Here you all go....here is the first part. I do hope that you all like it. Please do leave comments would really appreciate it! It is very long.
Silence…says it all
Stepping out of the lift and onto the hard marble floor, her heels click nosily. Hair gently tied up, wearing a black pencil skirt and matching black jacket combined with a white shirt for simplicity.
It is her first day of work and she is nervous, her eyes cautiously alert and on guard yet still she crashes into someone sending her papers flying, she flinches at the sudden contact. Not wanting to meet the strangers eyes, she looks down in mock apology, only to hear a deep husky voice " yeh tumhara pehla din hai?". Shy and trembling at the mans voice, still not able to meet his eyes she murmurs "ji". She waits for him to say more, yet she is surprised when nothing more is uttered, sensing only his eyes on her….as if trying to understand all.
After moments of killing silence she hears him move but only to see him bend down and pick up some of her strewn papers, shocked and appalled she too bends down tucking her skirt in trying to gather as much of her papers as possible mumbling "yeh aph kya karahei hain" .
Still not allowing herself to meet his gaze she gladly accepts her papers in a suave attempt to get him to leave. As their hands touch a shiver runs through her spine and her eyes close.
She once more hears his husky voice causing her to tremble no doubt " Next time be careful".
Hearing his footsteps walk away she lets out a sigh of relief yet unable to stop the strange sudden feeling that has awoken inside of her, she chooses to ignore it and hurriedly walks away to meet the Director of the company and hotel knowing fully well, being informed many times, that the Director is a man who cannot and will not tolerate tardiness.
Reaching the reception she asks the lady if she can go in after announcing her name as "Miss Bani dixit", getting an affirmative she precedes but not before noticing the lady's smug and sly smile.
Standing just outside the huge room her eyes wander curiously drinking in all. Her eyes widen as she looks out of the beautiful bay window to see the sight that beholds her. Her eyes then wonder to the desk strewn with papers and the huge chair. Unable to see her Director's face she nocks softly and murmurs loudly "sir….sir" still no response only a single hand gesture indicating his approval of her entrance.
His voice suddenly booms huskily and loudly shocking her, as realization draws in that this was the very same man who she had just crashed into. A furious colour rises in her cheeks now unable to suppress herself a single word leaves her lips "aaph?". Realizing moments to late, her rudeness….
His eyes widen as he realizes the voice now clearly, turning around only to meet a women of 24/25. Beautiful face lovely features. His eyes run down her body taking in her good physique. Then he looks deep into her eyes….as if still trying to understand her.
Silence surrounds them as both realise that their introduction has already occurred, yet as that of much less formal.
Her eyes look at him cautiously, yet she gasps on the inside noting his hansom features, guessing him to be in his early 30's. She Realizes, that many women in his office must fall at his feat….just looking at him. Yet there is also another strange attraction about him…yet she is unable to uncover it.
Before either can speak properly the lady at the reception enters, bani studies her profile properly now, noting her skirt well too high and her top to tight to be deemed as appropriate and when she speaks it is somewhat different as to how she spoke to her. She immediately realizes that "she" must be one of the many women who fell for him. She smiles shyly saying nothing but realising all.
He looks up at his secretary noting her inappropriate attire for the third time, yet still saying nothing. Out of the corner of his eyes he notes his new employees smile. It causes his heart to swell and his insides to flutter, yet he too dismisses it looking straight into his secretary's eyes…
"Yes anjali…abh kya huwa???" his tone is irritated, she has already disturbed him thrice each time he observed to check up namely on his new employees, which so far had been women, making up a lame excuse.
The secretary blushes mumbles something about water and then runs out of the room casting a swift glance at bani.
Bani, she still looking innocent turns back her attention to her hansom director, waiting for his.
He picks up some files, flicks through them and says "ahh….toh tum bani dixit ho…welcome welcome to walia. Co.I see you have been assigned the post of managing secretary, very tough to acquire...well done for doing so"
He looks up to see her still standing, he smiles she is so different from the rest totally professional many others who come fling themselves ruthlessly upon him.
"areh…aph abhi thak bathei nahei?? Kyun?? Please have a seat miss dixit??"
Purposely enquiring to confirm whether she is married or not, yet he already knows she is not….no mangalsutra ;)
She blushes yet tries to remain in calm, taking the seat only to looks deep into his eyes, already getting lost she grips hers files trying to soothe all tension. "ji, main…aph…aph neh nehi bola keh meh bahet sakthi hoon…aur please sir mujeh bani bulao."
He frowns and murmurs " please, why do you call me sir it is too formal…please mujeh mr.walia bulao"
Blushing even more she replies meekly "Ji…mr walia"
Both refuse to acknowledge or bring up the topic of their much earlier, yet much less formal, meeting when both strangers had crashed sending her files flying…
Instead for 15 minutes both discuss about her job and all the necessary rules. Then he standing up bids her well in his company, shaking her hand professionally and leads her to the door.
She breathes a sigh of relief, not knowing why just being in his presence gives her little air to breath. She looks up at the secretary who slyly smiles and looks down, obviously in love with her boss.
Bani smiles and slowly starts walking out of the reception thinking as to how she will find her new room, yet all thought leaves her as she hears her name resounding of his lips…
"miss dixit…oh sorry I… I mean bani…doh week ke baad hummne aikh party rakhi hai employees ke liye agar aph a sakti hai to bahut acha hai kunki all staff members are advised to go"
She turns around and locks eyes with him feeling faint yet still she stands upright. Smiling softly she murmurs "ji" yet still he holds her gaze completely oblivious to his secretary who watches on with complete jealousy…
"Bani, do you know where your office is??"
She blushes and whisperers a faint "No…but Mr.walia it is ok meh dhoon longei."
"Nahei, I do not want my employees to get lost on their first day of work as I expect them to do as much work as possible and how will they work if they can't even find their office?We don't have time for fun and games here bani!….Anjali…please take miss dixit to her office."
Hurt at his brusque manner she turns away, waiting for Anjali, who more then happily comes rushing to her side practically pulling her out of the room. Bani feels that he is still watching her yet she refuses to let their gazes meet.
He hardly knows her yet; he is still so drawn towards her. Wondering how anyone could be so shy yet still so anxious around him. Not knowing why, but a sudden strange feeling has awoken inside of him.
