Part 5
Arnav and Khushi reached RM.In the drawing room Anjali,Nani,mami,payal and NK were seated chatting while Anjali's daughter Anjana and Payal's 2 yr old son piyush were playing together on the floor with some toys.
Anjali saw both of them coming "Arey Chotte,Khushijii aap dhono aagayi" ( Hey Chotte ,Khushi you both are back? ) She looked curiously at them "Kya hua? Kahin tum dhono phir se jagda nahi shuru ki na" ( What happened.You guys dint start fighting again did you? )
Khushi as usual was the first to speak up "Nahi di aap inse poochiye.Hum jagda shuru nahi karte" ( No di,you ask him.I dont start the fight ) giving him a mean look still irked about the fact that she was not allowed to eat mango.
Arnav glanced at Khushi equally irritated about the argument on baby names "What the?? main jagda shuru karta hoon? Jagda toh tum hi hamesha shuru karti ho" ( What the ! I start the fight? you are the one who always start the fight )
Others looked at the two soon to be parents amused while they both fought like kids.
"Hum? humne kya kiya bathaiye.Aap hi toh bachon ki naam ko lekhar hum se jagda kiya " ( Me? when did i start the fight tell me? you are the one who started the fight on baby names ) Khushi replied ready for another round.
"Hello Hi Bye Bye ! eei dhono phir se ishtart hui gaye.Gaad knoch kab shut upwa karenge" ( Hello Hi Bye Bye ! these two again started.God knows when they will shut up ) Mamiji commented rolling her eyes, looking at them squabbling.
"Hey Nannav,Khushiji aap dhono nagda karna bandh kijiye" Hey Nannav Khushiji you both stop your nagda ) NK tried to stop them.
"Nagda nahi jagda" Both of them answered NK simultaneously in an irritated voice.
NK was taken aback by their tone and immeadiately retreated "Ok Ok sorry jagda"
Anjali shook her head smiling and spoke to them while Nani and payal watched quietly smiling at them "Arey Chotte,Khushiji aap dhono phir se wahi naamkaran ka jagda shuru kardi! hey bagwaan!Aap dhono dho dho bachon ki Ma or papa banne wale hain par kudhi bachon ki tharah ladte rehte ho " ( Chotte ,Khushiji you both are again fighting on the baby names.Oh god ! you both are going to mom and dad for two babies but you guys are fighting like kids yourself )
"Di i told you yeh phir se woh stupid names ko lekhar beti hai.Main iss barein main kabhi nahi maane wala" ( Di i told you she is again sitting on the stupid names.I will never agree to this ) with that he went upstairs to his room.
Naniji just shook her head smiling "yeh chotte bhi na.Khushi bitiya aap ihaan ayiye humre paas beit jayiye" ( This chotte is always like this.Khushi dear,come here and sit with us )
Khushi complied.They all sat there chatting for a while.Hari Prakash came and announced that dinner is ready while came back changing to his casuals.
Arnav took hold of his wife's hands walked her to the dining table pulled her chair and made her sit next to him.
Khushi's gaze fell on Pickle and she squealed happily "Arey wah aam ka achaar" ( Oh wow mango pickle ! ) She immediately grabbed her plate and started filling it with the pickle.
Arnav gaped at her shocked "Khushi yeh tum kya kar rahi ho? Plate main pure ki pure achaar hi fill kar rahi ho !" ( Khushi what are you doing? You are filling the entire plate with only pickle)
"Phatti saadi ee ka you eatings only pickilch" ( Phatti Saadi what is this you are eating only pickles ) Mami asked astonished.
"Hume sirf achaar hi chahiye" ( I only want pickles ) happily licking the pickle with her fingers.
Arnav glanced at di and nani in frustration.
"Arey Khushi bitiya aap sirf achaar khaa rahe hai.iss haalath ma itna achaar khana teek naahi hova the" ( Khushi dear,you are eating only pickles its not good for your health at this time) Nani tried to reason with her gently.
"Haan Khushi tu pehle uss plate ko neeche rakh aur isse khalo "( Ya Khushi you first keep that plate down and eat this) Payal scolded giving her another plate filled with healthy food with lot of vegetables.
"Jiji humme woh sab cheesen nahi khana hai.Pl aaj toh humme yeh khaane dijiye na"( Sis,i dont want to eat all that.Pl let me eat this today ) looking at everyone with her puppy dog face.
"Khushi no way.Tum yeh pickle nahi kha sakti.Now stop acting like a kid aur chup chap isse khalo" ( You cant eat this pickle.Now stop acting like a kid and eat this) Arnav took away her pickle plate and replaced it with the plate which Payal gave.
"Par Arnavji hume iss khana pasand nahi hai.Iss main kuch bhi teeka nahi hai" ( But Arnavji,i dont like this.There is nothing spicy in this ) she pleaded with her most innocent look.
Arnav shook his head adamant "Khushi tumhe yaad hai na Dr ne kya kaha tha? Yeh khana healthy hai.ab chup chap khaalo aur hum sab ko bhi khaane do" ( Khushi you remember what the doctor said right.This food is healthy now eat it quietly and let us also eat)
"Arey hum ne aap sab ko khane se kab rokha" ( When did i stop you all from eating ) glancing at everyone.
Arnav annoyed glanced at his di "Di dekha, yeh hamesha aise harkate karti rehti hai.Aur aap kehte ho ki main iss se jagadta hoon.Ab aap hi dhekiye" ( Di did you see,She always does such silly things and you tell me i fight with us.Now see for urself)
Anjali continued chuckling "Aap dhono bhi na. Khushiji aap pls hummare liye thoda sa khaalijiye " ( You two ! Khushi now pls eat little for our sake )
"Teek hai di but kya hum baad main kuch jalebiyaan kha sakte hain?" ( Ok di.But can i have some jalebis later ) she asked her with a hopeful expression.
"Achha teek hai baba pehle aap yeh kha toh leejiye" ( Ok now first eat this ) smiling at her while Khushi reluctanctly agreed and started eating.
Arnav released a deep breath.He is not sure how long he'l be able to put up with her antics ,before he pull out all his hair and run out on the road screaming.
