The Osthe villain is all set to reappear onscreen in another Tamil flick soon. Sonu Sood, who's been playing the baddie in south flicks successfully, has now been signed on Sundar C's Madha Gaja Raja aka MGR. Sonu joins the other MGR stars, Vishal, Varalaxmi and Anjali.
Ask Sonu about how different this role will be from the other Tamil films he has done so far and he says, "I play an industrialist who is all set to join politics. He is a man who rules the city and wants to run the political game of the country with his power and money."
The actor says he's in talks with some Telugu producers to do more south flicks. Currently, he's also working in two Hindi films Shootout At Wadala and Prabhu Dheva's current directorial venture with Girish Kumar and Shruti Haasan.

After quite a bit of back and forth, it seems that Pran's portrayal of Sher Khan from Zanjeer will finally be reprised by Sonu in Apoorva Lakhia's remake of the film. Initially, Sanjay Dutt was supposed to take up the role, but news came later that Arjun Rampal had been finalized for it. However, Arjun too recently backed out of the movie citing date issues.
The remake is now back to Sonu, the original choice for the role. Even though he's yet to sign on the dotted line, the actor has given his confirmation to the makers. Now, with the cast finally on board, we hear that a Telugu version is also being considered for the film, which may be shot with the same cast. When we contacted Sonu, he confirmed that he's on board, but didn't give additional details. Sonu
