Update: August 23, 2006
Lucky comes to Samay and asks if he did all the arrangements… Samay asks what kind of arrangements… Lucky says that he brought the tickets and they will leave this dirty village by tomorrow and go back to Canada… Samay says we are not going back… Lucky asks what is your problem, don't tell me that you want to live here all your life… Samay says not all my life but for a few more days… Lucky asks why is he after that girl, she is an innocent girl… He asks her not to take it to heart if one girl refused him… samay just tears the tickets…
Rusty comes to the breakfast table and is shocked to see Samay there… He says good morning to her… Rusty does not reply… Randhir tells Rusty that Samay just said good morning to her… All the family members look at rusty… Rusty says good morning and sits… Randhir tells rusty that Samay wants to stay her a little longer… Samay says that the business here, the place, and the people here, all the prospects here are very challenging … He says that until I get all this, I won't rest… He says God save Punjab and its people… Randhir asks him to keep his spirits up because many people come here but leave empty-handed… Samay says that I'm different, if I like something I get it… He says this looking at Rusty… Linda is noticing this whereas everyone else is busy with their breakfast… Kulwant comes there and is happy to see Samay… Samay says that there is something in this house that pulls him here… Kulwant asks what is the best thing he liked here… Samay points to Rusty and says that… All are shocked and Rusty cannot believe it… After a while, Samay asks Rusty to move a little, he then points and says that painting is his favorite… All smile, Madhura looks kinda relieved… Rusty asks Randhir to come as they are getting late for work… samay says that he will get a little bored at home so can he come too, if Rusty doesn't mind… Randhir asks why would rusty mind, it is your own office you can come anytime… Samay smiles and says that he'll join them later…
Samay comes to the office ( all the girls there kinda drool over him)… Rusty is annoyed… Samay asks her if she had made a promise or something not to talk to her… Rusty says it is nothing like this… samay says that he wants to know about their business and the companies they deal with… Rusty just walks away from there… Samay follows her… rusty says that she very well knows that he is not interested in their business and if I had a choice… Samay finishes her sentence and says that you would have thrown me out… He says that you have told me that before and I remember it… Samay says that this anger of yours is quite attractive… Samay says I like… Rusty asks him to shut up and asks him to go from there… Samay asks her to chill and not get so excited… Samay says that on one hand, she talks about cultural values and on the other hand, talks to guest like this… Randhir comes there and asks what they were talking about… samay says he was trying to learn about the business here… Randhir asks him to come join their presentation… Samay is happy and leaves… Rusty asks Randhir why he did that… Randhir says that he would have been bored and so I thought he should come with us… Rusty is annoyed and says that I don't think samay even knows the basics of business… Randhir laughs it off and takes her with him…
The meeting is taking place… Randhir gives a presentation… Samay just keeps staring at Rusty… Randhir talks about the project for the village… One person there says that it should be in the city since they would gain more and there are so many facilities there… Rusty says that labor is cheap in the village and by doing this the village people will get jobs and the village would develop… That person says that we are here for business and not social work… Samay says that he is absolutely right but you can't understand what Mr Deol and Ma'am are trying to say here… He gets up and asks for randhir's permission to do the presentation… He then says that the big thing here is capital investment… He explains the differences between the costs here and in the city… He says that the only negative point is transport… He asks them if they would look at one rupee loss or 50 rupees gain… He goes on and on and everyone there claps… The company accepts asks them to send their project details…
Randhir asks Samay to work with them on this project till he is here in the village… Samay says that he is here for the first time and has no idea about the project… Randhir says that Rusty will explain it to you and you won't find a better associate than Rusty… Samay says that he has no problem if Rusty is ready… Randhir says that Rusty won't have any problems… Rusty is not happy… Randhir asks Rusty to explain the project details to Samay as he has to go attend a meeting… Randhir leaves… Rusty just gets up and leaves as well…
Randhir is in meeting with the bank guy… He tells him that he would lose everything if he does not arrange for the money… Randhir thinks that he has to get this project at any cost…
Samay asks Rusty to give him the project details… Rusty says that they don't need him for the project… Samay asks why she didn't say that to her papa… She says that she'll explain it to him later… Samay asks what about the speech I gave at the meeting… Rusty says that they could have managed without him… Samay asks whether she is thinking that he is doing this for her… he then says that he is sorry to burst her bubble but don't give yourself so much importance… He says that he is doing this for Randhir uncle and this project is very profitable for him… He says that I know I will gain nothing out of this… Rusty says that it is good that he understood that… Samay says that he shouldn't have done what he did, he was wrong… He tells her that Lucky says the Indians have big hearts and they forgive others… He says he hopes she too has a big heart… He asks for forgiveness… Rusty says it's ok… Samay says it doesn't look like she forgave him… Rusty says she did… Samay says if she did, then she will have to drink a cup of coffee with him… Rusty does not respond… Samay gets up and says that he would have to tell Lucky that Indians do not have a big heart… He is about to leave when Rusty says it's ok but only one coffee…
Samay and Rusty go out for coffee… Rusty says that they need to go back soon as she has lots of work to do… He goes to check and mixes something in Rusty's coffee… Rusty takes the coffee and drinks it… samay just smiles… Rusty feels dizzy, she holds her head…
