Echoes of the past come to mind...when he said to Archana that you should marry the person you are in love with. I really think that Arjun getting shot may help him come around. I think he also doubts Arjun's intentions...remember what he said when he was busy slapping him around that day? He said "why didnt you tell me? I could have pacified her somehow and done something had I known early on but how come things went so far? You got engaged in front of everyone!" I think he truly doubted Arjun's intentions...was convinced that he was some kind of playboy. Realizing just how much Purvi means to Arjun will make him realize that they truly are in love...and it is the real thing. I truly think he was only seeing things from Ovi's point of view and her pain...Im hoping this helps the blinders come off.

I am not saying he will never come around, but not this time, so soon. I think he is realizing what Purvi means to Arjun, he has seen and heard it also. Today he even said to Arjun "Just as you care for the wellbeing of Purvi, so do ...:" the unfinished sentence that he had. I never questioned Manav on his anger towards Arjun. as a father of Ovi, he is right in his thinking.
It is just that he knows that Ovi is already upset by his gesture to Purvi now (I mean, Manav) , and would not like to hurt her more. Even if he has started to realize what Purvi and Arjun mean to each other, he may not acknowledge it YET, just for Ovi's sake.
He probably will give his aashirwad eventually, but I think it is too much to expect from him. For his loyalty will always to Ovi first, rightly so.

I too think Ovi went to the cops. She has already made up her mind to cause trouble The way she looked at Arjun and later at Manav and Acchu it wasn't good. Then Savita calling out for Purvi when Ovi woke her up. It must have upset Ovi even more. Why is Savita so kind all of a sudden? I think looking at Acchu's state she must be feeling guilty for snatching away her (Acchu's) real daughters. Savita is realizing what a wonderful mother Acchu is and how much love she would have given those 2 girls if she too had gone to Canada with them 18 years ago.

How did I miss this post Arch 😲
I just totally love your predictions, sometimes hidden, because they come true, especially when it comes to PR. I remember your really positive posts during arvi breakup. 😛 Just awesome analysis Archana⭐️👏👏⭐️. I feel Soham being the way he is, is not his fault but Varsha's, she was selfish, she couldn't give him a good upbringing, yet she stole him. 🤢

Well, I have to say that there is no doubt that Manav and Archana in particular, are truly acting like distraught and worried parents here. Even though Manav is downplaying the depth of his feeling for Purvi, from the written update (have yet to watch the epi so bear wtih me here), he does not allow DK to relieve him of the responsibility and take the easy way out...although stepping aside to defer to DK and Arjun, under the circumstances (considering Purvi is about to be his bahu) would have been perfectly acceptable and put him back in Ovi's good books.

I also see another angle to Arjun getting shot. It may bring Manav and Purvi closer and change the whole equation. Arjun getting shot, seeing Purvi's cry of anguish and grief when he does, and Arjun's anxiety over Purvi will make Manav realize some harsh truths. Purvi did not steal Arjun from Ovi or do any dhoka...Arjun never loved Ovi like this...and even Manav cannot deny it. He saw Arjun's behavior in Canada...and watched Arjun/Ovi's friendship as they grew up. There is no way he can deny that while Arjun may have agreed to get engaged to her, this type of all-consuming, depth of feeling was never there. I have a feeling this set up is a good thing...and him getting shot...will drive home the point to Manav of what is right and what is wrong...what is true and what is not. I feel like the temple conversation between him and Ovi had a lot of subtle meaning. He clearly told Ovi he has to be with Purvi in this...and Ovi uttered those words...sense of foreboding "in that case baba you have lost me forever".
So sadly, Manav and Archana ended up with 2 kids that have exhibited an inherent lack of morality and basic humanity
1) Ovi (not even having the compassion to realize Purvi's life and honor were at stake...a beautiful young girl in the hands of 4 goons is every parents worst nightmare...given that it could have been herself...she is still unable to exhibit even an iota of humanity. More than sadness and grief...or even jealousy...but I get the funny feeling...that she no longer laments or longs for Arjun...hearing him talk to Purvi may have opened Pandora's box for her...so that all those vices...revenge, hatred, etc are going to be her agenda from now on.
2) To be honest I am not sold on Soham/Vishnu either. I think the fact that he shoots Arjun proves the point right there. Tomorrow's scene that was shown on SBS should confirm things here. He had Manav in front of him with a gun to his head. His original target was Manav and he had him as well as the money. What then was the need to shoot Arjun if he is not so bad as we think? Why shoot at them like that at all? The fact is simple. Arjun was right...and just like the movie Ransom...Mel Gibson called it correctly there too. Once he had the $$ he had no intention of letting any of them leave the place----alive. I think he is very cold-blooded...and does have an obvious bond with and need for approval from Balan. I dont think any revelations about his birth and past are going to change that...I just dont see it. Its either the character or the situation. In his case, this is his character now. There are children of mob bosses and gangsters who turn out to be good, compassionate human beings...lacking the taste for bloodshed or aptitude for murder. So it doesnt matter how he was raised. If he had the basic, inherent character...he would be unable to be so ruthless or cold-blooded...irrespective of who his parents are and how he is raised.

Superb analysis...to the point and well articulated. Thanks a million.

Trish thank you so much dear! 😊 I remember that time too...during their breakup and engagement fiasco...it was a tough time and there were times when I was sweating bullets myself that perhaps I was wrong in what I thought the outcome would be!! You have no idea how much I breathed in relief that all turned out well and I didnt make a fool of myself after all!

Thanks Parmeswaran...appreciate the compliment and thanks to all of you for liking my analysis! (Makes me want to take over the helm from Shyamala and start subjecting you to the long daily posts and episode analyses Arch style 😉...except that it would be very tough shoes to fill to write on a caliber with Shyamala of course :))
I did watch the episode finally last night...and the Ovi piece is intriguing. Where did she go, and to what purpose??? Also, I couldnt fail to notice the look of anger and resentment on her face when she saw Arjun sitting outside. Before, she would have been concerned, or as her previously deluded self, definitely taken advantage of the opportunity to go up to him and display some concern or something. Its plain to see that she has accepted the truth for sure...that Arjun does not love her and does love Purvi...unfortunately not to anyone's benefit though...it looks like it will end up being to their detriment instead.

Thanks Archana. One of your wonderful strengths is bringing positivity to arvi fans during arvi breakups. I was quite upset then and quite inspired by your posts and how you kept up the hopes of many of us during that harsh time, and you sort of knew what the CVs were getting at and presented it superbly and logically for us to understand. Your posts kept me going during that phase. Shyamala ji is brilliant with her critical analysis.. Love her posts too. PR forum is actually one of the liveliest and most knowledgable of all forums on India forums. Thanks to every enthusiastic participant.

Hi, i had thought Ovi will walk out with the brown brief case with the ransom money, as the Police were keeping a watch on Manav, so he asked Ovi to bring the money or something, which is why she had gone in her car and all...ROFL Laurie, she obviously didn't go home to change...

👏⭐️👏⭐️Nice post Arch, welcome back, we missed you! Granted there is a life outside of the PR forum😃, but we have MISSED U and UR posts!!!😳
Loved ur post, agree especially with the Soham/Vishnu part...and am waiting to see which way the wind blows in the CVs writing- but you bring out tremendous points about the cold blooded nature of his profession and doings, which he does not flinch in the slightest to shoot...and that too when he had Manav and the ransom money briefcase...when the bird is in hand, why worry about two in the bush?
Keep posting...nice job...
