I met her over a year ago in the Tere Liye forum and very quickly we became not just one of my best friends, but a soul sister <3 I've shared so much with her in the past year--laughs, cries, fights-- and we've made so many memories that are very dear to my heart <3 A few months back, while sharing random TejYa scenes with her, I ended up turning her into a TejYa fanatic and SBS fan š and now she is only about a notch or two lower than me in TejYa pagalpan 𤣠I promised her a TejYa OS so here it is, dedicated specially to her <3 I thought I would post it in the forum for anyone who is interested in reading the OS š
Happy Birthday Di meri!! <3 š¤

Tej and Toasty rode down the sunset lit streets on Tej's bike, Toasty's head laying against his shoulder and her arms tight around his waist. She rolled her eyes thinking of how Tej had refused to let her wear anything but a salwar suit just so that she could sit properly on his bike. He hated when she sat sideways because he felt it wasn't romantic enough. Though she would never admit it out loud, she felt the same way. It reminded her of all the dates they had gone on before they got married: meeting at the caf and then the long bike rides that ended at the movie theater, where Tej would book tickets for some flop film so that most of the theater was empty.
"Batao? Aaj kaunsi faltu ke film lekar jaa rahe ho mujhe?" She tried acting like she wasn't at all interested in this whole idea of a date as Tej made a face at her.
"Tum apni romantic nature kho gayi ghar ke kaamon mein, iska matlab yeh nahin hai ke tum mere romantic nature par paani daalo. Pehle itne mushkil se tumhe ghar se nikaali date par leke jaane ke liye aur ab tum sab kuch aur bhi mushkil banaa rahi ho." He said shaking his head and pulling her arms tighter around him as they stopped at a red light.
"Acha theeke baba. Kam se kam yeh toh bataana ke hum kya khaane vaale hain?" She asked innocently in a sweet tone.
Tej puckered his lips in a smile, "Tum golgappe khaaogi?"
Toasty saw his smile and asked,"Mere paas koi choice hai kya? Lagta hain tumne poore tayaari ke saath mujhe kidnap kiya." He literally had given her no choice in the date matter. Toasty secretly enjoyed it all--she loved playing hard to get--it always made Tej all the more romantic.
Toasty was finishing up on lunch in the kitchen and turning off the stove when Tej had come up behind her, cupping one hand around her mouth and bringing the forefinger of his other hand to his mouth to signal her to stay quiet.
"Tej, tum kya kar rahe ho?" She whispered to him once he freed her mouth. She wondered what his naughty smile would entail. He pulled her against him and held her tightly with his arm around her waist, pointing the finger of his other hand at her throat like a chaaku.
"Tum chup chaap aaogi kya ya phir main tumhe utaake le jaoon date pe?"
"Date!? Aaj? Tej..."
"Koi Tej vej nahin. Chalo, hum jaa rahe hain, maine tickets kareed chuke. Jaake koi salwar suit pehnke aana." He looked at her stubbornly, pouting like a little child.
"Salwar suit kyon?"
"Bike par kaise beytogi?" His eyes widened and he waved his hands to the sides in a shrug that meant he thought it was the most obvious thing in the world. Toasty started to argue but Tej shushed her and took her shoulders, leading her to their room.
"Sharafat ke saath jaake change karogi ya main khud tumhe..."
"TEJ!" Toasty said and Tej laughed unashamed at where his line was going. Toasty frowned and pulled out Tej's favorite salwar suit of hers. Tej followed her with a smirk on his face until she walked inside the bathroom and while giving him a look that dared him to enter and be murdered, she shut the door and got ready.
Tej and Toasty sat down at the dhaba, ordering a plate of golgappe. When the plate arrived, Tej pulled the plate towards him and put together a golgappa for Toasty.
"Tej, tum kya kar rahe ho?"
"Kehte hain ke golgappe khilaane se pyaar bad jaate hai." He fed it to her, waiting a second for Toasty to eat it before asking, "Toh...pyaar bad gayi?"
"Nahin. Kam hogayi. Kuch zyaada paani daalo na!" She complained. Tej made a face and Toasty farced innocence and made him a golgappa. She held it up to his mouth and he turned his stubborn face away.
"Khaao na!" She whined, making a baby pout, "Tej! Paani ghir rahe!" He sighed and opened his mouth up a little for her to stuff the golgappa in. Tej brought his hand up as water exploded in his mouth and almost spilled out. He started to choke as he waved his hand in front of his mouth.
"Mirchi! Mirchi!" He tried to say through his full mouth.
"Tujhe mirchi lagi toh main kya karoon?" Toasty sang with a devilish giggle at him.
"Paani!" He yelled out once he'd swallowed. Toasty laughed and handed him a bottle of water. Tej drank the entire bottle empty.
"Toh...pyaar bad gaye?" Toasty asked him sweetly, placing her face on her hands. Tej gave her an unimpressed expression.
"Nahin. Kam hogaye. Kam paani daalo na! Marvaana chahthe ho kya?" Toasty continued to giggle and pinched his cheeks, pulling his face forward.
"Aww, mera poor baby. Mirchi zyaada lag gaye. Main kuch mithai de doon?" She gave him one of her college-vaali Toasty looks with a hint of shararti. Tej smiled naughtily, understanding where she was going. He coughed pointedly, running his hand through his hair while looking to the side and doing a hisaab of who was sitting around them. By luck there was no one sitting at any of the other tables and the dhaba owners had gone inside the kitchen.
"Dedo na please. Mera mooh mirchi se marr jaa rahe." Toasty quickly leaned forward and kissed him on the lips for a quick moment, breaking away before anyone could come and see them. Tej melted, smiling dreamily and leaning his head against his hand, staring at Toasty with a daydreaming expression.
"Film ke liye dehr toh nahin ho rahe? Agar koi flop film ke liye le jaa rahe ho toh..." Toasty trailed off with a smirk.
"Toh aur mithaai nahin milega." Tej sighed seriously.
"Nahin..." Tej pouted, "Aur mithaai zaroor milega. Flop hero aur film kyon dekhoon jab mera hero mere samne ho?" She pinched and shook his nose, giving him a "mwaah" air kiss before they got up and headed back to the bike, their hands entwined and unwilling to let go.
