"My best friend? Who? Aman?" Arnav asked, confused.
"No! I'm talking about mum! She's your best friend! Not Aman Uncle! You're always yelling at him. How can he be your best friend, daddy?" She tilted her head and raised her eye brows as if doubting his intelligence.
"But you don't let Daddy yell at him anymore, do you?" Arnav smiled down at her.
"Yes! I don't and thats why Aman uncle likes me so much. Ok now, daddy do you promise not to tell anyone?"
"Yes Sweetie!"
"Promise?" She asked him as she quickly pecked on his cheek.
"Promise." He smiled as he leaned down to kiss her too. This was always how they sealed their promises.
"Okay Daddy, here it is." She whispered secretively as she opened her palm to reveal a chocolate bar. "I got this from Bhaiya's bag!" She disclosed, her eyes dancing mischievously. "And this is the third time I'm doing it. When he comes back from school, I quickly sneak into his room and get this from the small front pocket of his school bag! He doesn't even find out!" She smiled cheekly.
Arnav's face lit up with a proud smile on hearing this. Ashar was so like him, it was unbelievable! Unlike most big brothers, he didn't do sweet things and then later brag about them. Instead he did nice things discreetly, not taking credit of it. Just so he could put a smile on his little sister's face.
"Sweetie, I think Bhaiya knows about it. Thats why he gets you a new one everyday." Arnav told her, knowing Asmara was too young to understand her brother's unspoken love.
"But Daddy, if Bhaiya knows that I steal his chocolates everyday then why doesn't he change the place? He always keeps them in the small front pocket of his bag." She argued.
"Because he wants you to find them, Princess. You're very lucky to have him as your brother. He loves you alot." He explained.
"What are you guys talking about?" Khushi, who had quietly sneaked behind them, asked making both of them jump.
"Nothing!" Arnav replied nonchalantly while Asmara quickly jumped down from his lap and ran out of the room.
"You heard what Asmara told me?" He smiled, turning towards Khushi.
"Yes, I did. Ashar is truely your son. A smaller version of you. And I'm the luckiest girl to have both the Senior and Junior ASR in my life." She smiled at him proudly and he encircled her in his arms.

"Daddyyy! Bhaiya yelled at me!" Asmara sobbed later in the evening, while hugging him tightly.
"But you must have done something Sweetie." Arnav replied softly.
"Bhaiya didn't want to listen to the story I was telling him cos he wanted to study but I started telling him anyway, and... And he yelled "Enough" at me." She explained as tears ran down her face. She could handle everyone's anger by giving back a witty reply but never her brother's.
"Its okay, Princess! Stop crying now. I'll talk to Bhaiya, okay?"
"No, don't! I'm not going to talk to him either." She sniffed.
"Okay I won't. Do you want to watch a movie now? I've downloaded 'Kung Fu Panda'. Wanna watch it?" He tried to distract her and it worked as she nodded her head saying, "Not with Bhaiya. Only you and me." Arnav smiled as he quickly got the movie running on his laptop and they settled down to watch it.

"Did you talk to Ashar?" Arnav asked Khushi but she shook her head in response.
"I think he will talk to Asmara himself in a while. But it'll take him some time. You know how he is..."
Khushi stopped talking when she heard voices coming from Asmara's room and they quietly went to the door.
Ashar was sitting on the bed next to Asmara who had her arms wound around her legs and was looking away from him.
Ashar smiled before he started reciting,
"Toffee se methi hai,
Churan se khatti hai,
Khatti Methi hai teri Kahani,
Meri Asmi sabse Sayani"
He always used her pet name Asmi when he was in a loving mood. "Asmi, now its your turn."
"I don't remember it." Asmara replied back a little stubbornly, still looking away.
"Papaad ka tukda hai..." Ashar coaxed her gently.
"Papaad ka tukda hai,
Jab dekho okhda hai,
Daita hai wo Asmi ko Ansoo motay motay,
Wo hai ghussay wala, Chotay ka chotay"
Asmara recited, using Anjali's loving words for Ashar, "Chotay ka chotay" to rhyme the poem, before she launched at her brother, hugging him tightly while Ashar stroked her hair and chanted 'I'm so Sorry, Asmi' under his breath.
Arnav stood quietly in the doorway, one arm slung over Khushi's shoulder who was positively crying with happiness while tears threatened to spill from his eyes as well.
"Precious little angels, aren't they?" He whispered and she nodded in response, too overwhelmed with emotions to speak.
Arnav had to admit, his family had brought religion into his life. He had never believed in angels and heaven before he met Khushi and had Ashar and Asmara.
