This show is no diff from others in terms of the saas-bahu drama aspect. Initially, it was not so... because Khushi never had a saas. Even nani and the Raizadas were nice to Khushi; except for Arnav who had his bouts of hatred towards Khushi.
But now they have brought in the scheming saas- daadi, who plots and schemes with the villain... who purposely withheld the info about Garima until the wedding day and who is out to humiliate Garima and Khushi... its sad to see that IPK too has come down to this level...

IT is not this serial but just a truth of the so called cultured Indian society we live in steeped in ancient traditions all of which are ready to quickly point fingers at the woman. For heavens sake Sita was asked to take agnipariksha so she could prove herself pure to RAm. What do you expect? The change has to come within every woman of today who will be a wife, mother, mother in law, sister sister in law etc, so jointly they can change the perception.
Cv's are just catering to the masses, but I hope the surprise in in tomorrow when ASR comes to claim his bride.

You got it so right. The only person who can make anyone a victim is themselves! S..t happens in life but women need to stop the insanity and stand up and fight. Fall but fall on your terms! So many complain but how many treat their sons/brothers different from their daughters/sisters.
Why do Indian women allow that Ram/Sita story to be aired? Is that not a wrong message? Does religion make it okay? Are all men to blame because women will not take a stand for justice?

Cheers

I am fine with the insults hurled. It happens in real life too. What I am not okay with and refuse to digest is when women stand back like a sack of potatoes and listen to it patiently letting themselves be insulted. Even animals react when wronged. What are these women ? serial robots? Just unbelievable, unbelievably stupid that is.

The only +ve I saw is Kushi has returned to her old self(only partially). I want the guest house Kushi back, and I also want the post guest house Payal and Bua back. Is it too much to ask?

Rima, great post as always.

The writers of this show thrive on humiliating women and showing Khushi's pain, always have. I saw this coming as soon as they introduced the Dadi character.

They brought her on so she could humiliate Khushi every chance she gets and Arnav could look like a hero. Glorify men, make women look weak. What did that do for the ratings? I just hope they remember the audience of this show is different.

But I loved the Khushi I saw today.

This time, Khushi will be strong and stand up for herself and her family. She shouldn't take any more humiliation from those idiots. Give it back to them. I swear the ratings will increase if they do.

P.S. The one positive...I love LM. The direction was brilliant. I love how he focused on Khushi's reactions every time, as the truth was revealed to her. It was a vital scene of the show that was important for them to get right. And he got it right.

I agree wid ur post.. Khushi was strong today n more importantly she supported her Amma even though she was in shock...

Kuddos to Khushi she awesome...
