Awesome work Ria 👏 👏 👏.Its so beautiful... I loved it. whatever,I don't like Shilpa Anand but,I can tolerate her only here for my ravishing Rajeev K.😛.

It was a really sweet love story.Loved it to the core.I love your pics selection... that was perfect for situation. My very Best wishes for you n your story... All the BEST 👍🏼

Brilliant story and more than anything..the last three lines stole my breath away...so much that I feel like stealing them and updating that as my FB status.. of course I'll give the credit to you :)

More than anything the last interview of what Love is..is I something I don't have words for..the whole story was so captivating and mesmerizing !

You can say a lot about love and how you want your partner to be..but when you fall in love, their imperfections also seem as perfections...love is when you accept them and live blissfully..then no barrier of personality, thought or even religion can come in between !

Lovely story...loved it :)

the only question i have is how come it takes samrat 4 years to know ridhima's name 😆.. i mean they became best friends and stayed best friends for four years, so they probably had mutual friends and yearbooks, how was ridhima able to hide her name? 😛

Love is just a word until someone gives it a meaning...

Arjun( Karan Kundra)- an uptight fashion designer has got a style to do whatever he does.
He is a very practical man, a typical guy who wants to explore his heights as a fashion designer.

Archana(Ankita Lokhande) - She 's quite opposite person. Always loving and caring.. She can do anything for her loved ones and is a very generous girl..

When Arjun - Archana cross their paths.. sparks are sure to fly? But are these sparks of hatred or something else..

The door bell rang. A woman in her late 40's answered.

The person who was waiting on the other side of the door smiled.

"Good morning Mrs. Sharma.. U remember me? I'm Rakesh, Archana's friend.. "

The woman smiled at the lanky boy, "Hello.. Yaad hai beta! Ajaao aajao.. Yeh tumhare haat mein kya hai? Is it a wedding invitation? Everyone these days is getting married. Except for my Archu who doesn't even- "

"Auntie.. I'm not getting married. I'm only 24. I have to settle in my career and you know well that Archana also gives importance to her career.. "

"But still getting married is- "

Someone came shouting down the stairs, interrupting Mrs.Sharma's speech.

"Mom.. you are scaring my friends! Plz stop worrying about my marriage! I'm just 23!! Hii Rakesh.. What's up?"

Archana Sharma smiled up at their visitor who breathed a sigh of relief.

"Looks like you got a new job Archu.. Don't forget about the party!"

Saying that, Rakesh left leaving the du0 in the living room of the Sharma household.

Archana opened the envelope that he gave her & squealed.

"Meri Naukri lag gayi! I got a job in Trendz India.. O my god! Sankat mochan Hanumanji.. Tussi great ho ji.. "

She hugged her mom, who patted her back and beamed, "Sankat mochan Ji.. You gave her a job! Do give the groom.. "

Archana groaned .

The evening sky was covered with thick black clouds, the breeze was crisp, almost heavenly to her as she drove into a huge building in New Delhi.

The Hytex(name of the building) was full of buzzing fashion enthusiasts, camera persons, models. The loud cheers of the spectators, occasional clicks of cameras were the only sounds that could be heard there. Archana was pleased to be there, she was thankful to Mr.Pal, her Uncle for getting her to the city's renowned fashion parade.

"And the star of tonight is.. " the announcer beamed at the group, that were assembled there just to witness the breathtaking summer collection by top designers from all over the country.

"Mr. Arjun Roy... "

There was a huge round of applause as a young man, in his mid twenties, walked onto the stage and received the momento.

"Thank you.. " the tall, handsome guy began after removing the expensive goggles that covered his piercing eyes.

"Thanks for the award.. " Arjun smiled, his smile reaching up his eyes.

The announcer smiled, "its definitely an honor to win the award tonight! You have overpowered all the talented designers here.. Who you would like to dedicate this victory? "

Arjun shrugged, "I won, 'cause I deserved.. I hate dedications. I'm a very practical man. Thanks again.. "

As he descended the stage, the crowd broke into whispers about how arrogant Arjun Roy, the son of Prameela Roy was. Archana can't help but raise a brow.

"Arjun hai hi aisa.. He's a nice boy. But very practical... " Mr.Pal remarked and she didn't want further to inquire about the eccentric designer.

~ Trendz India, Head office - New Delhi

Arjun was in a cheerful mood, he knew that his subordinates and almost everyone in his office envied him. He was proud to be that way.He turned around and saw that they were all gathered by the cafeteria.

Archana was having a little chat with her new colleagues. It was her first day at work, she was a nervous wreck. Just one look at the high class, funky designers gave her jitters. She was just like them she assured herself, as she adjusted her dupatta.

"That's brilliant.. Thanks! It feels great to be here. Its India's biggest fashion company, isn't it?" She asked smiling a little.

"Yeah.. Looks like you are here to keep gushing about it!" said a cool voice and she shuddered.

"Excuse me.. " she turned facing the person, only to see it was the famous Arjun Roy.

"I won't be repeating this.. This chattering is a waste of time. You better to get back to your work.. " and he was gone.

Ritu, a new friend there sniggered, "he acts like he owns this place. He's our head designer but still.. "

Archana smiled meekly wondering why people like him tend to be so uptight.

"Guess that's his nature.. " Ritu said as if she's answering her.

Her first few days went pretty well. She worked in various departments, just to observe how they worked. And the last day of the week, saturday turned out to be the day of doom. That was the day when she joined Arjun as a co-designer for their upcoming bridal collection.

Monday came sooner than expected.Archana began working, partially relieved that Arjun knew how to respect women, even though he was arrogant at times.

"I'm a very practical person.. " he corrected her one day after a fresh arguement.

Archana was vexed seeing him shout at every other co-worker in the team, "Arjun.. Why don't you try to be sweet to them?"

"Because its waste of time.. and they won't listen."

~

It was their third day at the work. Archana was impressed with her design when it all started.
"Its fantastic.. Amazing to see such a talented new comer here! I must say I'm very impressed.. "
She smiled brightly at Arjun's compliments, slightly amazed that she found his genuine smile endearing.

"But that doesn't mean you stop doing your work.. We still need to get it stitched... " He added swiftly.

She frowned, at his practicality. He was about to leave when she caught his arm.

"I'm sorry.. " she began letting go of his arm, "Thanks for the encouragement.. Its nice to work with you. I've learned few things. "

He nodded.

"You should smile more often.. "

He raised a brow and she quickly added, "everyone should smile more often.. "

He shook his head and gave a tiny smile.

~ The fourth day

"I'm sorry madam.. I can't do it! Give me a few days of time. I'll get the designer ghagra stitched.. My son isn't well madam. And plz don't tell this to Arjun Sir, I'll loose my job.. "

The tailor pleaded Archana.

"Shanti.. I understand. But we need to hire another tailor. This is a pristigious company. I'm sorry we have a little time.. "

"Madam plz.. Its a matter of few days. My mother will be here to look after him and I can work.. Plz ma'm.. "

Archana was touched by her tears and agreed.

~ A week later

Archana was glad that Arjun stopped snapping at their co-workers. Well, not completely.. he still shouted at times. But that was necessary, she reasoned. One day she was struck in the rain and called him up, asking him to pick her up and even called him a friend.

"A friend.. woh kab se?" he laughed.

"Haha.. very funny! So you're not my friend?" She asked him.

"Nope."

It was still raining heavily. Arjun parked his car for a moment, answering his important call. She took this opportunity to get out of the car and started walking on the road.

"Are you crazy?! Hume office jaana hai.. Get into the car!" Arjun shouted, yanking her arm.

Both were completely drenched.

"I won't take a lift from strangers... I mean people who aren't my friends... "

Arjun flared up, "I was kidding! Gosh! You girls can be so stupid at times.. "

She glared at him, feeling the chill seeping through her body. The rain was lashing out at them & she shivered.

"Okay.. You mean, we are friends?" she didn't know why she wanted to ask.

"Of course we are.. why would I come to pick you up if we aren't?"

Her anger vanished at once, she grinned, almost like an innocent child and he smiled back. He wanted to be mad at her, but he just couldn't.

~
That afternoon, things turned worse as he came to know that stitching work was still incomplete.

"How could you do this! This is the first time that I asked Mr.Malhotra to postpone the review.. this is ridiculous Archana. We need to get things sorted out by the weekend. The show's gonna happen in a few days and our designs are still incomplete! WHY??"

Archana took a deep breath, she has never seen him so angry.

"I don't know what's wrong with you! Did you think just because we are friends, you can do anything you want?"

She shook her head, hating herself for the tears leaking from her eyes.

"Get back to work now! And don't forget that I'm your boss!" Arjun finished.

He looked at her teary face and couldn't help but feel sad. But it was his duty.. What was Archana to him.. She was just another co-worker, nothing else. Then why was it that it hurt him seeing her that way.

"I will finish it this time sir.. " She replied with a fake smile and left.

~

Later that night, he found that she was still working.

"I'm sorry for what happened earlier.. Ritu told me... that it was Shanti's fault. You know what Archana.. You are really sweet. People can take advantage of you! Just tell that tailor to search for another job!"

Archana nodded, "its okay.. you're my boss! You need not apologise.. "

He sighed, "can't we just forget what happened this morning?"

Archana looked up and saw the guilt in his eyes, "we can.. "

"I've got something for us then.. " he placed something on the table.

"A pizza?" She glanced at him.

"Yeah.. I know you haven't eaten anything since morning.. Your mom will make you some tonight, but still I don't wanna be the sadoo boss.."

She was shocked but smiled.

Her genuine smile was what he needed. He dropped her home.
She smiled again at his sweet gesture.

"Thanks.. "

"Its okay.. I'm not that practical.. when it comes to my friends and family. I love them.. respect them from what they are.. "

She shook her head, Arjun was an enigma, "but still.. I love showing my gratitude to my friends.. for what they do.. "

He laughed, "you are too sweet.. I wonder how you survive! Archana.. this world is full of mean people. You need to be practical.. If you keep on going with this emotional attitude. You can't survive here.. "

There was a deeper edge to his words, she knew it.

"Really.. I can show you! There are sweet people like me.. Who live happily, just by living for others.. "

He was confused, "you can show me?"

"We can have a day off tomorrow.. "

"We'll see.. "

The other day, she was shocked when Arjun skipped his work. She called up his number & his mom answered her. She came to know that he was down with high fever, because he went out in rain.. though he was allergic to it.

Next day~

Saturday was looming closer, Arjun prepared himself for his defeat.
He hurried into his office only to see a copy of the complete designs on his table.

"How did this happen?" he asked himself.

"I covered up for you.. "

He smiled knowing well, who answered him. He turned to her swiftly.She was a way different from him, but still managed to become his friend. Well she was one, right?

"But you did the double work.. you wasted your time .. for me? I mean you saved our show.. but still- "

"I told you Arjun, its not a waste of time to help! And you were sick because you got wet.. n that's because of me!!" Archana was pleased with herself.

"Hmm.. since you did my part. No work today?"

"A day off! Yeah.. I can show you some sweet people around.. " She dragged him by his arm, "come on! Arjun.. You will love it! I promise.. "

He whined, "Honestly Archana.. I was born here! I travelled every street in Delhi.. What's new? Can't we just have some rest?"

"Oh don't be a baby! We aren't doing any work.. so its equal to taking rest! Lets go!!"

And they went.

Hum jo chalne lage chalne lage hai yeh raaste.. ahaha..

Arjun smiled as he drove the car. She was sitting beside him, her smile, her words.. there was something about her that made this trip special. The song on the radio, the familiar monuments, were all looking new.

Manzil se behtar lagne lage Yeh raaste..

She showed him, the people at HR office, whose motto was to fight for children rights, The inside of an Ashram where relationships were based on true love, but not on practicality. He was amazed to see a foreign return lady who devoted herself for the help of the poor. She proved it to him there are sweet people in this world, sweeter than her.

"Ow!" he yelped in pain as she hit him playfully.

"Matlab main sweet nahi hoon kya?(Am I not sweet?)" She was adorable when she pouted.

"Of course tum ho.. badi pyar se maarti ho!(you are.. you hit me with love n affection)" he replied as they got into the car.
This was one memorable trip.

~ The Final day

It was the day of the show, it took all his strength to calm her down.

"Our show's gonna be a hit Archana.. Just come out already!" he yelled over the phone.

He was waiting for the past 15 minutes in front of her home. She had locked up herself inside, because she was 'nervous'.

His mom did come out already smiling at the 'munda'(a guy) who was standing outside the gate, probably just to 'see' her daughter.

"Who are u?"

"Namaste auntie Ji.. " Arjun greeted back, nervous that she might think he was roadside romeo.

"Tumhari shaadi hui?" (Are u married?)

"Nahin.. "

"You can marry my daughter.. But still! I have to know if you are a descent guy, what ur parents do how much you earn- "

"Auntie Ji.. I'm a very descent guy, I earn a huge amount of money.. But Right now I & Archana have a show to attend.. "

"Don't lie to me.. I know you are here, just to see my daughter-" Archana's mom went on & on.

"Mom! Stop troubling him! I'm sorry Arjun... mom's so herself. Mom this is my boss, a good friend of mine.. And he's not plotting to marry me or rob your property.. " Archana explained it all to her mom, who quickly accepted her mistake.

But Arjun wasn't listening. He was too busy staring at the beautiful girl in front of him.

She was wearing a cream color saree, a little make up. And she was gorgeous almost like an angel.

They got into the car. He kept sneaking glances at her as he drove. What's this weird feeling inside his chest? Why is that she brings a smile on his face whenever she's around? Did she enjoy his company as much as he did?

Jeene ki wajah hi yahi marna issi ke liye

Kehte hain khuda ne iss jahan mein sabhi ke liye
Kisi na kisi ko hai banaya har kisi ke liye

He was so engrossed in looking at her that he didn't notice a huge vehicle coming their way. She shrieked & he turned the steering right in time.
She was clearly panicked. He stopped the car, asked her to get down.. take a breath of fresh air.
He pulled out a water bottle, before he could give her she hugged him.
He was shocked for a bit, but hugged her back.
A few seconds later she pulled back looking embarassed.

"I'm scared about loosing the show, loosing you, loosing mom.. my friends, " she sniffed, asking him to drive carefully.

He promised, making her smile. Then they continued on their way to the city's fashion contest complex.

Again his eyes were drawn to her. He just wanted to stare at her smiling face.. He needed a diversion. He turned on the radio.

He couldn't think of life with out her, he realised. She told him that she wants to pursue higher studies & will leave the job after a few months. He needed to tell her.. whatever he was feeling.

The show ended, their designs impressed the spectators.
Archana was still a nervous wreck as the announcer declared the star of the show.

"The stars of tonight are, Arjun and co!
Congratulations!"

She screamed in delight n hugged him. He walked onto the stage to receive the token of appreciation.

The announcer remembered that Arjun hated dedicating his achievements to someone. Surprisingly, Arjun grabbed the mike and he spoke,

"I won't say this is all my greatness.. cause it belongs to someone else too! Who altered my life.. Look! I'm here giving my thank you speech! Thanks Archana.. with out you this is not possible. Then.. I'd thank my mom, who's my best buddy and inspiration. Paa, I'm sorry I was angry with you for all these years.. When you divorced mom, my heart broke.. and I started believing in practical relationships.. But I realised they aren't thanks to Archana.. "

Archana was touched. The crowd went still listening intently to the arrogant Arjun, who seemed to have changed a lot in a good way. Or perhaps, he wasn't that bad as they thought.

Ritu whispered, "you know who Arjun is.. He is Atul Roy's son.. the owner of Trendz India. He used to hate his dad.. but now, it all changed! "

"I wanna dedicate this to her.. and all my staff at Trendz India.. And there is something else I wanna say.. Keh doon Kya?" Arjun went on.

Archana bit her lip & smiled.

"Sabke saamne I wanna confess something.. Archana.. You have become an important part of my life.. and- .. I like you.. "

Ritu whistled & cheered.

"baaki main personally keh doonga!"

The crowd clapped as he descended the stage.

A while later~

He found her outside, gazing at the stars. Did she know how beautiful she looked with her hair left open in the wind and wearing that cream color saree?

"Toh Kya kehti ho?"

She turned to him with a huge smile.

"Thanks.. "

"Sirf thanks? I just confessed something.. that I love you.. "

Her eyes widened, but she smiled even brighter.

"Maa se poochna padega.. "

"Tumhari maa ko ek munite mein pataadoonga! I've heard she's crazy about getting you married.. "

She mock glared and started walking off. He caught her arm & pulled her closer.

"Maa ko to main handle karloonga.. What does beti want?" He smiled at her, knowing well what her answer would be.

"Hmm.. Tum mujhe aise propose karoge? No rose flower.. nothing?"

"I'm a practical man yar.. come on!"

He pulled her even closer, she melted and hugged him tight. She didn't say I love you, but her tears of happiness said it all. It began to rain suddenly..

"Dance?" he asked her.

"I dunno how to dance.." she told him.

But he shook his head.

He twirled her around and she laughed.

"Chalo chalo.. You'll get sick if you are here for long! Mummi Ji kya sochengi? Besides.. Don't you want to drop your girlfriend home?" She pulled him along, "Its almost time.. "

May be a bit of practicality can do wonders.. he thought n smiled.
