Hello fellow Arshi fans:
Well…the episode was certainly better than the episode. However there were some very important aspects of the previous two episodes as well.We will include a brief synopsis of the previous two episodes in here as well.Brilliant acting by all the cast as well as brilliant efforts by the whole team of IPKKND. They really love keeping us on our toes do they not?Well, let us get onto the analysis then:
I) Time to Fight:
The theme of this episode was that sometimes we cannot go against fate. What is going to happen will happen. The truth cannot be hidden. You cannot always continuously and forever avoid a confrontation, simply because you wish to.This was very well showcased in the case of Garima, who was trying to leave Delhi in order to come face to face with Daadi.DM had other plans, and so the rains caused the cancellation of all inbound and outbound trains from Delhi going towards Lucknow, which was her destination. We could see the sheer panic and desolation set in on Garima's face at this news.We also see her desperation when she says that they have to go and she has to see if she can get bus tickets; only to be told by Buaji how can she take Shashiji on a bus in his conditions? Maybe it is time for Garima to stop running and face the situation head on.
Another aspect was Nk's telling Arnav that Black was better than Black. What a play on words over here.We can construe it to mean that Khushi might be the one to fight against Skunky in the upcoming battle, or that Aranv might be the better opponent between him and Skunky in the upcoming battle. The last aspect of this episode was Khushi calling Arnav and trying to be like Arnav and asking him out on a date.We applaud Khushi for being the first of the two to ask the other out on a date. However, we could see that she was trying to be like ASR, but not yet ready to be him or even completely like him, as she called him after ordering him to meet her at the restaurant and then hanging up; she called him back to ask him if he was coming. Is this an indication that she is not yet ready and able to become ASR?
II) Opposing Parties:
The main theme of this episode was to showcase the opposing parties in this upcoming battle and the differences between the two couples who make up the two opposing parties: Here are the two parties in this battle:
Arshi:
On the one hand we see Khushi, who is dressed in Arnav's favourite color to wear, Black. We also saw the open communication between Arnav and Khushi; how they were comfortable with each other enough to be open and honest and say what they were really feeling. We could see the comfort level of Arnav and Khushi with each other and in saying how much they love each other. We saw how when Arnav reached and held, Khushi's hand, she was very happy and glad by that gesture from Arnav. How Arnav told Khushi that she did not need to change for him and that he loved her just the way she was.
One thing we would have loved to see here is Arnav's telling Khushi that she did not need to do anything special for him because she had already done so much for him. Khushi, who had asked Arnav out on the date, was surprised, when Arnav told her that he had already paid the bill.Another aspect that despite all the glitches, he was not angry or disappointed with Khushi, did not lose his temper with her even once, was in fact calm and was trying to get her to relax; even apologized for Khushi's accidentally hitting another customer with the cork of the Champaign. He was even willing to let the fact that she had mixed up the dates with regards to the reservation and was willing to come back on the appropriate date.
Please note that despite the lack of reservation, the table that Arshi got was in the middle of the restaurant in full view of everyone. They even had an incident when they had the eyes of all the other patrons of the restaurant except for the hidden couple, Shyanjali, who were away from the rest of the patrons. They were not afraid of being in the open and did not care who saw them. They were not hiding anything. They would not think of attacking anyone from the back.
Shyanjali:
On the other hand, Skunky and Anjali are at the same restaurant sitting at another table, where with just a turn of the head of both Arnav and Shyam at a 30 degree angle, they would be able to see each other. The same basically follows for Khushi and Anjali.Skunky gives the gift for the little princess, and we see that there are two pairs in there. Is this yet another indication of the babies being twins; and because of the silver ones in there, there is a good possibility of there being a boy. Here we do not really hear much in the way of their conversation, however what little we do hear is open and honest communication of thoughts and feelings from one side, which is Anjali and not the case from Skunky's side.
One can tell that he almost looked bored; or rather it was a fake smile and emotions showing on his face. One could almost see him thinking how he has Anjali eating out of the palm of his hand. Here she is 7 months pregnant with his child, and all he ordered for them was juice? What about feeding the pregnant lady? We know that he is charging it to the credit card that he got however from Anjali, so… Skunky did get angry when Anjali wanted to leave, after Skunky had spotted Arnav and Khushi in the restaurant after they left.He is trying to get her to calm down, however half hartedly and so not having any success. The other aspect is that when Skunky reached for Anjali's hand, we could see surprise on her face, initially, and slowly hesitantly did we see a smile come on her face, but not completely reach her eyes.Is it really that surprising to her for him to hold her hand, when he is her husband and the father of her child?
We also noted that the table that they were sitting away was to the side almost hidden and almost out of view of the other tables there. Then we have Skunky ducking and hiding when he spots Arnav and Khushi, and tells Anjali about spotting them.Anjali in turn also turns her back on the restaurant at large and is ducking her head trying to hide and not be noticed by Arnav and Khushi. We can see Skunky has rubbed off on Anjali. This has always been Skunky's motto of hiding behind others and striking from the back.Anjali it seems is catching on to that motto as well, as we have already seen her lying to her brother repeatedly and going along with Daadi in whatever plans she has of bringing Skunky back into RM.
III) Preparation For First Strike:
The theme of this episode was Skunky's preparation for his first strike against Arnav, in his mission to gain admittance back into RM and for him to sabotage Arnav and Khushi's Wedding. At the same time the other key factor is Garima has finally stopped running from Daadi and is now facing that situation head on, and yet it is not DM's wish that they come face to face just yet. Here is a detailed analysis of this episode:
Wire, Wire On The Wall, Shining So Bright For All:
-Shyam loves playing with his wires; first he sets up the wires for the cameras (an idea we believe stolen from NK, after all NK first set up the cameras to have him caught) the chap probably thought it was one idea not to be missed! He now is messing with the wires to cause another problem; whether he succeeds or not is something we are waiting to see.
-Shyam is the guy that thinks he has the brains but unfortunately he never did learn the art of mastering how to mess up people's lives properly.
-NK, the one that is most likely dubbed the stupid one in the family is usually the one that ends up finding out the truth; questioning certain things taking place and solving at least half their problems, whether directly or indirectly. Even in this instance, he asks Arnav what kind of wiring this is, and realizing he is not listening, grabs his attention rather than ignoring the matter.
-Arnav, the one that went to Harvard, and trust us, we are still trying to work that one out, seems to have left his brains there. We wonder how much loss this guy has suffered in his businesses. We mean seriously, it took you all that time to follow the wiring? What; were you trying to reach the moon? In the time it took them to actually follow the wire, Shyam managed to spot them investigating the said wire and casually walked across the room, up the ladder, cut the wire, made it neat and hid the camera and made his way back down. We then finally see Arnav pulling the wire. Surely he must have felt the stiffness when pulling the wire and the difference when it suddenly gave way??? Like what the!!!!
Who Was That?
-After the fiasco of trying to work out how long the wire was (as discussed above) we see our favourite villain continue with his messed up villainous plans. He is going around doing stuff to the wiring of the house, and our only question in respect of his electrician duties is does he actually know what he is doing? Because if he does not, then the stuff he is doing with the wires might actually backfire and help out Arnav. We mean imagine if he ends up lighting up the entire house instead of actually causing injury to someone? Now there is a thought...
-Arnav is asked about the wiring, and his answer, "I have no idea"; yaar should you not at least investigate where they are going to? The amount of time you are taking loitering about with your Harvard degree, Shyam is making effective use of taking down the cameras and messing up the other wires for his dirty deeds.
-Arnav spots Shyam once, thinks and ignores. He then sees a missing worker (who is Shyam) and asks the guy that there was a guy there, where is he? Getting concerned he finally decides to go and find out what is happening. He worries that he might be in his sister's room and follows him there; in the mean-time Shyam manages to chuck a box under Anjali's bed and make a runner. Arnav comes in and is suspicious, and when Anjali comes out of the bathroom, he asks his sister if someone had been in her room and she says no, he then contacts security and asks them to check the ids of all the workers and reassures his sister that he is only doing safety checks to avoid robbery.
-We see him worry for his sister; poor guy will be heart broken when he realizes what his sister had been up to. Who is still saying to the baby how she wished the baby's father could be there for the baby shower.
Garima's Dilemma!
-Buaji says to Garima that she understands why Garima is worried, and says it's Daadi. Well yeah you got it spot on; unfortunately you just don't know how bad things really are! When Buaji says we will not give her a chance to complain, Oh boy, Buaji, Daadi has nothing but complaints, you don't need to give her a chance.
-Buaji comments how Garima coming into Shashiji's life brightened his life; and that although she did not give birth to Khushi and Payal she has been like a real mother to them. She then tells her not to be scared and that she would be rewarded for all the good things she had done. Garima breaks down, she knows what she has done and it is breaking her apart; she has finally realized that in order to secure her daughters' futures, she has to go to Daadi and if nothing else, beg for her forgiveness.
Come Out, Come Out, Wherever You Are:
-Garima is adamant that she will meet Daadi; so putting on a brave face asks Maami where she is and Maami all too happy to create a scene, or see a scene or be involved in a scene, happily leads her to the lioness.
-Unfortunately or should we say, luckily for Garima, Daadi is busy sitting Anjali down for her Godbharai, and one of the women mention how she has not got the Pooja Plate (interesting that even now that plate is missing, when it comes to Anjali something always happens to her Pooja Plate. Should that not be hint enough for her????). Anyway, Daadi walks off to get it, realizing a mistake has been made.
-We see a concerned Daadi talking to Devi Maiyaa, saying that she really wanted Shyam at the Godbharai but because of the situation this seems impossible – we wonder if this could be an indication of something happening to allow him to enter the house, or whether as always his plan will once again flop???
-We see Payal taking Garima to Daadi who is talking to DM; as they move towards them another woman walks up to Daadi and begins to talk to her. A poor nervous Garima is relieved, but also surprised. We think at this point she is beginning to think that she is being saved from facing her.
I Know You Are Here, This Is How We Are!
-Khushi looks for Arnav, Arnav senses Khushi,NK had been dragging him up the stairs to show him something, but we see Arnav pause, he looks back, NK wonders why Arnav paused and aftera few seconds Khushi comes, Arnav is lost in her completely and she under is intent gaza shyly glances away, NK then questions how Arnav new she was there and Khushi replies that it just happens with them.
-Arnav then goes onto point at his ear and she thinks she might have missing eaings, he then points to her nose and confused she checks, finally he touches his cheeks and looking at her worried walks off with NK happy.
-He then phones her and tells her that her nose was red and small, she says no it is not and he says well if not red, it definitely is small. Getting frustrated with him she says she is going to put down the phone and he says that oh will we not do the you first no you first? Khushi realising this is a good opportunity to mess with him hands the phone to Buaji.
We loved the intereaction between these two, although very inconsequential, it held its own meaning, they are comfortable with each and love to mess around with each other, also, on seeing her a bit nervous he made her smile, we will probably see him finding a way to meet her in the house during the ceremonies, of course that is before things mess up!
Nanheji Ki Radha:
-Arnav, realising Buaji is on the phone chucks the phone at NK saying that it is some girl. NK's mouth waters and getting excited starts to show off to her.
-Aakash goes to ask who it is and Arnav explains it is Buaji and is very proud of what he has just done, having saved his own backside.
-NK begins to flirt with her and says my Hindi is fish, when Aakash is about to correct him, we see Arnav stopping him. But Buaji finally understands he means good. When she says Nandkishore he says "you sound familiar" and finally the horror of the situation strikes and he realises it is Buaji. he screams and chucks the phone.
As much as we love to see Arshi, scenes like these are just as important and fun. However we get very limited scenes with these three brothers messing about and other such scenes, but it would be refreshing to see them more often.
Taunting Is The Way Of The Ladies:
-Whenever there are a bunch of ladies, one thing is assured, they cannot keep their mouths shut, they cannot see another happy and they have to take a dig.
-Anjali is sitting there smiling about her God bharai and that she is waiting for the baby to come, and that both parents should always be with the baby.
-We hear a woman say to her that I would have assumed that "your hubby would be here"; this hurts Anjali, saying"we know how he is but he is not here." We see Nani concerned as well as Daadi. Daadi consoles Anjali with her eyes saying everything will be ok and this helps Anjali. Daadi is up to something.
-We hear another lady say"something must surely be up otherwise he would not leave her alone". They then ask whether he has left the house and Daadi explains to Naani that all this is happening because of Arnav's stubbornness. Well honey you are just as stubborn, without knowing what has happened; and like your grandson, you are also jumping the gun.
-Khushi Asks Anjali has she had her medicine, she says no, Khushi says "I will get you water" and takes care of her. It was interesting to note that Khushi, who according to the families is not even Arnav's wife yet, is the one sitting beside Anjali to take care of her, and all the rest of both the families are sitting opposite them, along with the guests facing the two.We wonder if this is an indication that Khushi will be the one to take care of Anjali at some point in time.
-We hear Daadi say "we will call Son in law and I am sure he will come; and everyone will stop mouthing off".She tells Naani to phone their son in law and that he will come and all that was done wrong will be fixed. Arnav overhears her and tells her expressly that Shyam will not be coming back into the house.
Daadi does not know what the full truth is, and we wonder whether the situation in the past has clouded her mind and she refuses to see reason and is adamant to see her grandson in law as innocent? She thinks her son was innocent, whether he was or not is to be seen, but she holds the same beliefs about Shyam; so we wonder if she would be told the whole truth or whether it will be kept from her?
Food for thought:
-The day Khushi tells Arnav all the rasms need to be done; she said them in the following order: Roka, Kul Devi Pooja, Haldi, Mehendi, Sangeet, Phere, and Suhaag Raat.
-Now two of these have been done, but either Haldi was mentioned wrong or we believe that something will happen to delay the Mehendi; either something will happen to Khushi or to Anjali which could lead to a delay in Mehendi and the Haldi taking place first.
-We do wonder whether Garima is at fault or whether she believes she is at fault...though there are strong indications that whatever it was, she would never have lied deliberately. But like Khushi, being stuck in dire circumstances most likely, she had to make a choice most important at that time.
Colour Symbolisms:
It was interesting to note that the colours of all of our leads and supporting characters were either red, or yellow, with some green tinge for some.We saw Khushi in her color, yellow, with a little green and red thrown in.We saw Aakash, Payal, and Nk in red which represented Arnav. We saw Maami in Red and green, again representing Arnav and the union of Arnav and Khushi. We saw Naani and Buaji in yellow, both representing their being on Khushi's side. Anjali was in red, we believe that this was representing the fact that she is in danger. This has been indicated in the previous episodes that Skunky might be trying to harm her.Garima was also in red, with a little green in there, representing danger as well however we believe that this is in reference to her face off with Daadi and Daadi attacking her reputation, her morals and her truth.
Arnav was the most interesting he was burgundy (which is a combination of red and black) showcasing his color and the black possibly showcasing his darker side which will have to emerge for the battle against Skunky, or one can almost say that Red presents Arnav and love and Black represents ASR and hate and ruthlessness and shrewdness, which is all that will be needed for the upcoming battle. This could also indicate the merge of Arnav and ASR personas into one persona.
Daadi was beige with red tinged border. The beige we believe represents Anjali now, who is not so pure and a beacon of purity and truth, as she has started showing signs of Skunky's tendancies of lying, sneaking around and hiding. The red represents Daadi's love and devotion to Arnav, however, at this moment in time with Daadi being more on Anjali's side and helping her, she in turn is shrowded more in Anjali's colour then Arnav's colour.
We finally leave you with the following poem by Rashdah:
Seeking trouble is a game,
Seeking the truth is a harder task,
Scampering around the house,
The devil makes his mark,
Unknown to others,
He has set his trap,
The lovers play their games,
Those hiding secrets shiver with fear,
Yet the ceremonies go on,
Filled with lies and deception,
Each has their own to do,
Will we see them succeed in marrying,
Or will it be another lovers separation?
Precap:
Arnav is standing with his back towards Daadi who is directly behind him and Naani is standing in the middle of the two. Arnav says "Daadi try and understand whatever happened 14 years ago took us ages to get over. Then when everything was ok, Di and all of us were deceived by that man."Garima hiding behind the drapes has just overheard this bit by Arnav.
