Hi All,
Since we were all waiting for Kunal to show his 'jalwa'đ and it is not happening, I was thinking, when did Kunal actually show his jalwa so far? I can think of very few instances when this actually happened. I am not saying it is anybody's fault, well may be the cvsđĄ. But, what I am trying to say is, so far, Kunal has always given up at the last crucial moment or when it was most needed. I also believe that he does not give up when Siddhi is down or in danger. He almost always gives up when his own life is on the line. Let me recount a few instances that come to my mind and then you guys can add if I missed something.
- Kunal gave up when Richa left him 6 years ago. He ruined his career and life for this witchđ¤˘I still don't understand what he saw in herđ Anyway, nothing or no one could bring him out of this state for 5 long years including his family. He was in some way keeping to his principles by letting down the entire family. Gold medalist lawyer never attempts to even take up cases during this phase of his life. I cannot completely sympathize with Kunal for being so insensitive towards everyone else but the witch𤢠Anyway, my point is, he did give up when his family needed him the most
- During the rape case, he started off with huge macho dialogues and the first hearing was that of a gold medalist, of course. But soon gave into emotions and was banned from defending himself. In between, when Siddhi was down, he did encourage her and get the no objection paper(or whatever that green paper was) from Thakral. He also saved Siddhi when she was kidnapped and shot. He did not give up then because it was siddhi's life or career on the line. Then for the final hearing, we saw him giving up again. He asked Siddhi not to go to court (of course its out of love and concern for her health), he did not go out and search for proofs against Richa after Rohit ran away, he did not try to catch hold of Rohit. He simply came back and slept in the hospital room with siddhi. Even before the hearing, when siddhi urged him to go to court, he denied saying he rather spend the time left with her. So, he again gave up at the last minute!
- Now, during the murder case, he started off again as a gold medalist lawyer and as soon as he was arrested, he gave upđ˛ I mean, he looks like he doesn't care if he lives or dies. He loves Siddhi so much.. but he doesn't feel like thinking about getting out of the situation he has been put in! He only took on the blame to save siddhi but he thinks his work is done and anything can happen to him now and he is fine with itđ He has given up again but in Monday's episode, he was shown emotional again and warning siddhi because siddhi's life might be in danger since Rohit is alive! I know he loves siddhi a lot and does not want anything to happen to her but he doesn't seem to understand that him being away from her is hurting her even more than the physical damage rohit may cause to her.
Again, I am not blaming Kunal but I think cvs have written his parichay in such a way that it is his character to give up at the crucial time and Siddhi has to take it upon herself to give him hope or save him in the last minute. So now, I think Kunal sitting and idling in jail with his brains switched off is keeping with his character that has been sketched from the beginning!
Hope in future, Kunal learns this very important lesson that only fighting till the very end can give the desired results and Siddhi successfully brings about this change in his personality as wellđ
