Ok so I do not get why Mahesh Bhatt (a director) who has directed many movies or his daughter who also directs many movies not Give their own daughter/sister a break in their "own" movies. I can understand if they were just actors and want a nice debut for their sons/daughters but they are Directors hello.

Why did they send their ladli pyaari daughter to Yash Raj films for her debut? Don't they debut stars who are from different countries, po*n stars etc etc . Why the double standard? So they want to make these movies that are so on the verge of not receiving a certicate from the Indian Film association(yall know what I am talking about) but the want their daughter to do films with Yash Raj? wow just wow😡

PS: sorry I meant Dharma productions not Yash Raj

Its simple. When your father gives you a break...people think its a father's love that made him do that. But when a non-relative gives you a break you add more credibility to your resume. Its another matter that the film is sponsored by your father's black money. And this seems a new tactic in Bollywood adopted by star kids. Hence YRF gives a break to Boney Kapoor's son, Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan is given a break by KJo, Siddharth Roy Kapur's brother and Shakti Kapoor's daughter is given a break by the Bhatts etc etc.
But if these star kids dont click they anyways have their dads to relaunch them again and again.

I don't think it's double standard. If Mahesh Bhatt wants to make "bold" movies, that's his choice. Maybe Alia does not want to be seen in such bold movies, especially since she's 19 and just starting out! She is a different individual, with her own choices. So I don't understand the bit where you're saying how the Bhatts make bold movies, but they want Alia in a A-grade movie. The daughter doesn't have to follow the footsteps of the rest of the family!

Plus, let's compare... Dharma vs. Bhatts. I'd rather go for Dharma. And I am sure if she doesn't click with the audience through SOTY, Mahesh Bhatt will "relaunch" her. 😆

And I also agree with whatever -ksh- said! :D
