I was actually just watching Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham a little while ago.BTW Kajol and Shah Rukh are just perfect.When I was watching it the scenes you have selected came into my mind as well.I was quite surprised when I saw your post since you have read my mind so well.

This did cross my mind too earlier.

I think to a certain extent Khushi's character is a loosely based on Kajol's character from K3G in that they're both vivacious and bubbly and a little bit eccentric.

Obviously with IPKKND being a daily soap they have had more chance to build and expand the character somewhat which has given us a lot more to watch and enjoy.

Not only that but remember when she gets married to Arnav and how her family reject her and say you have proven you are not our blood and only Shashi seems accepting and saddened for her...i thought that was very much similar to when SRK marries Kajol and hears the same speech from Amitabh, whilst Jaya looks on saddened.

As with ASR again it does have that wealthy business tycoon similarity and his love for his family.

But obviously with him they've made him a bit more arrogant and hard.

And that aarti song that Anjali has whenever there is a family gathering is definitely a different worded version to the title song from K3G although as far as i remember Karan Johar did say that the title song was based on a bhajan so it may well be that IPKKND are using the original bhajan version
