You see the Raizadas are going through tough economic times, they even had to sell Anjalis pretty saris and jewelries. Therefore Arnav thought it would only be fair that he sell some of his clothes as well. I mean Anjali loses her husband and wardrobe at the same time.

I mean the poor girl would be devastated.

Just look at the family, they had to get rid of Mama, Masala Mama, and Laxmi because they were using up too many resources in the house.
