Israel vs Lebanon

The difference is that Israel is hitting targets (even if they are civilian) to neutralise Hizb. fighters whereas Hizb. is firing hudreds of rockets at Israel purely to kill anyone and everyone. There is bound to be civilian casulities in WAR no matter how hard you try, it is a sad and true fact.

You have all been blindfolded with the lies of America. I agree the killing of a soldier was wrong but it doesn't justify the killing of 1000 innocent people. A survey conducted by a human rights group in America found that 1% of those killed were actually terrorists. And you tell me if an agressive oppressor takes over your country, then you would want to support the closest thing that would defeat the enemy. And people say its a sad fact that there are always causalties but if a country is hitting targets blindly for example camps where people are staying for shelter then thats hardly justified. Please everyone wake up to the true facts. This is genocide the mass killing just like the Nazis performed. It is deeply saddening.

weird most of us don't get taken in by lies from the U.S. The Indian press is fair and shows us both sides of the picture.

I agree with Abhijeet's initial post, but recently after reading about the casualties have been feeling Israel although started of in the right foot with plans to flush out Hezbollah, became too bold due to U.S's support. I condemn the figures we hear everyday of the number of people that are dying.

We have discussed before if it was us Indians we would have not dealt with the situation in the same way , and we Indians continue facing aggression on a regular basis from our neighbours. Although India reacts with maturity and i appreciate it on the other hand we have Israel thats still a young nation and is still making mistakes.....mistakes that are way too costly for every one.

Infrastructure is completely destroyed. Israelis are particularly targetting the cars of those people who which to refugee in other country. The ambulances are being targetted. One third children lost their lives. The children being evacuvated from Lebanon may never meet their parents again. We take care of our children and get worried even at a slightest fever..Look at them!! People badly injured, eyes damaged, limbs hands removed, mental trauma....any thing left!!!!???

Due to roads damage food suppy is broken down. Petrol stations are being bombarded. People are taking shelter in the open sun in such a heat. There is no food, no water in some places and people are forced to drink the water which came out becoz of a pitch created by a bomb. 1000 people died in 27 days...No human value.. nothing!! Do u still think that Hezb is still in Beirut?? Are they still there.. they must have evacuvated the place after a few days of war...

I am feeling blessed at the moment. This year we were thinking of 2 choices as our vacation: Egypt Or Lebanon. Due to busy days nothing materialized and im seeing the wisdom of GOD in it. Otherwise i wouldn't have been here. Probably with those people.. either dead.. or seeking refuge (God Forbid)!!

well if fox news is the only thing avaulable to some then i am not surprised by the little knowledge some people have of the real situation. America and Israel have on countless occasions throughout history committed war crimes and gotten away with it. Luckily in Vietnam the people stood up and managed to free themselves but that was also after many many deaths. Its easy to say Hezbullah are to blame but you cannot compare the military power of Israel to Hezbullah. Israel are taking full advantage and they will not stop. Although Hezbullah have extreme views, they have helped their society in many ways giving them access to hospitals, education etc if u cannot get reliable news then do your own reasearch and seatch for the truth yourselves. I think we all should instead of listening to government propaganda

And like we have Hamas that is now even a ruling goverment in Palestine and Hamas is a Internationally known most dangerous terrorist outfit.

We also had Hitler who was known to have done a lot of good for Germany.

We had Saddam for Irag or Castro for Cuba , they too have known to do some good for their country.

But do we forgive these dictators for what they did for humanity???

WELL.....We dont know the actual story because were far away so we dont know the whole thing we shoulnt come to any conclusion.Its not justified enough to do a war.My cousins boyfriend is stuck in Lebanon and is unable to come back.I think they should have a seec fire.Where both countries should stop so people from other nations can come back.and lebnon is not the one fighting it is Hezobolla a terrorist group that is fighting.But a Lebonon a beautiful country is being destroyed in this war.people are losing their lives so i think they should just call truce.

Before I came and read all these debates about who is really the guilty party in this war in india forums, I was completely angry at Israel and blaming them. But after coming here, I am totally confused. Its said that Hizbollah started the whole thing by kidnapping 2 Israeli soldiers, and Israel had no choice, but to attack... But is 'declaring war' the way Israel should have reacted? One term I always see on newspapers these days is 'disproportionate' reaction by Israel...Every day all I see, is images of innocent Lebanese children hurt and wounded and killed...No news of any militants or the guilty being killed...that's wat strikes me..and makes me angry...today there was a completely heart-wrenching picture on 'Hindu'..I think everyone should see it..as a reminder of how futile war is....a 10 day old infant buried alive, enwrapped in the arms of his mother...whatever did he do to die in such a horrific way..and that too when he had just come into this world!

I never see any Israeli casualties reported on paper...is it coz there is few..or is the media biased? And anyway..even if Israel wins in this particular war..it has created hundreds and hundreds of new people who hate them...Violence is never the answer...Violence only breeds more violence...but I know its easy to write on paper..and difficult to practise in life..Its so sad, the whole thing is so complex and this hatred has been going on for so long...I doubt there will be ever be a peaceful end.

sanya CNN is regularly reporting casualties and deaths in Lebanon. And if you saw these images of dead children in Hindu then sure Indian papers are reporting them too.
