Red Chillies Entertainment.
