Riya stood there waiting, that's what she has been doing for the last two months – waiting. She stood there for a whole minute, when nothing was said Riya sighed and her head dropped. She had waited enough; she can't be left hanging – not anymore. Two huge drops of tears slowly rolled off her eyelashes and fell down her cheeks, for the third time that evening Riya turned to leave but this time it was for good.

As soon as Riya turned to leave Arjun was overwhelmed with grief – the same grief that struck him when he watched Roshini fall to the ground. In those mere seconds that took his wife to hit the ground – dead, he knew, he knew that he would never hold her again, never feel the warmth of her skin, and never again feel her heart beat against his chest. With Roshini he never had a choice; she was snatched away from him...brutally, cruelly. But, Riya...he was pushing her away, the person who made him feel normal again. He could stay with her and smile, be happy and not feel guilty about it. She brought back life in him...and he was letting her go.

Riya moved forward towards the door when she found herself trapped in his arms. She stilled out of shock and relief that he stopped her. His arms coiled around her waist and gently dragged her back to himself. Arjun nuzzled his face into Riya's hair "Don't...please...don't go" Arjun whispered, his warm breath on the back of her neck sent shivers down her body. He turned her around so they faced each other; their bodies inches away Arjun cupped her face with his two large, rugged hands. "Don't leave...please..."

With his thumbs Arjun wiped the tears on Riya's surprised face, "I am sorry Riya. For everything, I – I always held myself back...I know I hurt you...but I never...I just wasn't sure..."

"Shhh hey! I know how you feel...about us. I can understand what you must be going through but I just...I didn't want to be left hanging...I needed to know if you..."

"I do"

Those two words hung in the air. Riya saw her own love and passion mirror in his eyes and she knew – she knew there was no going back, this was it. Without a warning Riya threw her arms around Arjun's neck and hugged him. Though initially surprised a rare smile spread across his lips and he hugged her back.

This is how Shree found Arjun and Riya when he came into Arjun's office to inform him of a new case.
