| One actor/producer Sachin Bajaj is impressed with is Sunny Deol. It was their close interaction during the making of Naksha that the two professionals turned friends. "Sunny is reticent by nature, but once he opens up, you realise that he is the most wonderful human being," reveals Bajaj. Bajaj said that it was during the shooting of Naksha in Manali that he discovered that Sunny had a weakness for food. "While shooting at Manali, the only thing that Sunny sincerely gorged on was food. The cold weather made us all the more hungry," he smiles. Deol relished the desi ghee ka parathas. "Sunny and I also tried out some Italian dishes. However, they had a very Indian taste to them," Bajaj laughs. "But the one place that Sunny really tried out different restaurants was when we were shooting in New Zealand," he adds. Wasn't it the same location where Sunny Deol had done some daredevil stunts on a raft in a river? Sources also had it that because he had decided to do the stunts himself sans any professional rafting duplicates, it had inspired Viviek Oberoi and Sameera Reddy too to go ahead with the dangerous act. "Yes," admits Sachin Bajaj. "Sunny decided to do the stunt himself to make the scene as authentic as possible." Sachin added that shooting for Naksha was an adventure off the sets too. "The entire crew of Naksha used to wake up at three in the morning to leave for Rohtang Pass which was two hours away. The drive up and down through narrow roads on the mountains was quite an adventure by itself. We were shooting there in the freezing cold. An action sequence and a song were picturised there," he informs. Sunny also has a huge fan following in the North. Reports had it that the morning they began shooting at Rohtang Pass, fans surrounded the sets and refused to budge until Sunny posed with them individually and gave autographs. "The security was worried since about 500 people had turned up to watch the shooting of the film. But they were all well behaved. And once Sunny posed with them, I could see the look of gratitude in their eyes. I guess it is this love of his fans that has kept Sunny going all this while," Bajaj said. |
