Rishbala : The bathroom & kitchen secrets.
One can pretend with anyone . One can hide anything from anyone. One can always think that nobody is watching. But nobody can fight the voice inside that is often the voice of truth – often scary and hard to even hear. Still, that is one voice that you cannot suppress.
Rishabh and Maddy , in a way, dealt with that voice inside them – Rishabh strangled it with another attack. Maddy drowned it in a breakdown, bursting into tears.
Ideally, after having ruined Maddy and her family, and knowing how flamboyant and fiendish Rishabh is , the man should have been celebrating. He should have been happy , demanding an item number from BittuG , singing his "Chhalkaa" song – but he didn't. Instead , he was sitting all alone on his bathroom floor , holding a glass of wine that he was least bit interested in it. His vintage grin, his evil smirk, his antagonistic demeonour missing. A cold face and quite a vulnerable and soft sitting posture. Doing what? Thinking about Maddy. Interestingly, none of his thoughts are negative. He only recalls the beauty and tragedy of it all alongwith her guts that turn him on – the first time that he saw her and she took out the BBB of his ego and honour – the time when she fell into his arms that sparked something which he thinks is animosity – the time she walked away from him giving him a tigress glare just because he had made her heart skip a beat.
All thoughts and memories of having seen her , of having met her, of being hated by her ,of suffering the suffering that she wanted for him, of the spark between them that does not allow him to let her go. This is Rishabh's secret that even he doesn't know in his conscious head – she has become the powerhouse of the intense passion that defines his entire personality. He converts it all into animosity , hatred and war because he doesn't understand what he feels. Maddy is stirring up things inside him that he has never felt before . Of course, everything is intensified in him – dense , intense , viscous , so when something that he has never felt before is overtaking his mind , he is trying to counter attack with the villainy that he has conditioned himself to.
Its no surprise that the very next morning , when BittuG is telling him to close Maddy's chapter , he wants more ruin for her by BBM/SMS/MMS broadcast. Why? Because he thinks that this will help him satiate this madness that he feels for Maddy. Maybe , it will make him happy even when nobody is looking.
Rishabh does not hate Maddy. He just cannot comprehend what she stirs inside him.
And what about Maddy , then?
Many people on the forum say now and then that Maddy absolutely hates Rishabh. That's not true and even Maddy knows it. Her situation has divided her into a schism – Part 1 that stands like a china wall of support and emotional healing for her broken mother and family , a part that categorizes Rishabh as a villain jiski use totally bajaa deni chaahiye, a part that is of Madhubala , the daughter , the family weaver.
But we have seen before and we saw Maddy's secret today again. Part 2. The hidden part of her being that she would never want to face , the part that you only wish Rishabh should not find out about.
When, having healed her mother, she puts her to sleep in her lap, all her anger and threats against Rishabh soften to reveal a vulnerable emotional face. Like Rishabh , she thinks about all that has passed. But what exactly does she remember? Rishabh's dishonouring of her and her family ? His kitchen politics? His disrobing of her and her parents in society? NO.
Maddy remembers Rishabh's declaration that she loves him. She remembers him saying that her eyes search him and only him. His so-called lies ring in her head like a truth that can totally break her. Am glad that at that moment , Trishna came and put her hand on Maddy's head – Trish may not know the actual storm raging inside Maddy but that affection was needed.
But that did not help, did it? She leaves the room , leaving Paddy in Trish's care so that she can go out and just release this suffocation of a dormant truth that is plaguing her. She goes to the kitchen, starts cleaning plates but Rishabh and her own feelings threatening to show up stalk her even there. Mukku's call, Trish's love , the whole world's reassurance cannot see her secret. She is drawn to the man she hates and this feeling is causing her a psychological stress.
Between hating Rishabh , dealing with the pain and humiliation that he has caused , taking care of her collapsing family , getting insulted at every nook and corner, Maddy is strained by something that nobody knows – an abnormal stalker-ish feeling for her arch-enemy.
When you look at Maddy dealing with her threatening monster of a feeling for a villain like Rishabh , you seriously wish and hope that Rishabh never finds out her secret. The kind of man that Rishabh is today , if he was to ever know even a fading whisper of what Maddy's heart hides , he will not see the beauty and his own luck in it – for him, it will be the kind of victory that suits his menacing persona.
I might sound like a sadist when I say this but hey Maddy , hide what you feel. Even from yourself. Rishabh shouldn't know , he simply cannot know at this point or in near future.
To say it crisp and to-the-point , Rishabh and Madhubala do not hate each-other. They are just two hopeless people who have crossed each-other at that juncture in life where what they can give each-other is what bleeds inside them. No beauty , no happiness, no starry skies , promises and sacrifices – all that Rishbala can give each-other and will give each-other is a bond wrought in pain and balm. Everyone should actually steer clear of their way – whatever and whoever is in their way will be destroyed.
P.S- Just saw the promo on COLORS ( lagtaa hai SBB ki dariyaa dili dekh kar sharam aa gayi) . Maddy called herself Mrs.RK Madhubala instead of Mrs. Madhubala RK. Kyun? Kyunki Rishabh tharkey kameena munh chadaa peepa kisi ke peecche nahiin chaltaa. Toh apna naam kaise Madhubala ke peecche lagwaaye? I have never seen a bigger megalomaniac than him on screen.
