Vashi2Panvel.Com: Navi Mumbai: July 28: Hiten Tejwani is a name to be reckoned with. He is a face that is popular on television. This completely health conscious actor and has a very elaborate explanation as to why fitness is necessary, "If you are fit you can live life king size. Unless you are fit you can not enjoy life." He further adds, "Fitness is a thing or style which helps you to build up your persona."
This television star's day begins with a so-called proper breakfast. This is inclusive of white of boiled eggs, brown bread, omlette and a glass of milk. Lunch is a simple meal of dal roti and chicken. Evenings are inclusive of protein biscuits and bajra snacks. Hiten believes in having an early dinner. "I have dinner by 8 in the evening. The problem starts from the stomach, if your stomach is working properly then you are fit. So having an early dinner leaves enough time for digestion."
Due to his busy schedule of shoots he doesn't find much time for workouts. He however tries and spends one and a half hour 3 times a week at 'Body Sculptor', a gym in Juhu. During his workouts he combines light and heavy weight. He alternates his workout between cardio, abs and the next time he works out on the upper part of the body.
He likes chicken and indulges in it every alternate day. He also likes fish and his favourites are Bombay duck and pomfret. Rice and sweets are two things he stays away from. He often caries his dabba to the sets but if not he is okay with the food on the sets. Or he just orders chicken."
He stays away from any kind of junk food, "It is better if you don't have junk." He loves Chinese food, Chinese being his favourite cuisine." The restaurants that he frequents along with his wife to please his taste buds are Legacy Of China, Sampan at Holiday Inn and Urban Tadka. Unlike most others he says he hasn't enjoyed his dining experience abroad. He says, "I have been to US but I didn't enjoy the food there. In Bangkok I had to be very selective of the food I ate, because if you ordered chicken it wouldn't really be chicken."
He himself doesn't cook and has no qualms admitting that, but why worry when you have such a pretty wife Gauri Pradhan also a television star. He heads back to his shoot after revealing a small piece of advice, "Starters and More is an ideal restaurant for a date."
