Part 8:

"Oh! I wish she should be here too. Anyways I'll definitely come to your house someday nd meet her. Come I'll introduce you to my friends." She said as she pulled her with her but Geet couldn't move ahead as her hand was still in Maan's grip. Bella looked behind wen she didn't found Geet moving nd saw Geet's hand in his nd Geet looking at Maan as if seeking his permission.

"Maan, do you have any issues if I take your beautiful wife away from you for sometym." Bella said nd Maan immediately left her hands stating he don't have any problem. Geet looked at Maan who just blinked hid eyes assuring her to not to worry for anything to which she just smiled faintly nd went with Bella. After few moments Maan too went with Edward to catch up with some of his old College acquaintances

Bella excitedly introduced Geet to all her friends nd almost everyone was foreigner nd the one who were Indians were also wearing western attire over there therefore she was feeling out of place being the only in Indian dress. But seeing the admiration in everyone's eyes for her nd the way everyone behaved with her so warmly all her nervousness vanished nd she found herself conversing nd smiling with them. She was conversing with one of Bella's friend wen her gaze falls at the corner of the room nd she saw a familiar face standing over dere sipping his drink talking to someone. Her eyes widen in shock nd surprise as she recognized who the person is

"Teji Veerji" she muttered absent mindedly nd clutched the table next to her tight as she found him looking at her with curiosity nd den finally recognizing her.

She still can't believe her eyes yet. Can it be possible finding someone familiar after so many years that too just a distance away from you? a mist of tear form in her eyes seeing her brother after so many years but next moment her eyes widens in shock wen she found recognition in his eyes nd den him approaching her. She don't want to confront her past at this stage of her lyf where she thinks that she had moved on but it seems that her destiny wants something else. she don't know what she'll say to him neither she wants to breakdown now specially den wen Maan is also here with her nd moreover she herself don't want to create any scene to spoil the party of Edward nd Bella but this is also true that she's never able to hide her emotions from her Teji Veerji. She was so lost in her own thoughts that she didn't realize wen he came nd stood next to her until he spoke

"Gudiya" she heard his voice full of affection nd a lump form in her throat getting the warmth of someone's love after so long.

"What are you doing over here?" Geet asked absent mindedly still not believing her eyes.

"Edward is one of my client nd since I was in London nd he's quiet friendly to me so he invited me in his party." He clarified nd Geet just looked at him speechless.

"Gudiya I……" Teji tried to say something wen Geet cut him in mid

"Not here please." Geet said rather pleaded as she looked around making sure that no one is noticing them while trying her best to fight back her tears not wanting to create any scene

"Hhmmm lets go outside nd talk." Teji said as he gave an understanding nod nd showed her way to outside. Geet looked around herself to spot Maan only to find him talking with one of his college acquaintance. She sighed in relief finding him not noticing her with Teji nd turned to leave outside with Teji but not before giving a last glance to Maan.

"Sshhh! Bas Bacchha. Calm down." Teji said as he gently rubbed the back of his little sister who is sobbing badly in his arms like a kid. Since the tym they came outside in the garden far away from the crowd she's crying like this only while hugging him nd he knows that till now how difficult it was for her to hold back her tears in front of him.

"Veerji…. Veerji I missed you a lot in all these years…… you know everyone hates me back at home….. I was….. I was so alone Veerji" Geet said between her sobs nd Teji closed his eyes in pain nd regret for not being there wen his sister needed him the most.

"I know Gudiya. I know everything that happened with you." Teji said nd Geet pulled out from hug still sobbing

"Don't cry Gudiya. I am here Na. Don't cry please. You are my strong sister Na then stop crying." he said nd Geet nodded her head gently nd Teji wiped away her tears kissing her forehead affectionally

"I am so sorry Gudiya. I was not dere for you when you needed me the most. You were there bearing all that nd I was far away from you fulfilling my dreams without any idea what's going in your life. I failed in the promise which I made to you wen you use to tie Rakhi in my wrist that I'll protect you from every evil thing in this world nd will never let anyone harm you but I failed to Protect you from that monster, from our own family. I failed as a brother Gudiya nd I'll never forgive myself for that." Teji said painfully nd Geet felt a pang in her heart seeing guilt nd regret in the eyes of her brother

"Please Veerji. Don't feel guilty like this. You had always fulfilled your promise. Wenever Brij Veerji bullied me in front of his friends it was you who had stepped forward to take a stand for me. In my childhood it was you who use to awake whole night sitting beside me along with Maa wen I was suffering from fever. Wenever Daarji use to scold me for no reason then it was you who use to save me from his wrath. Inspite of being my cousin you had loved me more then your own sister. My own brother hasn't loved me the way you use to. Then how can you fail as a brother. You are my best Veerji." Geet reasoned herself not able to bear her brother being in guilt but Teji was nowhere to listen

"No Gudiya I know I am at fault. If only I would have not left for Canada at that tym for that project, if only I would have tried to know what's going on over here nd specially in your lyf, if only I would have been here to stop all that then probably today you wont be living this lyf. I am really a bad brother Gudiya nd I know that" Teji said nd a lone tear escaped from his eyes which Geet wiped off instantly shaking her head in no

"No Veerji you are not bad nd please don't feel guilty for no fault of yours. Nd how can you say that you were not able to protect me. What do you think that I don't know what you did for me?" Geet said nd Teji frowned in confusion listening to her

"I know Veerji that it was you who helped Meera to save me from that hell. I know it was you who helped Meera to migrate me from India. I heard Meera conversing with you on phone call that day nd I came to know everything though she still haven't told me anything but I know it was you from the start who was helping her along with others. You were not present over there physically but you were there for me in every step. You are not a bad brother Veerji trust me." Geet said amidst her tears nd Teji was just speechless seeing her sister's trust on him who won't blame him for anything

"Acha leave all this. Tell me how is everyone back at home. They all are fine Na." Geet asked innocently nd Teji clenched his jaws in anger

"I don't know nd I don't even want to know how they are. I don't even want to know whether they are alive or dead." He spat out angrily nd Geet looked at him in surprise

"Veerji" she muttered in utter shock but Teji was totally raged by the mere mention of their family

"Yes Geet they all are dead for me on the day they did injustice to you, the day they tried to kill you on the name of family honor. I can't stand even their mere sight. That day itself I broke my every relation with them nd I don't want to wish to see their faces in future too. Trust me Gudiya if that day anything would have happened to you Na then I swear I would have dig all of them alive under ground without any hesitation." Teji said in rage filled voice nd Geet instantly touched his arm to calm him down.

"Please Veerji calm down. Everything is over now." Geet said softly nd Teji took a deep breath before calming himself

"Leave all this Gudiya nd first tell me how is your baby. Nd most importantly I am uncle of niece or nephew. How he or she looks nd what's his or her name. Tell me everything Gudiya" Teji said excitedly nd Geet smiled widely seeing the childishness of her elder brother

"It's a girl Veerji. Her name is Seher nd she's not less den an angel but wen she comes in her mischievous mood den she's not less den a devil. You want to see how she looks?" Geet asked nd Teji nodded his head in excitement. Geet immediately took out her cellphone from her purse nd showed him Seher's pic which she took recently.

"Gudiya, she looks exactly like you. Same eyes, same features nd same smile." Teji said being overwhelmed as he caressed Seher's pic on the screen staring at her without blinking his eyes

"I am so proud of you Gudiya that you fight against all odds to save yourself nd Seher from that hell. Seher is lucky to have a mother like you." Teji said caressing Geet's head lovingly nd Geet just hugged her brother feeling overwhelmed

"Acha Gudiya will you do me a favour. Can you give this to my little angel wen you go back home." Teji said as he pulled out from hug nd Geet looked at him in surprise wen she saw him taking out chocolate from his blazer

"Veerji you still keeps it with you." she asked surprised. Yes its true that Teji had always pampered her lot nd always keeps chocolates with him just for her nd but she was surprised to see that he still keeps it with her

"I can't get rid of this habit of mine. Even after knowing that I may be not able to meet you again I keep this with me nd at the end of the day I gifted it to some kid thinking of you. But today I guess I got someone whom should I gift this. Probably thatsy I couldn't get rid of this habit of mine because god knows that one day I had to gift something to my niece wen I'll meet her unexpectedly nd nothing could be more perfect then this." Teji said smiling warmly.

"Seher loves chocolates very much. If she can then she could eat them for whole 24 hours." Geet said while chuckling making Teji laugh too.

"I told you that she's exactly like you. You too crib for chocolates to me Everytym. Have you forgotten that?"

"Veerji" Geet whined as she pouted nd hugged him smiling god knows after how long she's behaving like what she was 4 years back.

"Gudiya, you are happy na. Tell me honestly if you are facing any problem in your lyf?" Teji asked in concern nd Geet pulled put from hug smiling

"Yes Veerji I am happy. I am very much happy in my small world where there are no traces of my past nd……."

"Geet" she stopped in mid wen she saw someone beckoning her nd her eyes widens in shock to see Maan standing at an arm distance from them looking at both of them confused. She felt like being caught off guard as she don't know from how long he was standing over here nd what he had heard. Did he heard everything, she thought as she looked at Maan who starting heading towards her direction

Maan was talking to one of his batch mate wen he turned to look at Geet only to find him heading outside with someone. He can't see the face of the person but it pricked his heart to see Geet with any other male. He instantly cut short his conversation nd headed towards the direction where they were going but he was stopped by a call on his cell phone. He thought to ignore it but being it from one of his important client he had to attend it. Each nd every minute that he spend in that call was like an ages for him as he desperately wanted to know with whom Geet is going but thanx to this caller he was stuck up over here. Finally after what seems like eternity the call ended nd Maan sighed in relief nd immediately dashed outside before anything or anyone else could stop him further

His eyes instantly searched for Geet restlessly as soon as he reached outside but she was nowhere to seen. His heart seems to stop beating not finding its soul near him nd he just prayed that she's safe nd nothing went wrong with her. Finally he spotted at the garden with same person with whom she left the party nd he almost ran towards her direction but stopped dead in his tracks wen he saw her hugging that guy smiling. It feels like thousand needles were piercing his heart seeing the love of his lyf in someone else' arms. His whole world came crashing down nd he was just not able to do anything. He clenched his fist tight not able to bear the sight in front of him but then he calms himself thinking that may be he's Seher's father nd had finally decided to reduce his distance with her family. He should be happy for her because finally her family is going to be complete but boy was he fooling himself. He knows that he's not happy how can he be wen the love of his lyf is in someone else' arms. The mere thought was like dyeing thousand deaths for him but he had to bear it because at the end of the day Geet belongs to her husband only while he's just her boss who is irrecoverably in Love with her.

He decided to go from there collecting the pieces of his broken heart leaving both of them alone wen he heard him addressing Geet "Gudiya" nd Geet addressing him "Veerji". His heart danced in joy as it realizes that Geet is only his nd that person is her brother. Oh! He wanted to scream nd shout in happiness thanking god umpteenth tym for saving is heart being crushed. That's wen he heard Teji asking her if she's facing any problem wen Geet had mentioned about some traces of her past nd he just couldn't hold his urge to know about it nd without his own knowledge he called out to her but before he can realize his folly it was too late nd Geet nd Teji had already seen him standing over dere

"Geet, what are you doing over here? Are you fine? Nd who is he?" Maan asked as soon as he came near her eyeing Teji

"He's Teji Veerji. My elder brother nd Veerji he's……."

"Maan Singh Khurana. MD of Khurana's constructions." Teji said before Geet could complete herself nd Geet looked at him confused

"Who don't know him Gudiya? He's such a known personality in construction business. Nice meeting you Mr. Khurana." Teji said while shaking hands with him to which Maan just smiled warmly.

"But this is just formal introduction now introduce us informally." Teji said smiling widely making both Maan nd Geet confused.

"Arey, why you both are looking at me like this? I know you both are husband nd wife. Edward told me that his friend Maan Singh Khurana is coming along with his wife in the party but I didn't have slightest idea that it would be you Gudiya nd I missed seeing you both come into the party also. So now don't hide it from me." Teji said while grinning ears to ears nd Maan nd Geet looked at each other helplessly.

"Veerji it's not like that. Actually….." Geet tried to clarify his confusion only to be interrupted by him.

"Its ok Gudiya I am not complaining. Infact I am happy that finally you got someone who loves you nd takes good care of you. You deserve that Gudiya." Teji said cupping her face nd Geet looked at Maan helplessly who was equally confused not knowing how to clear this confusion.

"Maan my sister has faced lots of hardships in her past. She was punished without any mistake of hers. She had got all that which she don't even deserve but now it seems that she finally got her part of happiness nd Love with you. I just want to request you that always keep her happy. I was failed to protect her once but please you always be there by her side. It's my one nd only request to you." Teji said folding his hand in front of him which Maan instantly caught in mid

"What are you doing? Please don't embarrass me like this. I truly respect you as her brother. I promise I'll keep her happy always. You don't have to worry for anything." Maan said smiling genuinely making Teji sighing in relief nd Geet looked at him surprised.

Why is he doing all this? She was not able to say anything in front of her brother's happiness but he could easily shrug it off by saying that he's just her boss nd nothing else den y he didn't do so? She could clearly see genuineness nd sincerity in his eyes for what he said but she still can't able to understand why is he doing all this? was it because she was portraying his wife in front of her friends therefore he's just returning the favour or is there anything else, she thought as she looked at both of them conversing happily

"Gudiya, I need to go now I had flight to catch. Nd ya don't hesitate to call me wenever you need me." Teji's voice broke her trance nd she looked at him.

"Don't worry I'll come again soon nd will meet Seher then for sure." He said as he noticed her fell face

"Take care Gudiya. Always be happy." Teji said before kissing her forehead nd left from there after hugging Maan nd wishing them luck for their future.

Geet just keeps on looking at her brother's retreating figure with misty eyes until he was disappeared from her sight. Sometimes life takes an unexpected turn. Just then wen she thought that she'll never be able to meet any person from her past, destiny makes her meet with her brother after 4 long years who still loves her the way he use to do before. Who still cars for her happiness nd who had broken all ties with his family including his own parents just because of her. Her lyf may be cruel to her but it had been merciful enough to her regarding few relations which include her Teji Veerji, Meera, Sasha, Adi, Pinky nd Maan. Nd as Maan's name crossed her mind realization dawn upon her what she just thought nd what Teji had thought of both of them. She instantly looked at Maan only to find him looking at her intently while smiling.

She didn't miss the warmth in her eyes wen he was looking at her which makes her heart does summersault. It was as if he could see her soul through them. She found herself drowning in the depth of those honeyed eyes which hold numerous emotions in them. There was something in his eyes which is alien to her yet so familiar, something on which she's not able to put her finger on yet she knows that it is just for her, something which has stirred her heart yet she don't know what it is. The way he had held her hand to calm her down wen they had entered the party, the way he was by her side all the tym, the way he had assured her brother that he'll always keep her happy inspite of being no relationship between them yet he did that to not spoil that glow of happiness on brother's face nd all that things had made her respect him even more then before. But does she have any right also for someone caring for her like this, she thought as she keeps on looking in his intoxicating eyes. Geet immediately averts her gaze wen she found herself getting lost in the pools of emotions in his eyes. Maan too looked other side in order to not to make her feel awkward

"Ummm I think we should go inside. Edward nd Bella must be looking for us." Maan said after a while breaking ice between them to which Geet just nodded nd dey both headed inside.

As soon as they reached back inside Edward nd Bella had literally pounced on them asking where they had gone, why it took them so long nd so on of which Maan had given each nd every answer patiently while Geet just gave them a faint smile. Maan thought to leave from there as he could sense that Geet is feeling nostalgic after meeting her brother but Edward nd Bella was not ready to leave them so soon. Seeing their insistence Geet gently pressed Maan's hand nd as he looked at her she blinked her eyes assuring him that she's fine nd they can stay for some more tym. Maan asked her yet again if she's really fine to which she assured him yet again. Sighing Maan agreed to what she said nd decided to be there for some more tym.

They were trying to initiate a conversation between them wen Edward asked every couple to join the dance floor. Maan could see that coming but he don't want to make Geet feel more awkward so he just stood at his place along with Geet wen Bella came nd literally dragged them towards the dance floor to dance much to their denial. She buy no excise from Maan nd almost pushed them to the dance floor while she went to join Edward

Maan just stood in the middle of the Dance floor along with Geet as DJ change the song into a romantic number. He was not sure whether he should ask Geet for dance or not. What if she doesn't like this gesture of his nd took him wrong. Geet could sense his dilemma nd she don't want him to feel awkward in front of his friends therefore she gently hold his hand showing her acceptance nd this was enough for Maan to take a step ahead.

Maan too looked deep into her hazels trying to depict that he meant each nd every word of the lyrics of the song, promising her that he'll always love her like this no matter what. Geet was totally lost in the feel of dance by now nd if anything was left then the look in Maan's eyes nd the steps that he was performing all the while looking into her eyes has completed it. she was never this much close to him before nd today this closeness between their bodies was tickling her senses. she could feel somewhere in her heart what he wanted to say yet she was not sure that whether what she's thinking is true or just a fragment of her imagination. She wanted to block all these emotions which were arising a new hope in her heart but her traitor heart was not in her control tonight.

Maan instantly wiped away that drop of tear before it could touch the ground gesturing that she's not alone, that he's always be there for her. All other couple on the dance floor stopped to see the chemistry between these two souls who seems to oblivious from the whole world nd was lost in their own sweet world talking to each other with their eyes. It was as if Maan was in trance which he was as no matter how hard he tries but he just couldn't stop looking at her beautiful nd angelic face which was so close to his wen he brought her back. Never in his lyf Maan had felt this much contented like he was now holding her so close to him. At that moment only he realized that he had is nd will always her nd no matter what comes but his Love for her will never change. It was as if her heart had already accepted Maan's Love but she's still not able to listen to her heart but what she saw in his eyes she knows was something pure nd divine nd just by the mere thought of it had made her heart skipped thousand beats yet she tries her best to compose herself so that she wont get weak. Both looked at each other from the corner of her eyes nd den again looked other side not knowing what to say to other person. Geet was still dazed due to the moment transpired between them nd her heart was thudding loudly in her chest. She closed her eyes nd took a deep breath to calm down her beating heart that didn't seem to listen to her at this moment. Maan looked at her from corner of his eyes nd smiled seeing his effect on her should he say effect of his Love on her

"Wow Guys! You both have burned the dance floor." Edward's voice broke their trance nd they just passed a small smile to him

"Ya true. Didn't I told you Edward that they both are made for each other. I guessed it then only wen I met them one nd today they had cleared tiny miny doubt also in my mind, if any." Bells said soon joining Edward nd Maan nd Geet looked at each other nd den back at them

All four of them conversed with each other for some more tym after getting down from dance floor nd den Maan nd Geet had decided to go back as it was really getting late. Though Bella still wants them to stay for some more tym but looking at the tym nd realizing the fact that Seher must be missing them he reluctantly agreed to them but not before taking a promise that both Maan nd Geet will visit to them soon along with Seher. Both agreed to her request though deep inside their heart knowing that its impossible nd then left from there after bidding bye to them.

"O god! This has this has to happen now only." Maan said as he tried to ignite the engine of his car gain nd again. They had just came half way only wen his car broke down all of a sudden.

"What happen Sir? Is everything fine?" Geet asked as she noticed Maan's frustrated form.

"Ya Geet don't know why but this car is not starting. You be inside I'll just check it." Maan said before getting down from car while Geet just looked at his retreating form.

"What happen? Are you able to figure out anything?" Geet asked after a while coming out from car as he saw Maan trying to fix the car looking through the engine.

"No Geet I guess I had to show it to some mechanic." Maan said putting down the bonnet of the car helplessly.

"I'll do one thing I'll just call my driver nd ask him to bring another car nd we'll go from it because I am not able to locate any mechanic shop here. By the way have you called Sasha to check on Seher?" Maan asked as he realized all of a sudden that Seher was alone in home from long with Sasha who acc to him cant do anything perfectly

"Don't worry sir Seher is fine. I just talked to Sasha Ma'am nd she told me that Seher is sleeping after having her dinner." Geet replied with a smile nd Maan sighed in relief listening that his princess is sleeping peacefully.

"Ok then I'll just call the driver. Nd anyways weather is also changing. We must reach home before it gets worse." Maan said as he looked above seeing the change of clouds nd blowing of winds nd instantly called his driver asking him to bring another car to the spot.

A moment of silence passed between them as they stood outside the car looking at the deserted road ahead. There were so many questions lingering in his mind since the tym he had encounter with Teji but he don't know how to ask her. He don't want her to feel awkward but he can't control the restlessness in his heart also. He could recall Teji's words that he said to him before leaving. Wat he meant to say wen he said that he failed to protect Geet? What could have happen with Geet which was so dreadful? Is it related with her marriage or something else? All these questions were running in his mind along with the previous ones nd he was sure that until he'll get all his answers he wont be in peace but the main question is that how to ask to Geet about all this

"Ummm Geet, I Wanna ask you something?" Maan said after a while after gathering much courage breaking Geet's trance nd making her look at him

"Yes Maan sir" Geet said slowly unsure of what he wanted to ask. After the moment transpired between them on the dance floor she feels hesitant around him.

"Geet, I know that may be you won't like me asking this but I can't hold back it anymore. Geet, why had you given your marital status 'single' in our office records wen you have a daughter?' Maan asked nd Geet stiffened with this sudden question of his. she haven't saw this coming. She didn't even had slightest idea that Maan will ask any such question from her. She instantly turned facing her back towards him closing her eyes in order to stop those tears which were threatening to fall down from her lashes

"Geet, I am sorry I don't want to be personal neither I wanted to hurt you with my question. It was just because it's against the ethics giving the false information in the office records. But it's ok if you don't want to answer. There's no pressure on you." Maan instantly said wen he noticed Geet's body getting stiffened nd her fingers clutching the pallu of her Saree tight with his sudden question. Geet closed her eyes nd took a deep breath before turning back to Maan who was looking at her curiously

"I haven't given any wrong information Maan sir. I am single though it's a different thing that I was married." Geet said after a while nd Maan knotted his brows in confusion not understanding what she wanted to say.

"I know what you are thinking? This only Na that how can I be single them if I was married nd where is my husband? where is my family nd why is it not with me? Nd why Teji Veerji asked you to keep me happy always as he failed to protect me once? I know you never asked me but this question always lingers in your mind that who is Seher's father. So Maan sir tonight I am going to give all the answers of your unsaid questions" she said with a sly smile nd Maan looked at her curiously without uttering a word. Geet walked near the car nd closed her eyes taking a deep breath before opening that chapter of her life which still haunts her in her nightmare while Maan just stood over dere waiting patiently for her to open up her heart

"I belong to a very conservative family in a small town name Hoshiarpur in India. Though my family was shifted to Delhi in my initial years of childhood due to our business yet the mentality of the Hoshiarpur was not changed in any the minds of my family members. If I believe wat other says then nobody in my home was happy with my birth except my mother nd Teji Veerji. Everyone wanted a son who could take the dignity of the family to new height inspite of being two sons already present. But wen my mother gave birth to me den they all were unhappy even my own brother who had blood relation with me. Therefore there's always a difference between Love I use to get than the Love my brothers use to get from my family. But Maa being my mother was just not able to hate her own child nd Teji Veerji was over the moon wen he came to know that he finally had a sister whom he can pamper. He was son of my Tauji nd Taiji but he always loved me more then anything else. He was always by my side wenever I need him. Be it scolding Brij Veerji for bullying me in front of his friends or buying chocolates or gifts for me or saving me from Daarji's wrath. He was like a true brother nd I feel protected with him around amongst the members of my family who considers me just old furniture. It was Teji Veerji only on insistence of whose I was able to complete my 10+2 education nd later was able to join College. I was all ready to enter a new phase of my lyf until there was a twist of fate" Geet said with a small smile on her face reminding her tymes with her brother.

"I was just 19 yrs old nd has just gone to the second year of my college wen Daarji has fixed my marriage much to my denial. In our family women of the house had no right to voice out their wishes but I did nd has been rewarded with a trail of slaps from my brother." Geet said nd closed her eyes in pain as a lone tear escaped from her eye. Maan clenched his fist tight in pain just by the mere mention of someone hurting his angel but there's yet lot to come ahead

"Teji Veerji was not in town. He had been send to Canada regarding some project which was his dream project for almost 8 months. Though he don't wanted to go knowing the mentality of our family towards girls but it was me who insisted him to go nd fulfill his dreams. Later I came to know that he was sent intentionally by Daarji nd he had done such arrangements that neither he could contact us nor I can contact him in these 8 months so that he cant interfere between my marriage. He made him so much held up in his project that even if he wants to then also, he can't contact any of us. So ultimately I had no choice in front of me rather then agree to what Daarji wants. Being living in a male dominated family, I have to succumb my wishes in front of them. So there I was going to get married at the tender age of 19 when usually girls use to see dreams of their prince charming nd I didn't even get a chance to even think of him." Geet completed herself with a bitter smile as the memories of her past started to flash in front of her eyes like a film.

"I am sorry; you may be not interested in knowing about my childhood nd my place in my own family." Geet said as she turned to look at Maan who was standing over there quiet nd speechless listening to each nd every word of hers with utmost attention.

"Tell me Geet. Tell me Everything." He muttered looking into her eyes which were again blank but yet they showed pain in them.

"Kuldeep Arora was the name of the guy who was coming to see me that day." Geet resumed after averting her gaze from him looking ahead

"He was Brij Veerji's business associate nd his parents are no more in the world. This is what I came to know about him from Maa. I was given strict instructions from Brij Veerji nd Daarji to not to do anything which will result in breaking this alliance. Everyone at home was ecstatic with the alliance except me. I tried to call Teji Veerji but due to Daarji's arrangements I failed in doing so. So at last I was left with no other option then to meeting him. I thought that when we were left alone to talk then I'll tell him that I don't want to marry him nd want to study further so he refuse to this alliance. But like always my fate ditched me yet again as when we were left alone to talk I was tongue tied in front of me. There was an unknown madness in his eyes. The way he was looking at me, I felt an unknown fear ran down my spine nd I couldn't utter a word. Then it was him who initiated the conversation telling that he had fallen for me since the tym he had seen me in the launch party of Brij Veerji's new project nd it was him only who had send this alliance to my family. Then he said all that usual stuffs that every guy use to say during such meetings that he'll always keep me happy, I'll not face any difficulty with him around me, my wish will be his command nd what was that line, ya "Palkon pe Bitha ke Rakhoonga". Nd my foolish heart believed him nd I thought that probably I judged him wrong nd he's not like the males in my family. And Bang! We got married within a month nd I become Mrs. Geet Arora from Geet Handa. As if I had any choice." Geet said with a low chuckle staring ahead nd Maan felt a pang in his heart listening her journey from Geet Handa to Geet Arora. He closed his eyes in pain realizing that he was actually right in thinking Geet being married nd her belonging to someone else

"So I was right. Geet is married. But then what had between them that now they are apart?" Maan thought painfully as he looked at Geet waiting for her to continue further

"People say that a girl's life changes after marriage. Well I had any doubt till then; then it got all confirmed on our first night." Geet said with a lump on her throat nd Maan clenched his fist even more tightly piercing the flesh of his palms with his nails not able to bear someone else touching his Love. He closed his eyes in order to get rid of those painful thoughts that started clouding his heart since the tym Geet mentioned about her first night after marriage. God knows will he able to listen also further now. But oblivious to the turmoil going in Maan's heart Geet was lost in the memories of her painful past still staring ahead

"In every couple's life their first night is always a memorable one especially for a girl. It was memorable one for me too but not because it was a beautiful night of my life but because that night was the starting of those trail of nightmares that I had to bear every second of my life ahead in future, which are going to become the reality of my lyf. Just like any other bride I too was feeling shy but it seems that my husband was too eager to make me his. He didn't talked much except claiming again nd again that he loves me so much, that he's lost in my beauty nd all that. Then all of a sudden he asked me to kiss him nd I was hesitating in taking the initiative so I just nodded my head in no due to my shyness. He asked me yet again nd this tym sternly nd this tym more then my shyness a fear took over my heart as I looked into his enraged eyes. He took my shyness as my denial nd it enraged him to no ends. All those promises that he made to me during our first meet seems to flew out of window at that moment nd he forcefully kissed me without caring that I was even ready for that also or not. Nd later punished me by abusing whole night… sexually" she almost whispered last word painfully looking at him. Maan felt the ground beneath him slipping away as he heard her nd it makes him stumbles two steps backwards. The words itself were so painful to hear then Geet had faced all this. He felt like all his strength draining away as he was no longer in the state to hear more yet he was standing dere listening to her as this is the first tym she was opening up her heart in front of him nd don't know whether she'll ever do it again or not. He took a deep breath nd looked at Geet who once again was looking ahead as if trying to recollect words to tell further

"Yes he raped me. He raped his own wife. This is the only term we use to give Na wen a Man forcefully made any physical relation with a woman without her will. Just by happening all this after Ur marriage nd that man was Ur own husband doesn't change this fact right. He wanted me to always remember 'never to deny him for anything'. Nd since then it was a tale of every night, every day, every second. I don't have permission to go out of house. He wants me to be confined between the four walls of his house. As the tym passes I realize that he's extremely possessive for me or should I say that I had become his obsession but his this obsession has become my fear but he least care for that. If he ever sees me talking to any other man be it any of his business client also, then he wont even hesitate before beating him till death. Nd as for me well I don't have to mention what he would have done to me after that. If anyone just shakes his hand with me then I was rewarded with my burning palms. If by any chance I stepped out of the house then I was rewarded with my swollen legs which were brutally bashed by him for committing this mistake nd you know what the funny part is that at that tym also he claims that he loves me nd is doing this for my own good so that I wont repeat this mistake again.

Each nd every second I tried to change him with my Love as I thought that probably his loneliness has made him like this nd he can change after getting my Love. if not anything then atleast to make him trust me enough that I am not cheating on him, that I can never cheat on him but I failed to do so. All I try is to give my full Love nd dedication to keep my marriage working nd all I got in return is him abusing me physically, mentally, sexually." Geet said with her eyes clouded with numerous tears which were ready to fall down any time as she remembered those painful memories

"I still remember that day. Our marriage has completed 2 months nd I decided to make it special by giving him a surprise. I prepared all his favourite dishes, decorated home according to his taste. Nd after all done I waited patiently for him to come. I thought that probably by seeing all this he'll believe my loyalty. I waited nd waited but he didn't showed up. Finally I dozed off in the living room itself on a couch waiting for him. It was past midnight wen he finally came nd I got up immediately only to find him all drunk. I was shattered yet I don't have courage to ask him anything. Somehow I managed to take him to our room nd laid him on bed before talking off his shoes, socks nd coat. After laying him properly I had just turned only to go outside wen he grabbed my wrist nd within no tym I was underneath him nd he was looking at me with his red eyes filled with madness nd hunger for my body. I shuddered just by looking at them nd knew what was coming next but I don't want this not that day atleast. But wen did he cared for my acceptance nd next moment he pounced on me much to my resistance as if he was a hungry wolf nd I was his prey. I begged him to leave me, told him to not do this atleast today, that he was not in his senses but it was as if he went deaf at that moment nd keeps on satisfying himself by saying again nd again that I am his nd he had full right on me nd apart from him I don't have any other lyf, without caring that he was tarnishing each nd every bit of my soul that was left. Like an animal he clawed, scratched, bites, bruised not only my body but my soul too nd I could do nothing but just laying over dere helplessly."

A Loud sound of thunder startle her nd she shivered with fear as that dreadful night flashed in front of her eyes pausing her in between. The tears which were till now resting on her eyes finally made their way out of her eyes. She clutched the side of the car tight in order to get rid of the sudden fear that gripped her heart. Maan notices the change of expressions on her face nd in no tym he was near her holding her shoulder comforting her. He saw tears in her eyes nd it pricked his heart like anything. He rubbed her back gently to calm her down as he noticed her ragged breathings but who is going to comfort him, who is going to calm his heart which was in immense pain after hearing what the love of his lyf had went through but thi is not the end he still had to bear a lot

"Geet, are you fine?" He asked after a while wen he noticed her breathings getting normal. Geet looked at him wen she heard his voice laced with concern nd then his eyes which was in pain after listening to what she had gone through

"I am fine Maan Sir." She almost whispered nd den moved ahead creating a bit distance between them. A moment of silence prevailed between them as Maan don't know whether she'll be able to continue further nd even more whether he'll be able to listen further while Geet was trying to join the broken pieces of the picture of her past.

"You didn't tell your family about all this? Didn't they do anything against him?" Maan said after a while breaking the silence between them nd Geet looked at him surprised nd den laughed mockingly.

"Family? Which Family? Same family who had moved back to Hoshiarpur after handling the responsibilities of Business to Brij Veerji thinking that now they are done with all their responsibilities. Same family who never cared to know whether I am alive or dead after marriage. Nd even if I have told them also then no one would have believed me for my husband was too sweet in front of them nd at the end it was me only who would get a good lecture on how to be a good wife nd how to keep ur husband happy." She said while chuckling mockingly nd den again looked ahead.

"My each nd every day in his house was not less then a nightmare for me. My each day passes with a fear that what he'll do today. In what way he'll punish me today. At that tym I didn't know that Kuldeep is a patient of split personality. Wen he comes to love me then he would pamper me to no extent nd then if a tiniest thing annoys him then he would beat me till I bleed. Each day I use to think that what wrong I commit today, why is he behaving like this today? Our marriage has completed 4 months but for me it seems like I have been held captive in a dark room for 40 years. I was dyeing each nd every second with him. Those 4 months was like a burning hell to me where each day I bear his abuses, his possessiveness, his mistrust. His presence suffocates me, those 4 walls of his house suffocates me. It seems that by passing of each day I am reaching near my death nd irony is that I can't able to run away from it. His guards were always around to keep a watch on me. Each day I use to pray Babaji to have mercy on me nd take me out from this hell. And that's wen I came to know about Seher's pregnancy" Geet said nd a smile formed on her lips with the last line nd Maan didn't missed it how just by the mention of Seher's name has brought smile on her face

"That day I was fainted all of a sudden. Kuldeep was at home only that tym nd he immediately called doctor who later told him after checking me that I am nearly 3 months pregnant. In the amidst of my own miseries I didn't even noticed the symptoms of my pregnancy. Even doctor was surprised to see me being ignorant about the symptoms but then my bruised neck has said it all to her but she didn't have courage to voice out her thought in front of the Devil named Kuldeep Arora. Therefore she just left after prescribing few medicines to me giving me a sympathetic look. Kuldeep was over the moon that day nd he showered me with kisses telling how happy nd excited he is with the news of arrival of new member in our family. He keeps on planning what he'll do, how will he prepare everything best for this new member nd wat not.

But I was not happy not because I came to know that I am pregnant but because I don't want my baby to open his eyes in this environment. I don't want my baby to see how his mother faces her worst fear everyday. I don't want my baby to raise in this violent environment which can later affect his own life. I don't want to even the shadow of that monster near my baby. Nd that day at that very moment something kicked in my heart. Something provoked me to fight, to let myself free from this cage, to get away from all these if not for me then for my baby atleast. For her good future I had to break all the inhibitions. A mother in me had gave courage to Geet to fight not only for herself but for her baby too nd I decided that I'll not tolerate all this anymore. I won't sit nd cry anymore I'll go away far from all this to a place where there is just me nd my baby nd where there will be no traces of my past. Nd with that determination I decided to escape from the clutches of this Devil who was never a good husband nd I know that he can never be a good father too." Geet said taking a deep breath wiping away the tears that made way down her eyes nd turned to look at Maan who was standing just behind her looking at her intently. His eyes still had same warmth which she saw during Dance, which she notices Everytym he looks at her. She immediately averts her gaze nd looked aside before he could drown in the pool of emotions in those eyes.

"Then what happened? How did you escape then?" Maan asked curiously which was more as a whisper after a while was making Geet to look at him again

"How I escaped from him is a story in it itself. Something which gave me a big lesson in life." Geet said with a sly smile moving ahead while Maan stares at her curiously waiting for her to continue further.

Phew! so dis is it guys... ok dont crib for leaving you all at cliff hanger nd not completing Geet's past in this update itself... you guys wont believe it but it had already went 20 pages in word i.e. equivalent to 2 updates... nd i am totally dead by now🤢🤢... this is the longest update i had ever written... so do give me long long comments or else i wont update soon😡😡... Hit the like button if you all like it nd do leave your Comment/criticism... its necessary...

nd ya i know all of you are missing seher nd her scenes with Maan nd trust me even i am missing that becasue i just love to write her part but you guys have to wait for one more update for that... after next update you'll get lots oif Seher nd Maan's scenes pakka Plomishe... abhi muskura do jaldi se nd give me long comments ok,,,,
