My thoughts on Indu's lack of emotion during the hug was due to the fact that Indu knows any sign of passion from Indu's side makes Sanchi uncomfortable and she withdraws from him.

Indu down plays the intensity quotient to keep her close to him on an of chance she might respond some day.

actually ritu... here im with you...

1) owing to the circumstances they're in (i.e. being blamed for murder etc)

2) being hounded by the police

3) sanchi becoming an emotional turmoil - devastated by the grief she's caused her parents

4) and Indu having faced rebukes from Sanchi many times in the past

makes Indu feel relief/togetherness/compassion/warmth more than anything else... one's bound not to be sucked into lustful emotions that easily at such a point...

Now, I'm sure if circumstances were slightly different...or if things between them had lasted longer without hindrances... or if something else gradually triggers it ... passion is bound to eventually take over..

though frankly speaking even this scene was medicine for sore eyes...

and for 2 other another points you'd mentioned 😳

well...about them being in the dark - they're following the same routine they did in the library... not switching on the lights so they don't attract any form of attention..

And as for money and staying at places; they did mention that they were staying at Indu's relatives' place illegally...😊

even the last place they stayed - the lodge - Yogi'd managed to pull a few favours there didn't he? (though Indu did cough up some money later on)

Besides, its not that Indu doesn't have money - well he does support his friends monetarily...but, he possibly doesn't have a steady cashflow/income to rent a house and start up another household for Sanchi's sake...

anyway, suki... too much like-for-like logic's never going to be present in any Indian serial for that matter... 😆
